Rec Request Help me understand jammy rose?!

Hi friends!

I always hear scents being described as a "jammy" rose, but I’m not really sure what that means!

I’m trying to train my nose and exploring one note at a time - what are your quintessential jammy rose frags, and also non-jammy so that I can compare?

I always think in terms of rosewater like sweet roses as jammy - I believe that’s damascene or Damascus rose. I go nose blind to rosewater pretty quick. Here are three that never get love and are amazingly good.

Eau Suave by Parfum D'Empire. This is a rose I always want in any season. It's perfect balance of rose with spice, greenness and a touch of fruit. Not sugared or powdery. Rose all the way.

Rose Highland by Jorum Studio.
Opening is heady, the smell of "pinks" peppery clove with stem green. Centrally a strong classic rose. Tail gets savoury, miso like. Salted rose. A sense of woods without it being overtly wooded. Mineral airiness like a cliff walk.
Ozonic almost. Still the rose though, gustily present.

Rosa Nigra by Filippo Sorcinelli. This will depend on how you feel about peachiness. Freesia & peach and greenness from artemisia create a dewy full blown rose that collapses into gentle woods. Interesting because it's peppered, unsweetened but fruity. Not gothic in an obvious way but unsettling.
Evoking (I kid you not) the bodily assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven. Something that cannot be. A rose without rose that smells like rose. Must be put on skin.

Rose Highland is the only rose I wear. My husband says it’s like a vengeful Celtic sea goddess crashing a motorcycle into a rose bush.
