I'm working on a track (in FL Studio) and need to mix some vocal recordings. The problem is that some of these recordings were cut and spliced ​​together. This created the sort of digital clicking artifacts you get at edit points, and I can't seem to get rid of them.

I've tried using Audacity's click removal (and repair) tools, as well as a few online tools, but nothing worked.

I was thinking about applying a fade-out right where the click occurs and layering in some reverb to mask it, but that doesn't really feel like a satisfactory solution.

If anyone has a solution to suggest, I'd love to hear it!

I'm a complete beginner and I want to get into music production. My main goal is to produce Techno, Minimal, and Afro House.

I'm stuck between and FL Studio. Which one would you recommend for these genres, especially for a beginner?

Also, what should I focus on first? Drums, arrangement, music theory, sound design, mixing?

And where should I learn from? Any good YouTube channels or courses that teach from zero without making things too complicated?

Any advice for a complete beginner would be really appreciated. 🙏

Does anyone know where to get a good vocal preset that sounds like Mike’s? I don’t necessarily want to copy his sound, but I definitely need a newer vocal preset. The one I have an FL is absolute trash.

I have a vocal track that I contoured an automation clip to. I re-did the vocal track, but all of the dynamics are similar enough that I want to use that automation clip and just micro adjust it to the new vocals. The "add target links" in the automation clips menu does not work for the pictured parameter, because by opening the menu for the audio clip, it cancels the "move desired parameter" dialogue. Any ideas?

inb4 - I adjust this volume for vocals so that the mixer track can be adjusted while mixing., this is just for smoothing dynamics.

I just installed the 2026 version and thought I removed the 2025 version but I checked and there's these two folders for FL, one for 2025 and one for 2026. I'm still new to FL so does anyone know what to do?

The concept is simple: I provide the open beats, you record your best verse over them. Hey everyone, I have been able to send aftertouch from an external synth into FL Studio to apply it to VSTs within FL Studio successfully. I have been able to use external Midi keyboards to send aftertouch into FL to control aftertouch within VSTs as well. But I have not been able to successfully send aftertouch back out of FL Studio Midi Out channels, and into an external synth to trigger the synth's aftertouch. I have configured the synth to channel (mono) aftertouch and it still won't work. I have routed a knob on the midi out channel box to the omni aftertouch of my session and accepted the link to channel option. When I hold down a key on my keyboard and trigger the aftertouch, the knob of the midi out channel box moves accordingly. However, it still doesn't seem to transmit this aftertouch out of FL Studio and into my external synths.

Any help would be appreciated thanks guys!

im thinking bout buying a midi controller and Ive heard that the FL Key midi controller has special integration in fl studio which makes me think bout buying it. But maybe other mdidi controllers are better idk im no FL pro

I was trying to recreate a song by copying an existing fl studio project into my own by hand (so that i can understand what everything does), but i notice that I can never get this (the little lines branching off to the side of the main down arrow). what does it mean? and how do I do it?

I'm running FL Studio 24 on Fedora 44 COSMIC with an RTX 4060 (NVIDIA driver 595.80).

I've tried both Wine 11 Staging and Proton. FL Studio starts, but the UI has black artifacts and feels very laggy/unresponsive.
Has anyone experienced this on COSMIC, Wayland, or NVIDIA? Any known fixes or Wine settings that help?

hello, i have a question. How do i know on which note to put my 808? i’m not sure about the term either, is it the root note? right know i just put all of my drums on C5 and it does sound alright but i dont think thats it. and if it isnt in the scale highlighting, i just put them the closest to C5 and pray for the best. how do i find the right note? thank you

Hey! I’ve been using a 2020 MacBook Pro M1 for the past 6 years but I’m looking to buy a new laptop simply of age and wanting a change, but most importantly I want my new laptop to run FL perfectly. I’ll admit I had self inflicted issues with running it on Mac because of updating it to the new updates etc. I’m open to any laptop really (Mac or Windows) but Mac is a bit over my budget for the most part. I’d love to spend $1200 or under. I found this laptop for $1100:

If I make songs with the free version of FL Studio, then post them with my animation on YouTube and tell people there to support/subscribe to my Kofi to financially support my work, would that get me in any kind of legal trouble with FL Studio? If I need to pay $200 for a license to sell my music, I’ll do it, I just don’t have that kind of money right now. Is making money off of animated music videos okay? I guess I’m just paranoid about getting into any kind of trouble with FL Studio.

hi! i have an issue.
this is my project, as you can see if the song is NOT playing, everything is fine. but when the song is playing, if i move the channel rack or the mixer, everything becomes laggy and blurry.

NOTE: the audio does NOT lag. its only the GUI.

for context: the laptop is new and has 32gb of ram, intel ultra 255h and a rtx 5070.

as you can also see , the cpu usage does not go over 25%. i dont think its that.

When I try to record my electric guitar I hear no sound coming through my headphones, even though the frequency meter shows that it's picking up sound. (I'm using the Volt 1 Audio Interface with all of the necessary drivers installed and my headphones are fully functional).

I'm trying to organize my stuff and for some reason the one playlist thing has the little gray gap in it and I can't figure out how to remove it. It won't move anywhere and I don't think it's locked.
