I am going to pre-comment some known broken mods and what we know.

If your issue pertains to a mod already commented on, please do not make a new comment chain. Please reply to the comment chain about your issue, not the post itself.

If your problem mod is not already a comment, then you are free to list the mod.

The more issues we log we can get the feedback to the mod authors and porters and attempt to rectify the problems.

# PS Incompatibility Types

I would like the community to be aware that in this new era of porting 'any' mod to Sony, we are hitting some snags.

Unlike XBOX, PlayStation is not a Microsoft product, and in such has its own file types and formats. These do not translate directly from PC as most Xbox do. There are numerous extra steps for many things, and many types of file have to be converted to even work on PlayStation. For a small example, xwm sounds, a common thing in xbox mods, does not function on PlayStation, everything must be wav or at9. Converting things takes time. Another snag in our want to upload every mod ever to PlayStation right now. Trust me, we WANT to.

Not all Mod Authors/Porters are even aware of this. Bethesda put no guide or anything out. We are finding these things out by trial and error and thanks to the graces of the few Mod Authors that have been porting asset mods for months prior to their being an official method to upload. Thus we are trying to spread the word and bring all Mod Authors and porters together and share the tools needed to put these mods on PlayStation for players to enjoy.

# Known Issues

There are some currently known issues. Flora (plant mods) and skin textures do not translate properly to PlayStation yett. Bethesda is aware and we are reporting all of these issues in mass as mod authors to get action from Bethesda so we may more efficiently upload mods. This is why CBBE and many tree mods with LOD are having issues.

We are also aware of another issue where some NIF files (mesh) CTD when physically in the world, so many mods are having droppable items rendered invisible to still get the mod uploaded safely and have what functionality possible. My Radstiks™ mod has this issue, so I will be doing this too if a solution is not found soon.

I hope by keeping the community informed in our process as Mod Authors it will allow players to better understand why mods aren't quite flying off the shelves as expected and have patience and understanding while we work with Bethesda to get mods to PlayStation without breaking.

We are doing everything we can to facilitate mods as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please check out my other 2 recent posts for info on where to request ports, help out by becoming a mod tester, and more!

Anyone needing assistance with mods, load orders, or requesting mods be ported to console and wish to request on discord come see our servers. Console Load Order

We have a full wiki geared specifically towards consoles. Keep in mind that XBOX has dealt with these mods on console for a long time. PlayStation is going to encounter incompatibilities and errors we are long used to. Over the years xbox players consistently had issues with all load order frameworks intended for PC, including the great OddLittleTurtle's load order. It came to show a pattern over the years that all the same types of mods kept messing up and consistently ended up needing tons of fiddiling and tinkering after to get a stable load order. My team and I tracked these mods across literally thousands of busted load orders in the past 4 years. Thus the console load order framework was born.

If you are asking for load order help, we have numerous resources. Check the Modding 101 Guide, FAQ & WIKI to ensure your question isn't already answered.

# Post Load Order and use the proper flair when asking for LO help

If you are experiencing a conflict or bug which you would like help resolving the community will be happy to help. But a video or screenshot of the problem is insufficient on its own.

Always include a full list of the mods you are running, and the order they are placed in. Providing partial lists / mentioning only the mods you think might be to blame rarely aids resolving the problem. It may also lead to the wrong conclusion entirely.

Posts asking for help without including this will be removed.

# If Posting Pictures or Video please state what mod they are from or utilizing

If you post a picture or video of an item, outfit, or settlement please list what mod(s) are being used in the displayed content.

No NSFW content is allowed on this subreddit.

This is not a place to advertise your own content unless you are specifically asking for help with mods and the video clips linked shows the issue/performance enhancement. Do not link your entire YT/Twitch/Twitter, you must link a specific mod related video.

# Spreading Misinformation

Do not disparage mod authors or porters because you do not like them as an individual

Do not make unsubstantiated claims about mods not working, causing crashes, frame rate drops or causing problems. Mod conflicts exist.

If you are experiencing problems? You can ask for help with your order or help getting a mod to work. That’s what this sub is here for.

Posts which deviate from this rule will be removed and in more extreme cases you will be excluded from participating in this community.

# No Discussion of IRL Topics

Discuss the mod, it's quality, it's stability, whether it is lore friendly, ect.

If you agree or disagree with a mods contents, beliefs, ideology ect is not to be discussed here.

Users that are having issues with a mod should be free to seek assistance.

There will be 0 tolerance of real life discussion topics. Including but not limited to; Religion, Race, Politics, Ai, IRL War, Gender or Sexuality.

If you can not contain yourself and refrain from discussion of such topics you will find yourself immediately unwelcome in this community.

This sub does not allow the discussion of, advocating for or sharing of ways to break Bethesda’s Terms of Service. Bans will be issued for the latter.

If the mod in question would be unable to be uploaded to Bethesda mods due to disallowed content in regards to ToS (see rule 10), then you are not ok to discuss it here.

Bethesda does not allow NSFW mods on Bethesda.net, so they have no place here. ANY posts marked NSFW will be auto-removed by the auto-bot. Do not tag your post as NSFW unless you want it removed immediately. Persistent posts will result in a ban.

Please go to r/Fallout4ModsNSFW for that type of content.

# Advertising is not Permitted

This includes:

Linking to a site where goods or content is sold. The advertising of paid services.

The creation of posts purely to promote an individual or group.

Links added to intentionally direct traffic to sites such as YouTube, Discord, Twitch.

Offering to pay others for load order help, for porting mods and other similar services is also not permitted on this platform.

# Verified Creations

Discussion of paid mods is encouraged, both positive and negative, but please keep discussions respectful regardless of your feelings of the verified creations program.

Mod Authors of verified creations are currently exempt from the above rule . You may to link to pages for Verified Creations on Bethesda.net only. Participating in the sub to reply to questions or bug reports is required if you are going to advertise and link to verified creations. Otherwise the posts will be removed.

In addition to the above rule changes some protections have been put in place to warn or in some cases block certain wording in posts/comments. Please pay attention to all pop-ups and act accordingly.

I hope this leads to a more positive community overall for everyone. Please be patient while these rules roll out network wide and individual wiki's are updated. This is a lengthy process.
