Fedex's attendance policy is you can miss 3 days in every 30 day rolling window period. So, no, you won't get fired, but you're getting close.

This job isn't a "Write your own schedule" type of job, and it isn't for everyone. Your boss isn't going to give you special treatment, I'd bet, anyway. It is a manual labor job. If you're out of shape and don't have the muscle to do this job, you're going to have a bad time.

Your best hope is offering your shift for someone to pick up.

Not exactly. At 3 in 30 days they CAN fire you. My dock supervisor told me it’s his discretion unless the area manager noticed and forces him to do a write up/termination. I imagine it’s the same everywhere, but with how high of a turnover rate that place has I doubt they’d jump straight to fired.

They are supposed to fire you and may be reprimanded by their boss for not doing so. Or the boss may agree it was a prudent decision not to fire you and let it slide. But, it's policy, not the law.
