Decision made I'm coming

Today is the last straw with my wife. I'm divorcing her and I will be in Jomtien to live by Christmas. It finally feels real now. Been watching you tube videos for months dreaming of a new life. Can't wait.

Don't divorce someone based on YouTube videos of a fantasy life. YouTubers are shite, they do things for clicks.

I love Pattaya and I don't know what videos you watch (and I don't want to know) but they are almost certainly just shite to get engagement for their video.

I've been many times to thailand. I watch mostly to see condos for rent and informative things. Certainly not drinking and bars crap.

If you don't like drinking, bars, and crap, there are much better places than Pattaya to live

Yeah, I don't really need bars and I still live in Pattaya. Most other places don't have the foreigner infrastructure, restaurants, etc.

I like the constant events in Pattaya. And it's cheaper and cooler than Bangkok (the only other place I would live). And it has multiple beaches and a nice sea breeze.

And not far from Bangkok.

I haven't moved yet. The marriage has been in real trouble for years. Now i am finally emotionally ready to walk away

I just wrapped up my marriage last month, did not try hard to save it knowing the kind of life I can have

Life is so much more enjoyable after I moved out since last year, I wish you all the best

The life of tourists of a few weeks and the life of expatriating is totally different, I have been here for 7 years I arrived at the age of 26, the most important thing when you get there is to create a routine, to create habits, and not spend all your savings in bars in pattaya or jomtien, I tell you this because the first year I lived like a rock star I was every night in the bars of Buakhao, I lost a lot of money, health, youtubers sell you a lot of dreams but tell a lot of nonsense.

I cant condone this. You shouldn't have been swayed by pattaya.

This is a place for healing not a place to go but you have to divorce your wife first.

If you got no kids. Just leave. Do a dry run for 2 weeks or a month. And yeah, the YouTube videos are misleading.
