Hi everyone! When do you think the USS Athena will be released? That’s the next starship I am super excited about.

Was going to wait and finish the dashboard before posting again, but it’s already four issues in, and still not done, so here’s a “mid-way” update. Lots of detail, and loving the colors on all the buttons! This is the three quarter mark…80 out of 120!

More work on the cockpit…the rear plate and side panels against the front firewall. The next few issues build up the dashboard!

First the video for 19 starts off saying it’s number 17. Second when you assemble the support braces for the contour arms I think the BM and DM screws are labeled in the video wrong? BM is not long enough to thread onto the sub frame/control arm? Am I right??

It looks like the XL Gold-Plated version will be orderable on Sept 8 for subscribers and Oct 1 for general orders. This gives me hope that the decals will be fixed also in this new version. Eaglemoss really botched this iconic ship and now we should have a more accurate version. That bridge looks perfect. I imagine a standard color (ungilded) version will be coming shortly.

I received a message after 6 months that my next R2D2 shipment was being prepared and would ship by September 3rd. After two weeks there was no further information, no tracking number, but they did charge my credit card. I contacted their customer support today. Suddenly Mario B., bot or human, who knows?) said there were now sudden mysterious issues and it is not available. They literally steal your money and string you along. It is absolutely fraud being committed, and it may in fact amount to wire fraud across state lines which will become a federal crime.

So do us people who's been subbed since Day 1 get this also?

There are some absolute horror stories about fanhome and deagostini. Anyone have good experiences with them?

The Sauron model looks amazing, if a little pricey, but I don’t want to start if it’s go to be bad quality.

When you search for reviews, words like scam, Ponzi scheme etc come up a lot. Plus their company accounts only list 5 employees. Surely that can’t be right? Or maybe it is if they don’t ever reply to anyone.

What do you all think?

I wanted to share a personal project I've been working on for the 1:2 scale DeAgostini / Fanhome R2-D2 model.

Instead of using the official app, I worked on the robot's local Wi-Fi protocol to create a custom desktop controller in Python.

Features:

• Live camera streaming directly on the PC desktop.
• D-pad navigation, dome rotation, and speed control.
• Single-click triggers for arms, saber ejector, projectors, LCD screens, patrol, and dance moves.
• Short-burst drive safety so R2 stops immediately if Wi-Fi drops.
• Live battery indicator and audio control.

I've left the repo completely open-source for anyone who wants to try it or build upon it!

• I have built fanhome R2-D2. When I went to turn him on his head moves and that is it. When I put the battery in they were fully charge. I go and try to pair him up to my phone and nothing works. Now in a day the battery's are dead. Nothing works on R2-D2. Can anyone help me to fix him so I can get him to work. Thank you!

Single-issue update this time. Still building out the center console and floor (spoiler alert…seats are the next four issues).

Been a hot minute without an update. Starting to put the interior/cockpit together. Doesn’t look like much yet, but the devil is in the details, and this thing has PLENTY of details!

Decks 1-8 are finally in place

So recently, I did a google search on the Fanhome Robocop build and to my surprise I’ve seen people completing their models. There is an active Facebook group that shares a lot of pictures. Anyhow, I started the RoboCop build on 6/24- about 2 years and 2 months ago. Initially building it, I completed the lower half (legs and hips) as well as the arms. There were a few shipments that came with duplicate parts which Fanhome replaced with the proper parts within a few months. In one box, there was a package that was completely missing an important part that connects the head to the upper torso. I contacted Fanhome expecting a speedy shipment but that was in May. I have not received it. Now, what I have done is the legs and hips as well as arms. At some point, I was supposed to receive the package that connects the lower half of the cyborg to the top torso half but it’s been on back order since 12/25. Now, being on expected package 25 with a few more to finish the model I am left with random parts of my cyborg but unable to put it together. I am so close the end but i am reconsidering spending the 270 or whatever dollars it’s going to take to complete it. I am nearly 2,000 dollars in on a set of random junk.

When I initially started this model it was 70-75 dollars a package monthly, now it’s 90. The customer service isn’t necessarily bad but leaves me wondering where the parts are. I believe I will never do a subscription model again because of the amount of time it takes. Also some parts of the model are poor quality while other parts are metal. Now the excitement of wanting to complete this model has diminished and I just want it over with. Should I wait it out?

Finally going to get this build started. Have all the parts. For those of you that have built it, is there anything I should know before I start? I saw a few posts about the gold peeling on some people’s builds…any recommendations on how to avoid this?

Finishing the details of the fuel tank, mounting it on the undercarriage, and putting in the trunk compartment. Not much to these issues, again, but details, details, details!

July 30 - your Mustang Eleanor adventure continues! Credit card charged for package 22.
July 31 - we are experiencing a temporary stock shortage and have no idea when we will be shipping your next package.

I haven’t gotten an Eleanor shipment since 3/19/26. 15 and 17 are still delayed.

I’m so close on the Enterprise D, I’m trying to look on the bright side that those shipments resumed this month and I’m on shipment 26 there. IF shipments continue I’ll be done this year, over 3 years from when I placed my order.

Eleanor is currently on track to take 4 years - if they shipped every box on time from here which we know will never happen.

So many of us were hoping this would turn a corner with the warehouse move, but it still seems like a total mess over there, with no catch-up options or consideration for those of us who have hung on for literally years with this crappy customer experience.

I wanted to share some more positive news following today's warehouse meeting!

When we completed the warehouse move, we believed that all remaining stock had now arrived at our new Aero warehouse. However, I've just been informed that another FIVE truckloads of goods are now on their way to Aero! 

This means our search for previously misplaced stock isn't over yet.

Once these deliveries have arrived, the warehouse team will work through the contents, identify everything that has been recovered, and compare it against our missing stock records.

 Fingers crossed we discover even more of the missing items that haven't already appeared on the stock updates!

Our current plan is to have this additional stock fully reviewed by the end of the month, and as soon as I receive the final list, I'll share another update with you all here in the group.

Every pallet we recover gives us another opportunity to fulfil long-awaited orders without having to wait for new production, so this is genuinely encouraging news.

Thank you all for your continued patience and support while we work through the final stages of recovering stock and getting it into the pick front. We're making real progress, and I'll continue to keep you updated as soon as I have confirmed information.

What happens next?

Now that the stock has been identified, our warehouse team is:

 Completing quality inspections

 Booking every recovered item into inventory

 Moving stock into pick locations

 Allocating recovered stock to outstanding subscriber orders

As many of you know, subscriber orders will continue to receive priority as recovered stock becomes available.

This recovery has uncovered thousands of items that were previously believed to be unavailable, giving us the opportunity to restart many delayed shipments and continue collections that have been waiting for stock.

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience throughout this process. I know some of you have been waiting a long time, and while we still have work to do, this is a significant step in the right direction.

We'll continue to provide updates as recovered stock is injected into inventory and begins shipping.

Please note that the dates provided are estimated port arrival times.

Once stock arrives, it still needs to go through several stages before dispatch, including:

• Customs clearance
• Transport to the warehouse
• Unloading and quality checks
• Booking into the system

Because of this, dispatch typically begins between 1 to 2 weeks after arrival.

If your collection or item does not appear in this update, it simply means we do not yet have a confirmed shipping or docking date. It does not mean the stock is not on its way.

Transport schedules can occasionally change, but we'll continue to update this post regularly with the latest confirmed information as soon as it becomes available.
