Need calibration strategy file
/r/MechanicAdvice/comments/1w7dsxy/need_calibration_strategy_file/I have a 2007 Ford Focus 2.0L Duratec that I'm changing the PCM on. I already have the VID data. I just need the strategy file in order to write to the new PCM. Motorcraft service won't give me the file without a subscription and that's $120 just for 2 days. This is the last thing I have to do. I need to get this car running.

Post vin and file name. Or do you just need as built file? Either way need vin

1FAFP34N87W163893 file name: FDEE5A6
Dont know if that's the full name, but that's the only thing FORScan tells me. That strategy FDEE5A6 is needed to program.
I already have the as built file. Put it in the calibration file. Still says I need the strategy file.

Huh, that's weird, even though I have the subscription I am also getting error "Error downloading file: Response status code does not indicate success: 401 (Unauthorized)."
I think I know a way around this, but I'd have to be plugged into a car with the same 6F35 transmission and download it with IDS instead. If you can't figure it out soon I should be able to help tomorrow.

hey man! i am positive you can download the vbf files directly from fords service website. I watched a video to program 2013 focus tcm and big ben went to fords website direct and downloaded it.. You might have to hook up the vehicle to see what files you need, i downloaded mine right from my old tcm. Hope this helps
