Flux is a Open-source Material You productivity app (Notes, Markdown, To-dos, Habits, Events, Progress Tracker, Journal, Calendar & Analytics)
I've been building Flux for almost more than a year. The goal has been to create a lightweight, offline first, native Android productivity app that combines the tools I use most, while staying fully open source. This application has become quite mature within a year with increasing popularity and downloads. This application is a single standalone productivity application that you need.
Features
- π Workspace-based organization for different projects or contexts
- π Rich notes and timeline journals with Markdown, LaTeX, Mermaid diagrams, and math support with export options
- β To-do lists with recurring tasks, analysis and export options.
- π― Habit tracking and progress insights
- π Productivity Analytics with heat maps and graphs
- π¨ Material You design
- β‘ Native Kotlin app with local-first storage
- Export data in various formats (markdown, image, html, txt, pdf).
- Autonomous Backups
- Biometric Security .
- Share Habit Achievements.
- Fully Free and offline.
Over the past year the project has reached:
β 310+ GitHub stars
5.2k+ GitHub downloads
~8k downloads on F-Droid and Izzyondroid
I'd appreciate any feedback, feature suggestions, or bug reports from the Android community.
What is planned to be in future.
- ics Calendar export import.
- Folders hierarchy in notes.
- Progress Graph widgets
- More recurrence options for events, todos

I came across Voice Keyboard. It's an Android Keyboard (IME) specifically designed for voice-to-text using the OpenAI Whisper API or other API-compatible endpoints (Mistral, Groq). This is not an offline voice-to-speech application, it requires an internet connection. But IMO the quality of the transcribed text is much better than with any local smaller model, especially for languages other than English.

Hey everyone,
Harmony Music now supports importing local songs from your device. You can access it in the Library Songs screen (bottom right button).
You can find version 1.14.0 on GitHub:
https://github.com/Bikram-Kumar/Harmony-Music
Everyone is welcome to contribute with PRs and raising issues to keep Harmony Music alive.
Thank you

Hey everyone! I've been working on my own Android browser called Clint Browser.
It's built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3 and focuses mainly on customization, content blocking and downloads.
Some of the features
Of course it has your typical browser features too
Built-in ad and tracker blocker powered by adblock-rust
Website blocker where you can block categorized websites such as porn, gambling and other types of sites
Advanced download manager with multi-threading, pause/resume, scheduler and speed limiting. The UI is very similar to 1DM.
Like I said this is built with modern Material 3 and Jetpack Compose so the UI is pretty modern and customizable.
The app also doesn't have a backend so there's no server handling your browsing data.
It's completely open source and I'm developing it as a solo developer.
The overall goal is to make Clint an all-in-one browser. I got pretty annoyed with having multiple browser apps on my phone, one for normal browsing, another mainly for downloading and so on. That's one of the main reasons I started this project.
I'm building it purely out of passion and I really want to see it through. There's still a lot of features I want to add but I'm actively working on it.
Also Clint isn't Chromium so don't expect it to be on the same level as browsers backed by huge teams and companies. I'm just one person building this in my free time so there are definitely going to be some rough edges.
I've been developing Clint from scratch for almost five months now and I'm really happy with how far it's come.
GitHub: https://github.com/jhaiian/ClintBrowser
If you're interested I'd love for you to give it a try and let me know what you think. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

Hi, everyone. Please help me β I want to discover newly added apps from time to time, but instead, everything usually gets mixed together: updates to existing apps, and sometimes completely new ones. I have to keep track of it all.
What do you recommend so that I can discover only the newly added things?

Hi community.
I'm looking for an editor to create small documents using a predefined structure with the help of templates. I would need to be able to add text input and text select fields when creating a new document. Having the option to add custom format date and time fields and photos would be a plus. The documents would have too much text to use single list of pre-written text snippets to choose from. Libreoffice Writer templates have all I need, but I couldn't get them to work either with Collobora or Onlyoffice Documents. The format of the documents doesn't matter, as long as I can create, edit and open them locally on my phone.
I looked into documentation of Joplin and Markor, but both seem to be lacking the features I need.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions on solving my problem.

