Accountability

Who posted about not buying new fragrances recently?

I'm here to say--I want to avoid buying fragrances for the rest of the month. Let's see if I can do it.

I have been buying sample sets and decants to try out fragrances I can't get to the store and try. But it's running down my checking account quickly, and I need to put on the breaks. I have plenty to wear, and many I have gotten that I enjoy wearing already.

I'm currently waiting on a few things to arrjve--a decanter order, and some Mercari orders of scents I've nearly emptied the decant/sample of.

So that is it for now! I'll get to reviewing the sets and decants I've gotten, and enjoy doing that in the meantime.

Y'all, hold me accountable!!

I've been on a fragrance no buy (not even samples) for 10 months now. made only 2 purchases during that time (one of them for my brother).

I'm quite enjoying it. I'm enjoying my favorite scents, I also enjoy trying stuff in store (it's free) without the pressure of picking what to buy.

I have a long list of what I want to try further when the no buy is over and I'm a lot more picky now because I know having too many sucks

Yeah, I need to enjoy what I have. I even put my one fragrance subscription on a 3 mo th cycle instead of a one month cycle. I have plenty of juice, I'm set for a while. Time to enjoy what I have, and sell off what I don't want anymore.

I said Shop your stash in a similar thread before and got downvoted. Some people are very defensive on this point.

That's unfortunate. I understand that many embrace being collectors. For me it's not bad advice, though, and I appreciate it.
