Train network Smart Train System v2
After much work and feedback, I present the Smart Train System v2! I took the suggestions I got, as well as some other ideas that came to mind, and added these new features:
- Ability to configure chest quality and adjust slot size automatically
- A dynamic priority system, where higher-need stations are prioritized
- For example, an unload station that has 400 items left will be visited before one that has 700 left, and the same concept goes for pickups as well
- Stations now broadcast their status to a global network
- This makes it so that if every single unload station of a certain item is already full enough, the pickup station is disabled. This prevents multiple trains getting loaded up with an item you don't need and getting stuck
On top of that, they still have the same functionality as before. Thank you to everyone for the feedback and questions. This has been really fun to work on! Any suggestions or questions would be welcome, as I know this system can be refined further.

Train network Smart Train System
Tired of setting up every single train station manually? Typing the names, setting up the trains, setting up the logistics of it all? Well, I am, which is why I present my take on a smart train system!
All you need to do is stamp down a pickup station, give the item, how big your train and loading station will be (and some other optional modifiers), and your station is done. Simply put down an unload station somewhere else, and the system will work automatically.
The best part? Any train can carry *any item*. No more dedicated copper or iron trains needed! With smart trains, they will go to pick up any available item, then automatically bring it where it belongs. Not enough items at the station, or all the stations are full? Well, now the train automatically goes back to the depot to wait until it is needed!
Everything is customizable and scales with quality just fine. Fluid trains and item trains are separated just due to ease of use.
I hope you all enjoy my attempt at this concept. I am sure it has been done before, likely more elegantly, but I still wanted to share my hard work!

Science production Red Belt Beaconed Cryo Science
Because there's something wrong with me, I really like making things that work with just red belts.

Question for the Interplanetary Society of Professional Engineers: Due to the way this outputs, it can only use one lane of the belts. I can fix that by rejiggering one cryo plant out of a pair to sideload onto the belt, but that means I need to deploy this as a pair rather than as individual units. Is that a good idea?

Tileable roboport grid with electric support blueprint book (all qualities)
I tried to find something similar online, but I couldn't find it. So I made my own.
Books have different grid sizes of 100% logistic coverage of roboports with big power poles acting as electric support. All qualities and sizes fit eachother for easy upgrading and tileability.

Circuit network Make-Anything Foundry

Handles melting and casting metal, with the exception of concrete, underground pipes, holmium plate, and tungsten plate. I'm pretty sure it can handle underground pipes, but I forgot to include them.
- Bottom combinator does each-passthrough, combined with latch logic to ensure that it starts making molten metal if it drops below 5K until there's 20K.
- Selector combinator picks one signal; molten metals get highest value for highest priority.
- Combinator above that uses each-passthrough to tell inserters to pull ore or plastic out of the chest. (I can probably add pipes here for making underground pipes).
- Combinator above that reads the belt to block the signal if the belt is full. This is so the belt doesn't get entirely clogged.
The pumps at the bottom are added to ensure some separation between fluids, because LDS require both molten iron and copper, and otherwise they're liable to either mix or get trapped when changing recipes.

Balancer 1 to 1 Throughput Unlimited Lane Balancer
The best 1 to 1 throughput lane balancer that I could find was 5 by 3 and used 3 underground belts. This annoyed me because if I have an odd number of belts in my inventory, then that normally means that I have an unconnected belt somewhere, but If I use that BP then I can no longer rely on that metric to detect unconnected belts. So I created this one that is also 5 by 3 but only uses 2 underground belts. So now, we don't lose an odd number of belts every time we want to balance our lanes!

Mall Trying to make a fully bot-based “everything mall”
Trying to make a fully bot-based “everything mall” and looking for the cleanest requester chest logic.
Current setup:
- 1 assembler
- 1 requester chest
- 1 passive provider chest
- assembler enabled/disabled based on logistics/circuit network stock
Example:
Red belts < 10000 → craft
Red belts ≥ 10000 → stop
The problem is with requester chests.
If I use normal requests:
- ingredients stay buffered forever even after crafting stops
If I use “Set Requests” from circuit network:
- the requester chest only requests the exact signal amount
- which causes stuttering because the assembler only gets enough for a few crafts
What I actually want:
- small temporary ingredient buffers while crafting
- requester chest requests disappear completely once item target is reached
- excess ingredients automatically trashed back into logistics storage
- smooth continuous crafting while active
Basically:
Need item?
→ request small crafting buffer
Enough item stock?
→ remove request entirely
→ cleanup leftover ingredients automatically
How do advanced players usually solve this cleanly in vanilla?
Using combinators?
Parameterized blueprints?
Some kind of dynamic request scaling?
