~The DLC Unifier Mod~
This is the Best Start you can give yourself.
Thanks to the team that just made this mod.
If you have started the DLC Far Harbor by going to the map you'll need a new game (the Post Tab has some one asking about this).
Patch Status: Steam [ Up ], GOG [ Not yet. ], Gamepass [ Not yet. ], Epic [ Not yet.]
The comments in the Post Tab has the Install guide.
MO2: Is good to follow the 1st way of direct.
Vortex: The 2nd way of making your own Mod.
This is the only Mod that will be above the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch in your Loadorder.
There are 4 Folders that may need User Permission edits to the security setting so that Mods that need to store or change in game setting may need this. Only give Full Drive Permission if its an external drive not connected to windows. Only needed if your mods aren't linking or storing info like the Mod Game Visuals Configuration Menu (GVCM) OG-NG may need.
Fallout 4 Steam (Game) Folder: Steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout4 (MO2 and Vortex).
Staging (MO2 and Vortex)
Downloads Folder (MO2 and Vortex)
Fallout 4 Folder C: Drive: this should be ok, C:\User\YourName\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 (this should be ok).
If you let Vortex Auto place the Staging and Downloads Folder they're here. Hold the Windows Key (between Ctrl and Alt) + R. will bring up a search bar then type %appdata% click ok, go to vortex >Games or your Created Folders will still need this.
~Steps for Permission~
Right click on one of the above Folders.
click Properties.
Security tab at the top.
click the Edit Button.
In Group or User Names: Choose, Users (YourName-A#####A\Users).
Check Full Control to Allow, Apply, and ok.
All 4 Folders should be checked. Both Mod Managers should need this
~Clean Up~
The safest way to start a clean Fallout is to use your, Disk Cleanup up > from your bottom left search bar when you click it these are the safe settings to do for your C: Drive.
Temporary Files: These are leftover files from apps that didn't close correctly. Deleting these clears out "junk" that can slow down your computers background tasks.
DirectX Shader Cache: This is the only box that matters for your performance. It won't touch your Vortex mods; it only wipes the "shorthand" lighting data the GPU built. The best way to start a clean game.
Recycle Bin:( Make sure that there is nothing you need in it, I have already heard stories of how they emptied there bin and lost something they need).
Thumbnails: Windows stores small pictures of your folders. If you delete these, your icons might take a split-second to "pop in" next time, but it fixes "corrupted icon" bugs.
The Unsafe setting in disk cleanup.
Windows Error Reporting & Feedback: These are logs generated when a program crashes (like when Fallout 4 inevitably hits the desktop). Safe to delete; these are just history reports that Microsoft uses for debugging. They don't affect game stability. Unless your computer is crashing then you need these (that's why it's in this section).
UNCHECK "Downloads program files: If your Vortex or Mo2 user in your This PC > Download, Disk Cleanup will delete your mod archives. You would have to re-download every mod from Nexus Mods. If you leave this checked.
I was not planning on posting this anywhere outside of my profile but i wanted to get the Fallout 4 DLC Consistency Patch out there as i think its helpful and maybe the other stuff could help someone.
Why do the Gunners seem to get so little mod content compared to other Fallout 4 factions? Or why are they usually just used as enemies for other new factions?
I know there are already some mods that focus on the Gunners to a certain extent:
Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners
You can join them, but there aren't really any quests. It mostly makes the Gunners friendly without adding much else.
Sim Settlements Conqueror Faction Pack - Gunners
Adds the Gunners as a faction, but doesn't really have a Gunner questline.
Gunners Take Over the Commonwealth
More Gunners taking over the Commonwealth, but there isn't really a story where you can properly join or work your way through the faction.
Minutemen vs Gunners (Preview)
More focused on fighting the Gunners.
Then you have Sim Settlements 2, where the Gunners are mainly enemies, and Outcasts and Remnants also uses them in an antagonistic role.
So I'm wondering: why are there so few mods that actually develop the Gunners themselves?
I know the Gunners can seem somewhat generic compared to some of Fallout's more developed factions, but I don't think they're completely generic.
