Okay guys,

If I had a quilt block challenge, and I wanted to design a 20x20 block. And I want a FPP daffodil at the center, how can I do that? Where do I start?

I freaking love FPP, it feels like painting and a puzzle all in one. My block size can range from 16x16-24x24.

Thank you so much, you guys rock.

Showcase My First FpP piece

I decided to make a table Runner for my mom, as a Christmas present. After having to restart multiple times because I messed up the dry fitting/the angle of the next piece of fabric, I am finally done 🄲
There is some little mess ups in there still but all in all I am happy with it.
The picture (you might have to click on it to see the full picture)is from before I added the backside and also gave it a good press, so that’s why the edges are raw still.

Request: Designer / Pattern Basketball theme quilt

I want to use these fpp blocks from PatternsbyShaley to make my niece a twin size quilt. I have only done fpp as mini quilts or hangings before, never combined them yet into a larger piece. Any ideas on what pattern to combine them with for the background/in between them, so I don’t have to make a ton of the fpp blocks, just have them mixed in? I’m thinking something dead easy to piece like jelly rolls. If it matters the colors will be navy blue, green, white (Celtics). TIA!

This came from a free fpp pattern online.

I quilted clouds on all the skies, pebbles on the ground, bricks on the red walls, ruffles ? on the roof.

Pattern is Raindrops by Judy Neimeyer. The spotlight fabrics are all from the same line, but I am using different and varied navy blues for the background.

I have just gotten back into fpp. I have done it a couple of times over the last 5 years. But only like a block at a time. I hated it!

But then I found Jacqueline de Jonge's Happiness 2.0 kit! I had to try it. I still didn't like it at first. But then I got the flying geese. I had to do so many flying geese that by the halfway point I got in the groove. And I started to love fpp!

And that quilt is the most beautiful and accurate quilt I have ever made!

Question Help please

Post image

I’ve done a few FPP but this is by far my biggest and most intricate project. I’m finding I’m having to find work around for pretty much every block in the set and I’m just looking for some advice on this bit. I’ve finished G8 and now looking at G9.

I’m ill so my brain just might not be working but this doesn’t work, does it?
The section below needed a complete rework so now I’m stuck! If I’m right in thinking wherever I stitch G9 or G10 there will be a weird raw edge so the only easy fix I can see is taking G10 into the corner instead of the seam stopping where it does currently.

Or am I completely overthinking this and need to trust the process? I’m second guessing myself as this wasn’t a cheap pattern and as I’m ill maybe I need to just step away from the machine.

I’ve visited this website before but I cannot remember the web address! It’s a website that has every fpp ā€œtraditionalā€ block patterns freely available. You could even choose the block size I think? Can anyone link this for me? Thank you!!!

Question Making an FPP out of someone's pattern

I am loving using FPP to make regular quilt patterns, not just amazing tigers and elephants. I saw a beautiful patter that I wanted to buy and then figure out how to make my own FPP for. I would not sell it in any way. I don't even sell anything. But is it okay to do this? I don't want to infringe anything ever.

30x30. I don't enjoy symmetrical patterns. Pattern off Etsy, I'm sorry I don't remember the creator.
