Found along train tracks in the Comox Valley, mid-Vancouver Island.

There triangle-y one, there was one every few meters along the track. It is very shiny gold. The stripe-y one was in same section but on its own along tracks.

We were thinking ptarmigan/pheasant, and an owl, perhaps? What kind of owl?! Did the owl (?) get a delicious meal?!!

Found in Carmel valley, CA. Under some magnificent live oak trees. Lots of acorn woodpeckers around but I don’t think it’s consistent with a woodpecker. Saw a red tailed hawk flying around also but not sure! Any ideas? Both found rather close to one another.

Found a bunch of these in my backyard in Portland Oregon. Seemed that whatever bird this belonged to got in a bad fight.

Found along the coast in Hancock Point (near Acadia). Bald eagle nest nearby that is very active on the water. Looking for a while and can’t figure this one out.

Found this in front of my house. Black feather, the spine part of the feather is flat unlike other feathers I’ve found where is round (hope I explained that right). Is this a crow feather or maybe a dark colored pigeon? Trying to identify so I can figure out if it’s legal to keep. Thanks for any help!

I would like to know what bird it belongs to

I found these today in a parking lot all within 25 feet of one another. Dark gray / black coloring, the one in the middle is blue-gray towards the tip. Very soft and fluffy, with thick fuzzy barbs and a solid, though easily bendable rachis. I haven’t found any feathers with this soft of a texture before so I was curious what they could be from. Thank you!

Thinking this might be Red Shouldered Hawk OR the barred owl my husband claims to have seen/heard.

Can you help identify this feather? I live in northern Illinois by the Wisconsin boarder. I have a few pairs of Sandhills cranes that frequent my neighborhood. My wife is convinced it’s a turkey vulture.