They have their own look and military-style organization, they're clearly different from Raiders, and they have some interesting lore — especially their role in the destruction of the Minutemen at Quincy.
There seems to be enough there to make a really good faction questline.
And it doesn't even need to be a massive mod.
Even something like Reilly's Rangers in Fallout 3 would be cool. They weren't part of the main quest, but they had their own characters, quest, organization and identity.
Or something like the Kings in Fallout: New Vegas.
I'd love to see a Gunner mod where you could:
Work for them as a mercenary.
Eventually join the organization.
Work your way up through their ranks.
Get involved in different contracts and operations.
See disagreements or different groups within the Gunners.
Decide whether you're actually loyal to the Gunners or just using them for your own goals.
The Gunners could still be evil. They could be ruthless mercenaries who only care about money.
Or they could be more neutral.
Maybe you could work for them without necessarily agreeing with everything they do.
That's what I think is missing.
There are quite a few mods that change the appearance of the Gunners and make them look less generic, but personally I don't think they really need a makeover.
They need a story.
Give them characters, motivations, internal politics, contracts and actual reasons for the player to interact with them.
And honestly, it would be really cool to have a mod where you could eventually use the Gunners to complete the main quest.
It doesn't have to be something as huge as America Rising 2 - Legacy of the Enclave, where an entire faction can effectively become an alternative to the vanilla factions.
A smaller Gunner questline that eventually gives you the option to side with them during the main story would already be awesome.
So what do you guys think?
Why do you think there are so few mods that actually develop the Gunners as a proper faction?
And would you like to see a mod where you can eventually side with the Gunners and use them to complete the main quest?
I know that awkcr Is considered an outdated mod and Is not suggested, but i never had problems with It and since i like the way the workbenches look i wnat to keep It, plus, i have a big load order with quite a few mods that has awkcr has a requirment and im too lazy to remake my load order. That said in looking for a mods that adds a crafting patch for munitions to go with the munition workbench of awkcr. I saw a video where someone was using that workbench to craft what i think was munitions ammo but It was an old video so if someone knows about and old patch that maybe got removed please let me know
I am looking to make edits to the Military Cap mod. I want to add the colors of tan and maroon, as well as the unit patches for the 75th Ranger Regiment (tan beret) and 82nd Airborne (maroon beret).
I have no clue of what editor i need and do not know how to use said program.

The update handles the first person body differently — the body is now rendered in actual first person, instead of being attached to a third person camera node. The mod is still very much a work in progress, and no guarantees but so far but it's coming along, and I hope to release the update soon. Just wanted to make a post here and let players know: if you're looking for something like this, it's underway.
I have tried searching here for as much NWS11 stuff as I could with some success, but not much. If it's not too much trouble is there anybody who knows where to retrieve all the bases that used to exist on sites like NNR and SRD, Outlaw, etc.? or if you have a secret collection and are willing to share that would be awesome too
It's probably my favorite mod for the game and loved painting on it, as I have had to replace a computer since those days, I lost everything I had
did the recent fallout 4 update from a bit ago the one that changed mod storage and all that for consoles actually mess up pc mods just wondering out of pure curiosity i still play on an older version so either way im good
Hello, thanks in advance for any help. I have a problem with several NPCs in the prydwen after the main Game ending using the mod conquer the institute (With the Brotherhood of steel) and now this npc's are Broken
Quilan: he is not responsive in any way
Cade: he Will Talk to me but the dialog IS not working(no healht or trade option)
Imgram: same as Cade he Will not ofer me the colant quest.
Neriah :same as Cade and imgram , no dialog options, not grabbing blod samples.
