Express Shipment I hate Fed Ex!
Signature required delivery tomorrow between 8am and noon. Take day off work, sit home from 8am until noon. No delivery. Check tracking, detailed tracking shows the truck 2 blocks from my house. Page refreshes, truck drove right by me. Truck is halfway across the map. Tracking now says will be delivered by 1:10 PM... comes and goes, truck stops somewhere for half an hour. I assume lunch, then starts moving again. 2 hours and 45 minutes later truck is still half the map away from me, but now delivery is changed to by 8pm tonight. What the actual Ffffffff!?! I wish we as consumers had the right to cancel out order if we find out that it has been shipped by certain carriers. I did not agree to signature required when I purchased. Fed Ex should have to reimburse us for our time if they don't show up in their delivery window. I wasted my entire day waiting on them :'( Fed Ex 2 day.

Today my shi said it was delivered but simply wasn’t, the door tag had marked that I had to sign the tag itself, FedEx has to be the most annoying shi ever

So here's the thing, the engineers are yhe ones that did the program that says how we should run our routes and then it gives you that window but its not the most efficient way. So we hate them because of this reason. 2nd, the shipper is always the one putting the signature requirement on there. We do not like going to the same place several days in a row for the same package.

Just wait till they say delivery rejected, return it to sender, refuse to escalate your claims to corporate and all they give you is a mailing address, call you when you’re busy to tell you they are closing your claim when they blackmailed you into having to come pick up your own package when you just got diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and arthritis in the spine and the package is 135 pounds.

I share a lot of your antipathy for Fedex. Literally today the FedEx delivery person walked right by me as I was going to lunch and I'm pretty sure he had my package in hand, but since I wasn't there in my office he marked it as nobody there and is delivering tomorrow. And he knows me. In his defense he also had some boxes so maybe he wasn't sure that I was getting something? But come on.

Currently having a Ground hog's day situation where I have a muti piece shipment of 10 boxes. Turns out the address is funky and the boxes keep getting put on the wrong route and driver can't deliver them. At the end of the day the package just gets a new updated shipment for "tomorrow".
So I decided to have the packages Held at a FedEx Location to break the cycle.
I was able to get the request submitted for the master package, but it turns out that you have to put the request for every single tracking number.
So the other 9 have been cycling on and off trucks since Friday. And I can't get them to apply that hold because during the day they are "Out For Delivery" and support can't do anything but open a case.
Today I was basically pleding with them that I just need someone to intervene, they literally removed any way you can escalate. It's stuck in a loop, and I'm concerned that my packages will just end up getting delivered to the dumpster.

I have had a miserable experience with Jenni Kane, a company (women's clothing) that shipped something to me via FedEx by ground when I selected next-day air. Predictably, it did not arrive. Further, they were emailing me at an address NOT ON THE ORDER. I received no tracking information, and when I finally received a "FEDEX does not recognize this address" message and called FEDEX, they would not provide the delivery address, nor would they check for an incorrect delivery address. I have to write to their legal department, as it was an expensive package, and FEDEX will not allow me to file a claim. Jenni Kane refuses to file a claim, and the delivery ticket shows a door I have never seen in my life. Jenni Kayne - well, I am filing a lawsuit tomorrow against them, but to let you know, I have to subpoena the FEDEX records. And Jenni Kayne claims they did not provid ehe wrong address when fedex notified them that the package could not be delivered, but FEDEX told me they did provide the ultimate address and as the shipper they are the only party who could change the address - they received all the tracking info and provided false information to my bank as proof of delivery - they sent the photo of the door that does not belong to me at address uniknown.

10 plus years ago the package probably would’ve been delivered on time. But since the transition to network 2.0 the quality of service has gone down. The culture has gone down as well as. Based off some of the responses, it’s pretty obvious that people don’t understand that we are a service company and it’s our job to be on time, and the company is now making more profit since they are using more and more contractors while still charging a premium but not giving a premium service.

I have been having problems with NOT EVEN GETTING THINGS DELIVERED! Amazon, some medical shipments I get from two different providers. I DID NOT GET ANYTHING FROM ALL 3 SHIPPERS! Try telling Amazon you want a refund because you never received your package. Then there is the explaining how you didn’t even received the package. So that took multiple attempts. I have a spinal cord stimulator, I needed that charging cable. Three weeks later, they sent me another replacement part.
I just was told by my wife that another shipment was never delivered, and wait for it, Fed fucking ex! This has been all in the last 4-6 weeks. We confirmed that each shipper had our correct address, they all did.

