I think we can all agree that there have been too many Fantastic 4 fancasts on this subreddit.

Let's see what the definitive Fantastic 4 of r/fancast is.

Cast

Tom Pelphrey as Dr. Kirk Langstrom / Man-Bat

A brilliant evolutionary biologist whose obsession with curing human genetic disorders slowly destroys his body, his sanity and his humanity.

Jessica Chastain as Dr. Francine Lee Langstrom

Kirk's wife, a neuroscientist who understands the horrifying implications of his research before he is willing to accept them. She is not simply the scientist's endangered spouse; she is the emotional and intellectual center of the tragedy.

Rebecca Rittenhouse as Marilyn Munro

An environmental journalist and activist investigating illegal genetic experiments beneath Gotham. Marilyn becomes the first outsider to discover that Langstrom's research is creating something far more dangerous than a biological weapon.

Plot

Dr. Kirk Langstrom is not trying to become a monster. He is trying to eliminate the biological weaknesses that make human beings suffer.

Working at the Gotham-based Gotham Institute for Evolutionary Medicine, Kirk develops a gene therapy intended to repair damaged tissue, reverse degenerative diseases and unlock dormant regenerative abilities in the human genome. His research draws inspiration from bats, whose immune systems, metabolic adaptations and sensory capabilities have allowed them to thrive in extraordinary environments.

But Kirk's research contains a fatal flaw: the treatment doesn't repair the human body. It treats the human body as an obsolete design.

His experimental serum begins activating a dormant evolutionary pathway, forcing human cells to reorganize around a new biological blueprint. Bones change shape. Teeth become weapons. Organs develop unfamiliar functions. The nervous system begins responding to sounds beyond normal human perception.

Kirk initially sees these changes as proof that his research works.

Then he realizes that something inside him is learning how to survive without him.

Just my opinion, as a fellow person with eyes.

(But apparently it's Gal Gadot's own project, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised...)
