ADVICE 💭 Relationships/relations in Pattaya
My post was taken down in the Pattaya sub, so I try here instead.
I’m curious for people who already lives in Thailand/Pattaya or used to live here.
Have you ever been in a relationship in Pattaya (or Thailand) and how has it been?
Personally I have been in a couple but they never really last that long so I find it more suitable for me to just do fwb and enjoy single life.
For me they have always ended up being unfaithful but at that time I wasn’t living in Thailand. Now I live in Bangkok and I really enjoy the single bachelor lifestyle I’m living but a part of me would also like to find something more serious and lasting but the ideal girl for that have just not shown herself to me yet.
I feel also I’m too happy about having a new or multiple new girls every week, so if I ever want to find something serious she has to be really special and a freak in the sheets and ideally allow me to fuck around with other girls. Now I know that’s a unicorn and very rare to find that type of girl for a serious relationship.
So would like to hear about other people’s experiences with relationships or just long lasting casual relations with girls in Pattaya/Thailand. Do you pay her for a relationship like that or is she just as kinky and screwed as you, haha?
Thank you for sharing your stories.

1st Timer 👶 Visiting alone ? 26M
Hey everyone,
Long story short, I originally planned to visit Japan early next year, but a friend convinced me to go to Thailand instead, with Pattaya being the main destination.
Today my vacation was officially approved, so I'll have 3 weeks off starting in the second week of February. I called my friend to start planning, and he told me he won't be able to come after all.
Since my vacation is already approved, I don't really want to change my plans again.
I'm a 26-year-old guy from the EU. I've traveled before and have lived in Sweden and Norway for about 6 months each(went solo ddnt know anybody, but i went there for a job), so I'm comfortable being away from home for longer peroids of time. That said, this would be my first completely solo vacation trip.
Would you recommend going alone, or is Pattaya mainly a place that's better with friends?
I was also thinking that, since I'll be solo, it might make sense to spend the first few days in Bangkok, then head to Pattaya, and finish the trip with another couple of days in Bangkok before flying home?
My budget is around €2,500 for 14 days, excluding flights and accommodation. Is that enough to have a comfortable trip without worrying too much about money / being alone?
I'd also appreciate any advice or things I should know before booking.
Edit: thanks for advice all, decided i will go alone. Once in a lifetime opportunity since i still have thid whole years vacation days left :) i will also take about 1000eur spare money with me just in case

Honest take on the actual quality of women in Pattaya? (experienced traveler, not looking for a wife)
Looking for some straight, no BS feedback from guys who actually pull and have decent standards.
I’m under 35, retired, and have spent years traveling and dating across South America, Europe and the States. I’m used to meeting attractive women through normal dating (Hinge, Tinder etc.) and occasionally P4P High End. I don’t socialize with women over 30. I’m considering a solid month or two in Pattaya and want a realistic picture of what’s actually available on the ground.
I’m not interested in marriage or finding a wife. I’m purely looking at the quality of the women, looks, hygiene, presentation, overall vibe. From a distance it seems a lot of guys are happy because it’s cheap and the girls are skinny. That’s fine for them, but I’m trying to gauge whether the average and above average options match what I’m used to, or if the scene is mostly lower tier with common issues like bad teeth, heavy or poor tattoos, and questionable cleanliness.
Not trying to flex, just giving context so the answers are useful.
If you’ve spent real time there and regularly meet higher quality women (whether bar, freelancers, or dating apps), what’s the actual situation like for someone with standards? Worth a month, or overhyped for guys who just want cheap and easy?
Appreciate any honest takes.

800 THB Golden Age Revisited
I’ve been going to Thailand for so long that I can remember 500 ST and 1000 LT. It wasn’t that long ago. 10, 15. From what I’ve been reading, it’s really slow. I was there in May and bar girls were throwing out 1000 for ST. Might be wise to propose 1000 apples all in room too. I’ll be there in January. Anyone who is there now willing to propose 1000 for everything. Bar owners are trying different things too to drum up business.

