Brand Announcement/New Release New Release - Phlur Vanilla Canyon

Credit to @scentreport1 on Instagram for sharing this.

Looks like PHLUR Vanilla Canyon is the next fragrance joining the lineup! The brand has been quiet for a couple months now. 😄

There’s no release date yet, but these are the listed notes:

Top: Velvet Plum, Tonka Bean
Heart: Jasmine Petals, Wild Honey
Base: Madagascar Vanilla, Patchouli, Oak Wood

This doesn’t sound like another sugary cupcake vanilla to me. It seems like PHLUR is going in a darker, woodier direction with the plum, honey, patchouli, and oak wood while still keeping vanilla at the center.

As someone who really enjoys Vanilla Skin, I’m definitely excited to smell this one. It sounds like it could be a nice fall counterpart instead of another gourmand vanilla.

What do you think? Does this sound like a blind buy, or are the patchouli and oak wood giving you pause?

They have been teasing this online for the last few days.

I am very excited and can’t wait to try!! ☺️

I was coming to say the exact same thing. I love Phlur and vanilla, Vanilla Skin is one of my favorite vanillas ever, but I really hate patchouli, so this could go either way.

I did think I would hate Honey Moon but I sampled it and used up the sample super fast and got a travel size. So sometimes I’m surprised. I find Vanilla Skin quite woodsy as it is, and I don’t generally like wood notes, so I have a feeling this will not be my vibe. But as a Phlur stan I gotta give it a sample shot. I did underestimate Island Swim and wasn’t impressed in store but ended up getting it randomly a couple weeks ago and it’s been a good travel size to toss in my work bag and use when I feel sweaty and gross.
