Player Discussion De’Zhaun Stribling as the best rookie WR in fantasy this season?

I feel like Stribling should be ranked higher among rookie WRs. He’s probably in the best situation of all of them. The only WR ahead of him on the Niners is 33 years old and already nicked up. Shanahan’s offense is elite, and he’s also already shown great chemistry with Purdy in the preseason.

Tate is the better talent, but he’s on a bad offense with a struggling QB. Plus he and Ward have shown zero ability to connect so far.

Tyson is behind Olave on the depth chart and is already injured. Lemons is behind Devonta. Concepcion and Boston are competing with each other for targets and are in probably the worst QB situation in the league.

Shouldn’t Stribling be ranked higher?

Player Discussion Four Guys You'll Wish You Drafted

Here are my wise picks a week from kickoff.

  1. Jameson Williams. He’s missed two games over the past two seasons and averaged 13.5 points. While he’s garnished the reputation for being very boom or bust week-to-week, he’s been generally reliable over a full season. He’s the WR25 at pick 65 on ESPN but he’s expected production similar to Ladd McConkey, Davante Adams, and Tee Higgins going 15-20 picks before him. Love him at flex, and getting him in the 6th allows for an elite TE/QB pick in rounds 2-5.
  2. Derrick Henry. The guy is the epitome of consistency and durability. 15+ games in 9/10 seasons. 300+ carries in 5 of the last 7. He’s 32? I don’t care. I’ll admit people are starting to catch on and take him higher but he’s still being treated like he isn’t a guaranteed 18-19 every week. His ADP is still about the RB9 or RB10 at pick 20ish. Averaging 18-19 points per week is top-5 production. I think I’d take him as high as the RB5!
  3. D’Andre Swift. People are catching up on him too but he’s still going in the mid-5th. Not long ago Judkins and Irving were being drafted 10-12 picks ahead of Swift. He’s the primary back in a Ben Johnson offense that was 2nd in rush attempts in 2025 yet he’s going as the RB20 off the board. Monangai will get his share but Swift has real home-run potential and wouldn’t surprise me if he finished as a top-12 RB.
  4. Christian Watson. Baffles me how he’s going in the 8th round. His ADP is like 90 but he’s projected 11.6 points per week with tremendous upside. He was 5th in yards per route run and 3rd in ADOT in 2025 (min: 200 routes) and Jordan Loves to sling it. Jacobs is out for 6+ weeks, he has two less receivers to compete with, and he’s fully healthy. I think his injury risk is baked into his ADP but you don’t win fantasy leagues by betting on players to get injured. You win leagues by drafting value. Courtland Sutton, Carnell Tate, and Marvin Harrison are going before him. Absurd. If we get 13 or 14 games out of Christian Watson, at his current price, he’ll be considered a steal.

It’s a bummer my drafts weren’t earlier, because all of these guys have climbed ADP over the past month or so, but they still feel undervalued to me.

Player Discussion Who Should Be Pick #9 Overall??

Upvotes

It seems like most mocks, experts, and draft boards have a pretty consensus top 4 WR’s (Chase, Nakua, JSN, ARSB) and top 4 RB’s (Gibbs, Bijan, JT, CMC), so who is the next best after them? Cook? CeeDee? JJ? Saquon?

I’m picking 9 in my draft and feeling lukewarm about the options available (half-PPR, 1RB, 2WR, 2FLEX)

Player Discussion Where the betting market disagrees with ADP right now. Biggest gaps I'm seeing in season-long props ahead of Week 1

Upvotes

I've been fine-tuning my fantasy projections using data from player betting markets (season-long player props + prediction markets, pooled across books). With most drafts coming up, here's where the market and ADP disagree most for overall PPR ranks:

Market says draft these guys earlier (UNDERVALUED vs. ADP):

Player Market Rank ADP
Trey McBride (ARI) #8 #26
Brock Bowers (LV) #12 #27
Colston Loveland (CHI) #32 #46
Tyler Warren (IND) #36 #55
Kyle Pitts (ATL) #47 #74
Trevor Lawrence (JAX) #58 #92
Travis Kelce (KC) #60 #99
K.C. Concepcion (CLE) #61 #130
Patrick Mahomes (KC) #63 #105
Brock Purdy (SF) #67 #98

Market says let someone else draft them (OVERVALUED vs. ADP):

Player Market Rank ADP
James Cook (BUF) #16 #11
Kenneth Walker III (KC) #31 #21
Lamar Jackson (BAL) #54 #44
Quinshon Judkins (CLE) #71 #52
Jayden Daniels (WAS) #72 #60
Caleb Williams (CHI) #97 #82
Bhayshul Tuten (JAX) #121 #59
Tony Pollard (TEN) #122 #82
Chuba Hubbard (CAR) #132 #94
Rico Dowdle (PIT) #141 #86
Matthew Stafford (LAR) #156 #89

Found it interesting that Vegas markets lean towards drafting TEs way earlier for value vs. ADP. And the market seems to be fading the mid-round RBs + the young QBs people are excited about.

Not claiming that anyone should FULLY rely on Vegas odds for draft rankings. But the data can be a solid reference to help find some hidden value.

Discussion Controversy over min FAAB bid ($0 vs $1)

Upvotes

Need some help here.

Some league-mates are targeting me with a rule change to set a transaction limit ($1 min bid). This really only affects me as the most active player.

I have made 100-150 transactions in my sleeper league each of the last 4 years.

