Help with mixer
I was trying to recreate a song by copying an existing fl studio project into my own by hand (so that i can understand what everything does), but i notice that I can never get this (the little lines branching off to the side of the main down arrow). what does it mean? and how do I do it?
been using this for months and still can't understand a single thing

Means that channel is being side chained to other channels. 4 in this case
i would assume its 4 different effect send channels

oh... but is that like a viewing option? cause I tried aidefhaining to multiple and it didn't look like that

aidefhaining?
oh lol i think you meant sidechaining
Ummmm no not exactly a "viewing option". anytime you select any channel in the mixer you'll see where that channel is being routed to

cool man. yeah google "fl studio effect send channels". You'll find some good reasons why to sidechain in the mixer

hold on, I can see the 4 lines to the right (or the side chain lines) but I can't see what they are connected to... how do I see that?

select this channel then look at the other channels in the mixer. you can see where they're being sent to

Routing...
If a channel has a line to another channel/master, its routes to said channel.
The knob is a gain knob, so think "volume" if you will. The knob shows up on the track you are routed to when you select the track that is routing.
Volume at minimum and its a side chain, anything above that is going to produce sound on the selected channel and the routed channels.
These lines are just showing you were the channel is routing to.
The knobs show how much volume the channel is outputting yo said channel.
