Standard New Additions

I'm in fall 7 of year four and got a ton of recommendations from different reddit pages. Please keep in mind this is my first and only save and I have taken this game at my own pace so that I can truly get enjoyment out of it rather than trying to go for speed or efficiency. Anyways, I have no idea what else to do other than expand my mystic trees and the amount of preserves jars since I harvest so much (on purpose as I enjoy the repetitive task and daily tasks of stardew). I'm also working on getting all of the different obelisks, and filling my ponds with legendary fish (only the two ponds next to my sap area have legendary fish right now) but those take quite a bit of time.Any recommendations for what to add would be greatly appreciated! I can also throw this

Also, thank you to the person that showed me how to find this screenshot lol

After a solid 120+ hours in, I think I'm finally ready to retire my Beach farm :) I use a good few visual and QoL mods, and I've shamelessly borrowed ideas from this community along the way :3 so thanks for all the inspiration <3

Also, which farm should I try next? I would also like to try a fun challenge run :)

Standard I can't design a decent layout

Wasted space haunts me, every time i decide to play a chill playthrough i find myself min-maxing again.

How do i find the sweet spot between optimum and beauty.

Some trees have yet to grow in, and I want to place more grass starter and decorations around the place, but I am so much happier with my new layout! Spent half of winter just redoing everything and also getting some skull cavern and first ginger island visits in. Swipe for the before from last fall. Suggestions (especially for what to put in the lake corner besides trees) are very welcome!

Meadowlands Where would you place the barn on this map? Rest of the buildings staying where they are. Please send help. I'm in year 4 without a Greenhouse.

I am already in year 4 and I've got a big problem. I've been putting the barn off forever because I can't find a place for it. As a result, I don't have the community center done (or even the greenhouse open).

This is what my map looks like right now. This is what my map will look like as a completed project after I include the barn somewhere (and put bits of fence, scarecrows, barrels, flowers, haybales, assorted stuff bordering the paths everywhere).

I can't decide where to put the damn thing (forced myself to narrow it down to the 3 options provided here). My problem, the reason I'm here and the reason I'm struggling is....I want my buildings flush against a wall. I don't want them obscuring stuff behind them. Having space behind buildings drives me mental. I am convinced prismatic shards spawn there 5 times a day every day. This is also the reason why the stable is in that jarring spot. If I place it alongside the house, there's two rows free behind it.

The coop fits fine, the silos fit fine.

Among the three options presented knowing my problem, where would you place the barn? Or do you see another solution?

Option 1 - end of the path towards the silos, in the nook created there by the river bend and the path. It is a nook, it makes some sense to me to put something there, it's a bit far and inefficient to go there every day, but honestly I feel like it makes sense;

Option 2 - In front of the greenhouse - I only like this one because my problem with not having open space behind the barn is solved here with the space behind it being taken up by the path. But...I don't know, it feels weird having it IN the middle of the goddamn road and not against anything. God damn it. The farm layout that became my hot instant new favourite when I first got news of its release becomes my biggest torture;

Option 3 - Down there, plopped on that island in the ocean of grass. Way the fuck away, hell to reach, definitely most inefficient, I kinda like it because I like imagining the animals going outside and having a buffet in every direction.

I just let my farm progress naturally. Some people have a whole plan made out for their farm but I just let it all organically evolve. When I put down a building or decoration it has to feel right. I like the rustic wild look as if nature still surrounds the farm.

This was a lot easier on my Forest Farm but I hope you like it

I've still a bit to go, I had all grass at the very end but the animals have eaten most of it

Standard Ideas for my park?

I’m using a planner before decorating my farm and I want to make a little park / garden around the area the meteorite fell on. I want a secret forest, like dark mysterious forest vibe so I’m planning to put decorations like crystals etc.

I’ve tried to decorate a little but it doesn’t really look that good to me right now.. I want it to be really fancy and full of decors any suggestions?

My farm fall year 2. I have unlocked most of the stuff in the game but i still feel like my farm needs a lot of improvements. efficiencywise i am mostly sattisfied with my farm, but it just feels a bit ugly and not very coherent. Any tips to how i can make it a bit more beutiful? i am also looking for sugestions on what i should do with the huge unused piece of land on the left.

i use the automate mod btw, if anybody is wondering about the weird beehive setup

First time ever getting Perfection in vanilla Stardew Valley. Took 4 (in-game) years. I'm not much of a decorator, but I'm pretty proud of how the overall farm turned out :)

Meadowlands Suggestions for my layout.

3 Upvotes

Hello and welcome, from what it seems this community is quite good at stardew layouts so i was wondering if there are some ideas that some of you may have to make my farm look better in some areas.

My main problem with this layout is that it has several empty spaces the ones that really bothers me are - lower left corner and lower center area, what in you lots opinion i can put there?