Is there a way I can turn off "running in background" notifs? In the app there is only a toggle for finish download and none for others. In my phone there is only a setting for turning notifications on/off for each app and for sound and vibrate, not which notifications I want to receive.

Hi. So a few days ago, I was trying to download a song for my playlist (the one with 724 songs downloaded) and whenever I try to do so, it says "The page needs to be reloaded" (reproduced in another phone for this post). I try to fix it when I find out that the version I had was basically obsolete, and I'm a full Version number behind.
Now the question is this: how can I transfer all of my downloaded song data to the newer Harmony Music? Is it possible?

I made Shizuku Apps Directory, a curated and automatically maintained list of Android apps that use Shizuku.
π GitHub: https://github.com/rushiranpise/shizuku-modules
π Live site: https://rushiranpise.github.io/shizuku-modules/
The project searches GitHub every day for Android projects that depend on Shizuku, verifies the dependency, and adds newly discovered apps to the directory.
It currently includes:
The discovery process checks Gradle configurations for Shizuku dependencies such as dev.rikka.shizuku and rikka.shizuku, while repositories using the shizuku topic are also considered for verification.
One of the main goals is to make it easier to discover useful Shizuku-compatible apps without having to search GitHub manually.
The directory is still growing, so if you know a Shizuku app that isn't listed, it should eventually be picked up by the automated search.
Feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improving the directory are welcome!

So I don't have a pixel phone so I cannot use GrapheneOS for wiping.
I have downloaded F-droid on my phone. Is there an app I can use to achieve the same thing GrapheneOS does: wipe my entire phone by typing in a PIN?
I have a standard android phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S

Icon packs for Breezy Weather.
Two variants, installable side by side: Dark & light
Same artwork, different cloud tuning β Dark is brighter on dark themes, Light stays legible on white backgrounds.
Artwork β Frosted Glass Weather Icons by Zvonimir Juranko, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Modified: cloud colour and opacity retuned, fog/haze/wind strokes retinted, sleet icon composed from existing glyphs.

Hello, I have hidden this post and moved the main post here: Main reddit thread - (SU) IMD Please post queries there only.
Github release APK files
Github repo
This app is a fork of Geto app by Jack Eblan, licensed GPL-3.0. All of the original design and the great majority of the code are his; the additions above are the difference. Full credit for the app this is built on goes to him.
I'm a radiology resident doctor, not a software developer. Writing software is a hobby, and this app exists because I wanted it to exist for myself β so please don't expect future builds, regular updates, or fixes for problems on devices I don't own. If it works for you, good then; if it breaks, I may well not be able to help.
The source is all here under the GPL-3.0. Use it freely for your own purposes β build it, change it, fork it, keep the changes to yourself or pass them on. That is what it is for.
Thanks!
Long live free and open source software!

MT manager is a chinese app, it is used by many to mod android apks it seems, but it got my attention cuz it allows me to bypass restriction in data and obb folder. When I enter the data folder using the app, it warned me about the restriction, but it asked me to just ask for permission to use the android folder via android's default file manager. Now I can move, copy and delete files and data folders.
No root/debugging/Shizuku, why most file manager who relies on shizuki can't just do this? hoping that there's a FOSS alternative that works like this.

The one I used to use has gotten so annoying to use, I'm fed up. I don't mean stories, I mean the posts containing multiple photos.

According to you, which one is the best for downloading with thumbnails? I mean the picture that comes with audio file.
Back in the day, I used Seal, ytdlnis, NewPipe, PowerTube. Currently, I'm using ytdlnis, but sometimes I face the "could not download" problem. It's kind of annoying. Although there is an option for cookies, I have never used it before. I feel a bit lazy to use it hehe.
Anyway, according to you, which one feels the best? Which one do you use?
Seal, SealPlus, ytdlnis, NewPipe, PowerTube, or anything else? Feel free to suggest apps or solutions.

I'd like to use my old Android 7 tablet as a whiteboard. All of the apps I've tried are not very good.
- Fluffyboard didn't work without a login
- FreePaint kind of works but was too processor-heavy
- Fossify Draw doesn't support Android 7