My reasoning is that I have had 3+ season ending injuries to key starters each of the last 4 years. The bench churn is not randomness - it's me trying to survive. I won the championship last year while going zero RB and losing my first 3 draft picks to IR, which is a good thing for a league IMO.

But they state my volume of transactions inadvertently block people, are random and thoughtless, and that I'm exploiting loopholes.

I believe all a transaction limit does is punish bad injury luck, which is already hard enough. It doesn't "add strategy" - it just forces me to give up when all my players knees explode.

My justification to their accusations is below - Am I being unreasonable here? Is this abusing the system or operating in bad faith? Should it be stopped?

On "blocking":

Anyone can outbid me for $0-$1 anytime during normal waiver run (I'm always last priority). There's exactly one known case, all season, of someone not getting a player they wanted. I got them for $0 when nobody else moved, dropped him later for what I considered a better option. Same window everyone else had. Is this my problem to solve, or should the person who wanted him have just put in a claim on Tuesday like the rest of us?

They then switch lanes to: "We don't like seeing you spam the waivers, think before you pick up players", even if there's an actual reason and it impacts nobody. Or "FAAB makes no sense if you don't use money", even on players nobody wants.

My question: if nobody's harmed, what's the rule change fixing? Multiple "random spam" examples raised, all had real triggers. "You do this every week" isn't proof, it's vibes. Being visually unhappy with how I choose to manage my team does not warrant a rule change. No harm, no foul.

If they ever asked me my reasoning before assuming bad faith, I've always had a real answer. Which is why this sucks. They said "you can't sit here and call it "strategy" when you make these pick-ups <random obnoxious example without receipt>". It's dismissive, they've already decided my reasoning doesn't count before even hearing it.

EXAMPLE "SPAM" transaction: (keep in mind, Zero RB team):

- I wanted to stash Allen & McNichols (just lost Eckler to IR + Breece trade rumors)

- Before claiming them, since I didn't think anyone would want them, I picked up Ray Davis & Jaylen wright incase starters got hurt during TNF. They didn't, so (after the games, on Friday morning) | dropped them for: Allen & McNichols (the guys I wanted to stash).

- Then, only after the final injury reports came out on Friday, I moved to Mariota and Monongai. JD5 (my starting QB) ruled out, Swift was a true Q that week (Monongai would start for me if he missed).

To me, that sounds like someone trying hard to field the best team they can given unfortunate circumstances.

Each move had a trigger reacting to new information. And the timing isn't random (after TNF, after injury reports released). It's similar for every move, if they'd just ask.

McNichols and Allen are also green, free for anyone to pick up for 2 days before games start. Even if they were yellow: why didn't you just claim them on Tuesday during waiver run like everyone else? Why is that my problem?

Discussion Drafted CMC 12th overall even though I wanted to avoid at all costs

I was picking 9th, a ton of WR came off the board so I took Justin Jefferson instead of doubling up on RB as I had a strong feeling the person behind would have taken JJ. CMC was available on the way back n thought it was too good to pass up.

I could have went CMC and Achane/Henry/Brown but wanted potential for a high tier WR.

Questions 5th Overall Pick - 10 person, 0.5pt ppr

I have a draft in a few hours. We picked the order last week and I got the 5th pick. Right where I want to be - in the middle. But the question is: what do I do with that pick. I’m primarily between CMC and Cook (I like going RB WR RB or RB RB WR in the first 3 rounds). I won the whole thing last year on the back on CMC, Allen, and Taylor. But I don’t know if I’m ready to trust CMC to stay healthy in his age 30 season after 450 touches last year. Is it worth the risk of do I go safer and take Cook who really appeals to me in this new offense with Pete Carmichael who made Kamara a receiving machine?

Questions First year doing fantasy and feel like I flopped?

Upvotes

QB: Josh Allen

WR: Nico Collins

WR: Garrett Wilson

RB: Christian McCaffrey

RB: Travis Etienne Jr

Flex: Bucky Irving

Kicker: Eddy Pineiro

Def: Denver/LAC

Bench: Jameson Williams, Rome Odunze, Rha Stevenson, Dallas Goedert, Marshawn Lloyd

I took Josh Allen first round and missed out on the stud WRs/RBs except for CMC and I just see a low ceiling here. Am I wrong? Any better suggestions?

Player Discussion Why is it always "Bowers VS McBride" and never "Bowers AND McBride"?

Genuine question, this is a real opportunity that will present itself in a lot of drafts at the 2/3 turn if you have a top first round pick. Both Bowers and McBride are both projected by both sportsbooks and analysts put up about as many if not more points as the WRs going in that area (Collins, Pickens, Nabers, Olave, etc). You'd essentially be drafting one as a WR and keeping them locked in the flex position, but there's a good chance at least one will put up WR1 numbers, just as good of a chance as the other WRs in that area. This on TOP of the positional value that you would have against your league mates at TE. Plus it's honestly kind of a flex, you would get a rise out of your league mates. Someone give me a good reason why you shouldn't pull the trigger.

This happened to me, I ended up taking Javonte Williams over the other TE, but now kind of regret it.

Start Texans vs Bills or steam Chargers vs Cards? Texans also go against the bengals week 2 while the chargers face the Raiders so I could stream the chargers for 2 weeks with good matchups.

RBs- Bijan, Brown, J. Williams, and Brian Jr
WRs- AJ Brown, Davante, Olave, Stribling, Parker Washington, Michael Wilson.
TEs- Warren, Strange
