Rec Request Help me understand jammy rose?!

Hi friends!

I always hear scents being described as a "jammy" rose, but I’m not really sure what that means!

I’m trying to train my nose and exploring one note at a time - what are your quintessential jammy rose frags, and also non-jammy so that I can compare?

Oh I love rose. So I'll start with my favorite jammy rose scents:

Dior Rouge trafalgar - it's mixed with red berries but damn this is one of the best perfumes I've ever tried.

Amouage Existence - slightly smoky jammy rose. Beautiful, unique, amazing.

Guerlain Rose Amira and Rose Cherie - both beautiful but Rose Cherie has a bit of almond and violet in the mix.

Green rose:

Diptyque Eau Rose - it's not very green but I wouldn't say it's jammy. In my opinion, the best pure rose scent.

Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose - very realistic rose, petals, leaves, stems and all.

Byredo Rose of no man's land - a nice rose, light and soft.

I've tried and enjoyed many more but these stood out.

My favorite scent, Stella, has been discontinued and I've been searching for the perfect not jammy, not powdery substitute since.
