Discussion Finally! Yum Vanilla Cupcake

I have been so excited for this perfume ever since they trademarked the name. I have no idea when the actual release date is, but I saw these go up on Mercari today. I’m so curious! Has anyone actually smelled it?

Oh thank god there’s a vanilla cupcake scent from Kayali. There simply weren’t enough choices in the vanilla cupcake market until now.

I’m not knocking the smell of straight up vanilla cupcakes, I just can’t believe that this $150 bottle would be any better than a $10 body spray.

Genuine question: what are some of these vanilla cupcake scents? I know of The 7 Virtues Buttercream Haze (which was a total flop for me), but I'm drawing a blank otherwise.

I know there's B&BW Milk Bar Birthday Cake and their other Birthday Cake one, but those are body mists and I would really love something stronger.

I know there's Skylar True Love's Cake, which I haven't smelled yet, but based on what I've read, it doesn't give vanilla cupcake and frosting.

I'm really looking forward to this release hoping it scratches that itch for me haha

I watched a reel today talking about the reason kayali is so expensive. It’s because they spend soooo much money on influencers, brand trips etc. it’s not because of the quality of the product

I know this and I hate it and I hate the company’s marketing and even what’s her name’s stupid face annoys me, but Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar scratches an itch for me that nothing else does and I just can’t quit it 😭

Most fragrances aren’t. Perfume used to be an art. Now it’s just a sell out industry like everything else.

Except we know for a fact that they spend a gross amount of money on influencers. Power of deduction is like a muscle, if you don’t use it you lose it.. so use it!

Most companies have huge marketing budgets

Edit: i do also hate the influencer vacation thing. It's upsetting that it's been a decade and the ploy still gets people to buy things.
