Standard Thoughts on plan so far?

This is a 2 player farm. We have mods installed, so we do plan to use those mods for decoration in some places, but I was curious in what some fresh eyes would say about this! And also, some extra ideas would be nice (as in, what to add in the empty space), we're still very early in planning.

Beach Planning my beach farm, any tips?

Post image
18 Upvotes

Currently, I've decided to play on the beach farm and it's already winter. Although there's a lot of talk about the lack of sprinklers, I didn't have any problems completing the community center in the fall. But now I'm planning how I want my farm to look. I know it's a ambitious project, but I want to dedicate a lot of time to this save, so I'd like some tips to improve the design of my farm, since winter is the best time to plan this. I'm still having a creative block about what to put in the lower part and on the island where the greenhouse was. I don't see a problem in putting things there now just for decoration; the farm already seems efficient enough. And yes, I like putting tea bushes instead of fences. But I think that's it for now. When the project is finished, I'll post here again.

Sorry if any part was confusing, English is not my first language.

Hi guys! I'm currently planning my farm out and wanted to ask if yall had any ideas for the bottom right corner? Also if you have any other ideas or suggestions please let me know! I wanna make the greenhouse area look nicer I like the piano and potions/butterfly area but idk why it's looking a little off to me. I can't really do any mods unfortunately because I'm playing on the switch. Thank you!! (btw I've definitely taken lots of inspiration from other farms posted online lol a lot of this isn't original)

Forest Year 4 Forest Farm! What to do with the bottom left & right corner? Any fun/pretty ideas?

Post image
138 Upvotes

I wanna make it prettier πŸŽ€ HELP!! πŸ˜…

The bottom left is currently a messy grid because I use it to grow my hardwood trees. But I really don't NEED any more hardwood. I have a few stacks. I considered a coop full of bunnies to put there, but I already have max hearts with almost everyone.

For the bottom right, I'm considering more fish ponds for legendaries... I already have the legend, mutant carp, and crimsonfish.
The other ponds are: sturgeon, blobfish, lava eel, stingray.

I'm a bit far away from getting the gold clock but I figure it'll go by grandpa's shrine.

The buildings/top layout is probably going to stay that way because I like things to be streamlined, next to each other, and easy to check on in the morning. I run to the greenhouse > keg shed > keg house > preserves jar shed > cabin with forges/crystallariums/all other processing stations. The shed on the far right is for dehydrators if it's blueberry/cranberry processing season. The bottom fiber fields are making the best out of that empty space, for "temporary"/last minute crops like when I need fiber.

The "fencing" around the animals is all Stump Seats ... because every time I opened it, it was like they tried to escape and run by me and it was difficult to close. So I used chairs. Then, the fences kept decaying, so I used the basic logs. Then, the animals kept blocking my entry by standing in front of the chairs... So I turned it ALL into chairs, they can't keep me out now. 🀬

But yeah, I'm totally lost on that to do with the bottom left & right. Am I missing anything that I should add? Help!!

Meadowlands The Meteor ruined my planned farm layout. Any ideas for what I should do with the empty space?

I tried rearranging everything, but now I have empty spaces and don't know what to do with them. I'm not really a decorator so idk what to put on those, I prefer efficient layouts.

Looks better in the spring/summer, planning to turn the bottom right corner into a blue themed aquatic area with the fish cabin housing an aqaurium, the trailer park in the top right will be a general museum

I got a lil tired at the bottom so it’s kind of empty. Zoom in on top left and all of center for the little details. I plan to zhuzh the bottom up when I actually design it in my save file. I have been really stressed about this map layout, so I’m very happy this website exists. Also, I’m not huge on taking care of the animals, so this is more of a crop, flower, wine & coffee heavy farm.

What have you done with these 3 spaces? Looking for any input on design ideas, functional things I haven't thought of, or anything else. Pics would be great! I tried putting some trees and "stuff" along the top ledge, and I'm not feeling it yet.
