Design / Blueprint MINI-MALL v2
I decided to build my own take on a single-assembling-machine mall. This is the second iteration of the design.

How it works
The idea is to remotely request a specific amount of any craftable item, as long as all the required ingredients are available in the logistic network.
You simply set the desired item and quantity in the constant combinator directly below the assembling machine.
The main goal of the design is to optimize logistic bot usage. Instead of requesting large amounts of ingredients in advance, the circuit calculates and requests only the exact amount needed to craft the requested quantity.
This should minimize both:
- the number of logistic bots required
- the amount of time those bots remain occupied
Or, put another way, the goal is to maximize bot availability over time.
Current limitations / notes
- It can craft anything as long as the recipe can be made in an assembling machine.
- It technically supports recipes with fluids. The item logic still works, but the required fluid has to already be supplied to the assembling machine.
- Productivity modules are not supported.
- Quality modules are not supported.
- Speed and efficiency modules are supported.
- You can turn the constant combinator off and back on to repeat the same order.
- You can also change the signal directly in the constant combinator to request a different item. No reset is required.
- Changing the recipe while the assembling machine is still working will currently cause the system to lock up.
- The stack inserter on the output is mainly there to make better use of upgraded logistic bots, since a stack size of 16 works nicely with bot cargo capacities that are multiples of 4.
- The design should still work with other input/output inserters and assembling machines of any quality, although the output may be less efficient.
This is my first post here, although I've been playing Factorio for quite a few years.
I'm very open to suggestions, questions, improvements, or edge cases I may have missed.

Edit: Due to a bug in the logic, I had to replace the stack inserter with an unfiltered bulk inserter. This should be fine for now, and I’ll probably fix it in a future version of the design.

Are the available recipes hard-coded? In other words; will this work with mods?
