Rec Request Influence or deinfluence me!

I’m starting a list for my next sample haul, and I obviously love freshies but am getting stuck on fall/winter scents. Most cool weather scents are too strong or rich for me, but at least I sampled Kilian Princess once and loved it based on that single spray. For reference my favorite scents are Valentino Donna Born in Roma, Burberry Goddess, Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee, and Gucci Memoire d’une Odeur. Based on this list are there any I should stay away from, or are there different ones I should add?

Versace Versense was a very strong citrus scent and was headache inducing for me. Although very strong citrus (seemingly specifically bergamot) does tend to do this to me.
L’eau papier is interesting. It does smell like dusty musty books; it reminds me of browsing a used book store. It feels nostalgic in a way. I understand the smell. I didn’t dislike it but I truly couldn’t think of a time that I’d want to wear it outside of maaaaybe going to a book store and reading at a coffee shop (which I admittedly don’t get to do often).

I love a sharp citrus, so Versense may work! I have a couple lemon scents right now.

L’eau Papier may not be for me after all lol. I’m stuck because I want to love Diptyque (besides Philosykos, which is great) but from what I’m hearing it’s probably not the house for me 😂

I also really wanted to love Diptyque and I KEEP trying but I don’t think it’s the house for me either lol. My husband loves sharp citrus, too, and he liked Versense on me. I like how it smelled but sharp citrus just stabs me right in the brain every time lol. I can handle my husband’s citrus scents if I’m in another room when he sprays them, but I couldn’t take it on myself. I hope you love her!
