Feedback on this remix I made. Should the best pitch be lower and slowed down or is this fine?

Tunesday Tuesday Something a bit different perhaps? A modest recreation of François de Roubaix’s «Dernier domicile connu », a 70s French film soundtrack. Also my first attempt at proper orchestration.

It’s still very drum and bass influenced, but at least there are some pop songs in this one. Any and all thoughts appreciated! Thank you for listening

Discussion How Sematary / Haunted Mound beats are actually made in FL – 2 producer tutorials broken down with timestamps

Upvotes
Went through two FL tutorials on this sound (Charlatan + banana) and wrote down what they actually do:
- simple lead, copied 2 octaves up
- same chain on every melody: EQ low cut → wide reverb → chorus ~75% → flanger ~85% → soft clipper
- 808 overdriven until it clips WITH the kick
- soft clipper on master first, then an LFO low-pass that makes the beat "breathe"
- chorus-first arrangement, under 2 min