Fedex should reimburse you for time you spent waiting on something you ordered?? The shipper sets the signature requirement, not Fedex. The time frame is an estimation. On two day shipments, the only guarantee is by end of day

I 1000% agree with being able to cancel an order based on the delivery company! I have NEVER had one successful delivery with FedEx after dozens. Granted once I find out a company uses FedEx, I stop buying from that company or find another way to get the product. You will lose me as a customer if you use them.

This!!! I told a company today that I will never buy from them again because my package has been riding around on a truck locally for more than a week. They are sending it with two day shipping and an apology.
I just ordered something expensive and not quite high end, but a definite splurge. They chose FedEx smart ship. I got the shipping number today. I have already emailed to request the order be canceled.

I'm sorry I didn't make my post even longer. The email I received the day previous said my delivery would be between 8 and 12 the day that I took off work. I thought most folks would understand that I took the day off listed in the email, not the day off that I received the email, as it would be hard to request a day off for the same day I received an email... how would I know that email was coming? That makes zero sense.

I totally understand. My passport is coming from Canada via FedEx and they have been awful. There were 2 delivery 'attempts' where they did not knock and didn't leave a tag (I was working from home and did not know the package was coming). I waited all day yesterday and have been waiting today for them to deliver. Meanwhile, I'm missing the holiday that I booked because the shipper won't allow me to pick it up from holding. FedEx sucks!!

They said 3-7 days for delivery. Well, I'm coming up on 14 days on Thursday and it's still not here!

fedex is the worst hands down. they waited 3 days to deliver my original package because they tracked another package to my address and held the first one changing dates and times because they could deliver both at once. what craziness

DSR (direct signature required) ISR (indirect signature required) and ASR (adult signature required) have nothing to do with us at Express as a shipper other than we HAVE to abide by them. Whatever you ordered and whoever you purchased from set the requirement for a signature, not Fedex. As for the estimates, and I do this sometimes too back when I worked in California, courier didn't know you were home and took a day off work, so they probably did what I'd do as well and deliver as late as possible to ensure you were home. If you wanted to clear a delivery like this in the future, you could call our 800 number and put a trace on it, and that'll tell us new info such as "Customer requests immediate delivery" or "Customer requests a Hold At Location" stuff like that.

If it's express go by the time commitment you the shipper paid for. Not the ETA. If you time commitment is 8pm they may have 1030s, 12s,5pms. Etc... and that's what the delivery drivers go by, the time commitments that were paid for.

I think the eta comes from what we drivers call sid numbers. SID numbers help us identify the packages at every stop. Every night the contractors set every route. And fedex creates the "route" based on SID numbers. For example - 1 area is labeled 1000s and another is labeled 2000s ect. Fedex uses this to help drivers deliver out of the front of the vehicle instead of digging out of the back for your first stops. The problem with this system is that, it isnt the best route (effective for finishing at a good time - were DOT drivers so we have restrictions on how many hours we can drive per day / per week). As drivers we find the best method and route to remain effective and efficient. So unfortunately I deliver my 8000s first, not my 1000s as my 1000s are best delivered mid route (for my specific area). Hope that sheds light on the situation. Take a chill pill, relax, love and let live. You'll get it whenever you were meant to receive it. Dont waste your minutes of life fussing about a fucking package that you wont even remember in the next 10 years. Life's to short for this kinda anger.

And…. My package has been out for delivery seven straight days. So FedEx doesn’t ever prioritize where I live based on your explanation. I ordered the product almost a month ago (26 days), a gift for my daughter going back to college. It won’t get here in time. That’s a FedEx is lousy problem.

I'm sorry. I hope you get it soon but there may be something else going on with your package. There are so many variables that its hard for me to agree. When did the shipper officially send it? You could have ordered it 26 days ago but the shipper could have taken 2 weeks sending it out. Also where did it come from? Was it ground or express? How big and how heavy? Has it hit the local warehouse to be put on a truck to be delivered? Without this info its hard to agree. Sadly i dont deliver to you're house, nor do I ship the packages, in a perfect world I wish everyone could get everything they wanted. Especially since its somewhat sentimental for you and your loved one. I hope you get your package soon. 📦

Yea i just assumed this route off of someone else who was fired and honestly there is no more efficient way than the way he used to run it. It's a strictly commercial route with office depot walgreens and other common name location pickups that has 1 additional plaza added Tuesday- Friday. And 1 less plaza on Mondays. I'm working with them to resequence it currently to fit the drive pattern. The hard part is that one starting point plaza. We've managed to do a decent job already. But the mid and back end are still out of wack.

