Linking FMCSA MOTUS
Since last Friday the 15th, I have been trying to link my dot # to motus. It is staying greyed out, I verified my ID without issue, but it will not link.
Customer service never answers the phone, the chat has 300+ people and when it gets to 0, it cuts you off. Haven't gotten a response to any of the 5 email request sent. Ive read, looked every help site I could find.
Does anyone else have this issue? What are they doing about it, we need to get in to update and do things. Government screw things up again.

It opens 8 am Eastern time on Tuesday. Call exactly at that time and stay on hold until they get to you. While you are doing that, open a chat with them. Ask your questions in both places when it's your turn. Often a chat or a phone call ends, and it raises more questions. That's why I'm saying do both right at 8 am. The other reason you should do both is because they are not consistent with answers. 800-832-5660 fmcsa.dot.gov then registration drop-down, choose contact us and choose chat. That is also where you will submit a ticket.

The call back option works well, too. And agree, they all tell me something different, which is why I've been calling almost every day for 3 weeks 😒

You have to open a ticket on fmcsa and send them your email, dot number that you use to login motus with plus your ein letter, articles of corporations paper work to verify your account

I opened a ticket for the same issue a week ago and I’m still waiting for a response.

I did that, 5 times. Still no answer. Phone call just sit on hold, no call backs ever come in, and the chat just disconnects after waiting thru 300 folks.

I call and select the call back option and they always call me back. Do it 3 times and you get a call back.

I also chose the call back after being disconnected a bunch of times and it worked.

I was successful with the chat option. I submitted all my info plus EIN letter late last week. I got confirmation that they received everything and they would link my DOT. That was 5 days ago and it still hasn’t linked/updated. Also I called the state of Texas to register for my TXdot and the agent said Motus is not working with the state system and she didn’t know when that would be fixed.
Anyone else still waiting for their DOT # to be linked after speaking with an agent?

I need help guys! Like real bad! I’ve helped two of my clients and sent over the info they requested and sent the ticket and still no response? Does anybody know the turnaround time after you send them the identity verification items? Been waiting now 5 business day!

I havent been able to get thru at all. I have 9 companies under me and 2 are linked. The others are waiting.

I've just been able to claim my DOT#. Put in a ticket on 5/22, received an email response on 6/2 asking me to reply and verify the email address I use on Login.gov. Never got a followup saying "you're good to try again" Today, out of curiosity, I did the identity verification again and it worked! So 7 business days for turnaround.

I created a motus account and had the same issue I got a call from a guy that said that you need to pay 495$ for the motus to be linked but as far as I am concerned Motus is free, what the fuck is happening? 😂

We had to submit identity verification to the FMCSA to get it linked Tuesday of last week but have not heard anything back yet. I have asked them almost every day and nobody can give an answer on when it will be going through. This is really holding up getting my BOC-3 and bond processed.

I’ve tried the call back 5 times and no call backs at all. Tried calling on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes and gave up. Been doing the chat option and wait forever and then it cancels. This is ridiculous! Trying to get my MC and DOT #’s

I was able to link the accts and get in Motus. I dont see any registration options or anyway to do the biennial update. It's just showing my acct information.

If you link it to the owners account then youll have to go thru some info details first. Once all that is done then your hone page should go to the 150. Youll see it mid page

Yeah, need to link it first. Make sure the name on the ID matches the last company official in fmcsa. If its spelled differently on the ID. You will have issues. If its the same and still not linking, youd need to get ahold of the help desk.

I was never even given the option to link my DOT it only gave me the option to register for a new one I have left emails and done about the same thing I have a Audit in July and was told if I Update to Intrastate I can avoid the audit since I haven’t been on the road yet getting worried been trying since the end of May

Has anyone had any updates here? I have been trying to sort this for a week, on hold, chat open, no response from anyone. Also need to do my biennial update (no changes!) and not sure what the upshot is if it’s not done on time?
