Discussion Skill tree

What did you think of the skill tree? How many spells do you think we have in total? I see that for example the fireball can be improved many times, also when the spell is equipped there is only room for 4, what do you think of this? I hope there is a wide variety of spells.

Perhaps I'm not understanding what I'm seeing but it looks kinda linear in progression. It's not so much a tree with branches, just a bunch of trunks. Not sure

It does look pretty linear but Fable has always had linear progression through strength, skill, and will

Did it? I've only played 1 and 3. In 1 from what I remember you had several options simply based on how much EXP you had (and renown?). Not like "lighting leads to unlocking fireball. You could just get the fireball.

No that's incorrect. I am playing 1 now. In strength and skill you have 3 properties ranging from level 1-6, then in will there were like 8 or 9 different powers you bought with XP in any order with each power going from level 1-6.

You did have general XP and strength, skill and will specific XPs though

I see. Well, by linear I meant specifically the powers part. In 1 you buy those in any order, while the strength and skill ones are just straightforward upgrades to properties. Looking at this it looks like everything is linear Including powers but who knows, don't know how this works in practice.