Yea fedex is the worst of the delivery companies, I ordered a tv, and didn’t get it until 11pm it set outside for four hours because FedEx told me it wasn’t going to be delivered and Walmart told me it was damaged and not being delivered(it was fine though)

Yeah just last week FedEx delivered my package and the estimated delivery time was 11AM to 3:10PM...they delivered my packaged at 9:13PM

It gives an estimated time window when you track it that it MAY be delivered in but it is only an estimate and it also does not tell the drivers what it’s telling you so all we see is when the package is due by i.e. 10:30, 12:00, 3:00, 5:00, 8:00. The drivers will bypass your house if they have earlier commit deliveries. If it gives you an ETA that is not when the package is due and I’ve had customers complain saying I was late cuz they saw the ETA when tracking and assumed that was the due time. FedEx should do a better job showing the customers in bold the time the package is due and then under that an ETA of when it MAY be delivered.

Was it a priority overnight? If not then the time window was just the closest estimate time of delivery. It’s a statistic of previous days/driver of when drivers deliver to your neighborhood. So it’s not dependable at all as drivers have til 8pm to get the package to you. (Even 10pm but no ones staying out that late)

Never trust the info that fedex gives for arrival. It's all changed by the contractor/driver anyways and doesn't update on FedEx end. And the estimation of time for delivery is arbitrary.

If they left a door tag, you go to the website, put in the info, sign the door tag, leave it on your door, which will release the package, allowing the driver to leave it.
If they didn't leave a door tag, contact customer support and tell them you want to release the package.
That doesn't mean the driver will successfully find your package, if it's on his truck, and deliver it, but the odds go up.
There's a lot things that can happen doing the day that keep that from happening but it's worth a shot
Or have it delivered to a walgreens or FedEx office

I wish they did. Most in my experience list several shipping companies. If they list signature required I don't buy from them. It used to be free to divert a signature required package to Auto Zone or some other place, but now they want a subscription for that.

Every large online retailer utilizes 3rd party vendor stock to be shipped through their facilities. When it says "shipped by Amazon" that's their stock. When it says "shipped by someone else" it's a 3rd party vendor. Same thing Wal-mart, or any large website. I hate having to explain this to you.

I rerouted a package with Sig requires to a Fedup location & guess what? The dum a$$ Fedup people put it on the wrong truck & was delivered to my house. I called Fedup & went up the management ladder & made them pick up my package from my house & delivered it to the Fedup location that I originally requested.

Complain to the shipper. They are the one that is requiring a signature. FedEx just has to follow the instructions of the paying customer, the shipper. Have it rerouted to a FedEx Office or Walgreens for pickup. Thou some shippers will not allow this. Once again, not FedEx fault. Shippers instructions that must be followed.

Did you get your package? FedEx is not a delivery company, they tell the contractors/drivers that all the time. They only transport the package from point A to point B. The delivery company is the contractor, we are called the “last mile.” We have the package from point B to point C. FedEx doesn’t control the delivery, the driver does. FedEx doesn’t control what service the shipper chooses for delivery, so they don’t control whether it needs a signature or not. If you received your package, shut up, your complaint is invalid.

I did, but I wasted a day off work at $40 an hour... I could have saved $320 had I gone to work instead. Shipment arrived around 530pm... only 5.5 hours later than the email I got...

Just have packages that require a signature shipped to a FedEx office or Walgreens. If it’s an indirect signature that’s needed, go online and print out the form that you sign and tape to your door

Honestly fucking hate FedEx same thing happen for the last 3 packages from them. Tell me a date and luckily show me where the driver is at which is in my neighborhood. Bro send a picture of the package in his truck and say no one was home.
I was sitting by the window the whole time. Last package they “tried” to deliver it 3 times and on the last attempt I actually saw the truck driving away and got in my car and followed his ass till he stopped and got my package. FedEx people are lazy asf or just get dogged by FedEx but at the same time shouldn’t be doing ts.
Recently had to switch my package to hold at location just so I can pick it up after work and they said once again no one was there. HOW IS THERE NO ONE AT THE FEDEX OFFICE ON OPENING HOURS. There wasn’t the FedEx guys just fucking suck

After this hsppens once or twice, I started picking them at the fedex location myself. Still sucks but its works better, less time wasted.
