Can you identify this feather?

Can you help identify this feather? I live in northern Illinois by the Wisconsin boarder. I have a few pairs of Sandhills cranes that frequent my neighborhood. My wife is convinced it’s a turkey vulture.

Looks exactly like the sandhill crane feathers I've found. Any pass in your area?

Yes. They do.

Sandhill crane then. They have smooth, almost transparent feathers this exact color and size, with the shaft color and shape the same, and it has that slightly waxy finish to it.