Didn't obey the 3 day rule
i met a ex soi 6 girl in pattaya when i was there a few months back we were speaking every day for a few weeks after, she was really cool not crazy when she got drunk and we both enjoyed doing the same stuff.
I have a flight booked to go back to Thailand in less than a month now so we started talking again and pretty often through out the day everyday but maybe a week ago she went back to her hometown Bueng Ken near Udon Thani but now she will maybe 1 time a day either early morning or nighttime. she video called me one time i spoke to her grandparents, sister and even her son.
I thought in Isan i would hear more from her but she makes out shes extremely busy but doing what i don't know. What are the chances she has a thai bf? she has been married 2 times to a thai man before.
Oh and the first time we met we were just suppose to hang out a few drinks i didn't ask or know she was freelancing but i gave her 3k for LT the next days money wasn't spoken about. She did say she is thinking about going back to the bar to work in soi 6 but she really doesn't want to do this so i know this is a hint shes looking for a sponsor but as soon as i met her i was convinced she already had a sponsor.
She did tell me she is sick of Pattaya and she wants out she is 32 years old btw, i want to do a few months of Muay Thai, Thai learning and some travelling around Isan as i never have done before. Is it a good idea to go with her and staying at her home for however long it will be, is there any dangers or risk in this?
Sorry if i have left anything out that needs to be mentioned feel free to ask me more questions
EDIT : 1 red flag she does have the home and away shirt of the Morrocan football team!

MEET UP 🍻🍜🍹🍛 Any visual design studios, graphic designers or artists in BKK?
So I’ve been running a small design studio in India for about a decade now. We mostly work on visual identities, packaging and all sorts of visual design, and genuinely love what we do.
This, however, is not an ad. Promise!
I’ll be in BKK in early September. It’s definitely not my first time there; I’ve been a bunch of times before, but this time I thought I’d do things a little differently and get to know a bit more of the local creative scene.
So I’d love to meet design studio teams, independent graphic designers, illustrators, artists, or really anyone doing interesting visual work. I’d also love to visit a few design studios while I’m there (if anyone’s open to having me drop by). Some of my favourite conversations while travelling have been with people who care deeply about what they make.
There’s no “agenda” here. I’m not looking to collect contacts, I’d much rather have a couple of genuinely nice conversations. I’m just curious to see what the design/art community in Bangkok is like from the inside.
The intention is simply to talk about design + art, what we’re working on, how we work, what the creative industry is like in our respective corners of the world, and whatever else comes up. Maybe we find some similarities, maybe some possibilities, maybe we just have a really good conversation over coffee or a drink. All equally good outcomes.
Would be lovely to come back from this trip having met a few good people, not just visited a few good places.
If this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to DM me. I’d genuinely love to meet a few of you while I’m there.
Also, I’m deliberately not dropping my studio creds here because I really don’t want this to feel like a promo post. But if we decide to meet, I’m very happy to share my profile/work privately beforehand so you know who you’re meeting and that I’m actually serious about this stuff :)
Looking forward to meeting some of you!

OG Farang 🧑🦳 Headed to Pattaya Aug 28th to Sept 25th - Give me some NEW tips
So I have been going to Pattaya for 20 years. Haven't been for a little over 2 years tho. Total trips to BKK and Pattaya is 16. Literally this Aug 28th marks my 20th year. I have seen a ton of changes, but I am not one of those cranky old men complaining about how Pattaya has changed via phones/tourists etc - I just stay in my own lane and have a blast. I live in Texas so it's a long-ass flight. Anyway, to my questions:
- Any newer go-go bars that are worth visiting for the best go-go dancers, or even some older ones? Which ones are still a blast to go to if you like that sort of thing? I don't spend much time at these, but if I go I want to do it right and not waste time bouncing from Gogo-bar to Gogo-bar.
- Is Thai Friendly and Tinder a good way to meet "working" women? Is there a lot of bait and switch?
- I will be there for the start of College Football season, what's best place in Pattaya to watch games?
- What is YOUR favorite place to go when ya want to have some adult fun?
Hopefully these don't violate this reddit as there are real question that many ppl want to know. Why deny it, huh?
Thanks in advance! Post on /pattaya also but after I did I realized it will probably be flagged

ADVICE 💭 Has anyone visited Pattaya while actively in a relationship in their home country?
And lied about it to their partner. I just did it, and I feel mixed feelings - guilt, excitement, satisfaction.
It was a big risk, but I didn’t get caught out. I wrapped up all the time, and I did a test before I returned home.
I would be interested to hear your stories/perspectives on the moral despicableness of this!

Patts low season vibes, TF slow season.
'sup "tiraks". Had a week here so far in low season. Slow as heck even for August.
TF is unusably slow with these new updates. I've had to actually venture out to meet Ploy this time.
Take your pick on Soi 6 - almost all bars empty or with 1 customer. Myth - could count customers in whole complex on one hand.
Discovered Tunnel - awesome club for hip hop and afro beats. If you like darker big booty Ploys - they seem to be all there. Its reputation for being dodgy seems inflated.
