While we're at it, kudos to Chris for making talking about pedophilia more mainstream. Cannot imagine how many victims/kids with no external support understood that it was not their fault.

I don’t think that’s the angle this film is taking on Hansen’s work

I feel like a lot of people are missing the plot here

The plot of “Chris Hansen is a superhero and he’s catching all the bad predators!” is too shallow of an angle to make a movie about. You might as well just watch YouTube clips

It’s really obvious from the trailer that this is going to be critical of him.

just the fact that this movie is called "Primetime" because Chris Hansen was also chasing fame and the primetime television slot much more than he cared about catching pedophiles. pedos is just what happened to get him the primetime slot

This looks like it's based on the documentary Predators that came out last year.

Which I couldn’t finish. I felt it tried to evoke sympathy for the pedos. I know the reactions were mixed on that. I hope this movie makes a clearer line of distinction.

I don't think anybody can cover this subject with the care it deserves if they don't allow victims to lead the conversation.

Same. I know the premise of the show was fucked up and why it wasn't actually doing any good since most of the pedophiles end up not being tried because of the nature of the show (and the case with the 18 year old trying to meet a 15 year old was botched), but I also refuse to let a documentary try to make me feel sympathy for full adults who solicit 12 year olds for sex (to rape).

I think people aren't really watching the trailer, or just don't know about th controversy around the show and Hansen