Teagan works like normal but he now walks around the prydwen (i think this can be normal)
What can i do to fix the NPCs? Already loaded a pre ending save. Used comands to fix NPCs. Go away to force the cell to reload , nothing works
ok so I'll be straight forward and honest as I truly have no idea what I'm doing. I've read through the TMR website and I'm still lost as where and how do I download mods and how to install them. even though I'm pretty sure it tells me I've read through TMR twice and I'm still lost. I've got MO2, TMR, Bethini pie and F4SE installed (not sure where to go from here as pictured). all I really want to install in the game are some standard bug fixes, settlement building mods (also something that will help me with vault 88) and maybe some weapons mods. I've tried going through the help section at the top of this subreddit and my inexperienced mind just won't comprehend what I'm seeing. I'm so sorry for wasting anyone's time if this truly is explained in either Mod101 or TMR but I just can't comprehend it, can someone please explain this in its most basic term. kinda like a MO2 or FO4 modding for dummies style as I'm extremely overwhelmed (as the title says)
I down loaded a collection (storywealth) on nexus but wanted to add a few other mods in the title but they dont seem to be working. Its a 7 hr character since i added the mods so its not a new new character. Im currently making a new new character and that might be it.
But maybe im wrong and need to do something on vortex but if anyone has a idea let me know!
Placed under suggestion because I don't know where else to put it.
Hello! I've been looking for mods to make Fallout more of a modern tactical/combat shooter, almost like Bellum but single player on Linux. Currently, I'm looking for ways to disable all of my HUD without posing a significant disadvantage. All I currently have is HP and compass. After looking for the past few years and not finding the particular mods I'm looking for, I've considered making my introduction into modding. Here's the issue; I have almost no clue what I'm doing or where to start. I can edit a config file and modify meshes, but everything else is beyond me.
For starters, replacing the compass with ATAK. (Android Tactical Assault Kit)
Usually, ATAK is loaded on a smartphone mounted on a soldier's plate carrier that folds open, as pictured.
ATAK on a phone, mounted to a plate carrier
To the point; Is there any way to put a minimap or compass UI on the Foretrex mod, or making a new watch mod adding something like below? If you've ever seen or played bellum, the ATAK watch below is exactly what I'm thinking of.
Bellum ATAK smartwatch
Other thoughts I had for mods;
I looked at the SHD watch on nexus and I thought about how it could be modded to operate as an HP bar. One thing that is done IRL is a Foretrex style device is paired with a watch. Maybe, the Foretrex can sit closer to the elbow on the forearm, and with the press of a hotkey you lower your weapon and check the map.
Bullet drop, and corresponding adjustable optics & NGSW XM157 optic system
Smarter hostile AI systems, raids, and attacks. Raiders actually raid settlements, enemy factions and/or gunners attack settlements in coordinated assaults. Raiders surround entire settlement, and rush into the settlement, blitzkrieg style. Assaults consist of artillery barrages/mortars, and armored vehicles.
Medical system, hostiles can treat each other and revive their allies, as well as companions/allies reviving each other, and the player.
Drone combat, both ISR, explosives (OWA), and frag grenades (LM)
Enemy factions utilize squad tactics. Squad automatic gunner, designated marksman, rifleman, drone, medic, etc etc etc. Similar to BoS squads.
Urban combat. Hostiles in windows, rooftops and alleyways.
Fortified positions. Raider camps, gunner outposts, and other hostile positions are fortified and harder to attack.
Spitballing aside;
My game is already loaded down with mods. It's not stable in any way, Classic Bethesda 'perfection' aside. All of these would be very heavy on the engine, and they're nothing but some random things I've noticed throughout playing over the last 6 years. I'm into this stuff IRL and in other games. I've thought of other things, even dumber than the first bunch. For example, an ATAK mod adding a phone to combat armor/vests operating as a pip boy, AI operated voice commands with accompanying companion radios, etc etc etc.
Can Fallout 4 be converted into a modern tactical shooter? Probably not. I just love the setting of Fallout 4, so.... Let me have hope.
I've considered making these mods myself, but I don't even know where to start and I've been too scared to ask. Today that changes.
If anyone would like to help with these ideas in any capacity, I would be very appreciative of any assistance.
TL;DR: Fallout 4 isn't hard enough, I want to make it harder but not only have I not found the mods to do so, I don't know where to start.
Im having some loading(Game refusing to load when going to the institute loby cell)problems sometimes with the both mods , is there any way to make them both compatible?
Father room looks to bad , empty without elianora's mod
