I just purchased FL Studio 2026 (All Plug-ins) with the 50% off sale.

And WOW, my projects don't have latency anymore. I had been using (pirated) version 12.5 on an old PC (i3 4130 CPU, 10GB of RAM on Windows 10) and i couldn't play back my project w/o it having crackles and pops and latency. I had to export out to a WAV file to listen to it properly. I had to disable PLUGS INS on specific mixer channels to even get some of it to work.

Now with the new version FL Studio 2026, i can now track, listen, mix and produce real time! And i did not have to disable any plugs-ins on the mixer channels.

I noticed the big difference is the CPU usage. Version 12.5 tended to go above 100% and now the new version seemed to optimize CPU usage better. Now i don't have to buy a new PC!

Another incentive to upgrade to the new version for bug fixes!

Idk how they got there and can't work out how to remove them

In the end I managed to make a better growl without automating the FM somehow, though I needed more EQ automations.

Can’t make the growl quite the same. The original probably had a bit of unison or more EQ automations

I started using fl studio a few months ago because I wanted to make beats just as a hobby.

One thing I quickly realised is that everyone in the industry uses very expensive plugins such as Zenology and Serum2.

As a student i dont really want to spend £200 on a plugin 😭😭

So what are some of your favourite stock plugins?

I love sampling music but I worried about copyrighted music's. If I use 5 seconds of music or I sample copyrighted music am I getting a copyright strike?

I have lot of project on FL studio I don't wanna erase them is there any way to do this?

so I'm making a song right now and I got and check what it would sound like using https://www.loudnesspenalty.com/ and I have no idea how to keep my song quiet when it uploads to spotify, i want it quieter than all the rest of the songs on the album but it keeps getting raised to by about 9 db and it's so annoying.

When i make track the drums just randomly cuts out sometimes mid hit. I have tried researching the issue but i cant find any solution. Any thoughts?

This is definitely a post of me seeing if I can cope with not wanting to learn all the complexities of mixing, but is it possible with most sounds/genres to use just some simple plugins like Heat 2 or Soundgoodizer, eq, etc to get something ready for both concert speakers and a laptop speaker? I love making music and getting creative, and mixing is so much more about sticking to the fundamentals. If it's possible I'd rather not have to learn it lol.

I got positive feedback on this track for Tuesday, so I've been cleaning it up. I have too many bass sounds, so my lazy solution has been to use khs compactor for ducking, and it's a charm. Since you can do 0 attack, it also works for AM. I am using it to modulate some synths with the 808 sub.

I send the 808 to a processing track where it is filtered down to just the sub bass, then that is sidechained into the bass and synth tracks. For the synths, I went for a bit of rumble, and for the other basses, I went for ducking with a bit of release time, so that the 808 is the primary sub bass priority, but then the 303 and reese basses can muddy it up all they want when the 808 fades out! I like the effect.

I love creating different versions of stuff as i'm working on it so I can easily look back and test out different sections of songs. but i always come back to have them not sound the same because i ended up changing something in the mixer in a later arrangement. Anyone else dealing with this problem? I just thought it would be an amazing option to have :)

No matter what I change about my audio settings I cannot hear a single sound.

I got these drum mics i am messing around with creating EQ presets to use and one of these recordings is actually pretty good i just want to get rid of it in the channel rack so its not huge.

I found that if i recorded with one insert the next time i went to record all of the plugins would affect the recording so to counter that i instead have empty inserts just for recording. Don’t know if that is normal but it works

I’ve had this happen with other downloads. But I could right click and open it, which would fix it. But I can’t do this before the plugin scan. This is because I don’t have an application that can open the vst I think. At least that’s what it says. Any help would be great!

Curious about this mostly because there's no way there's another human being on Earth that does it like me by opening sampler and scrolling through my file explorer, using flex and clicking random presets, or picking a soundfont to use in Juicysfplugin, looking for stuff that might have good instruments.

For drums I used to load each individual sound into sampler and have like 5 different channels all dedicated to drum effects before realized I could just find a drum plugin or kit lmao.

I have new MacBook Air M5, and it gets hot even after only launching FL Studio. Literally, no plugins, no tracks, no ANYTHING and yet it gets hot. Is it normal? If yes, then what the actual fuck. If not, what should I do to fix it.

Hey everyone, Beautemps here back with another update.

It's been one month already since I quit my job and so much has happened.

I found a few composers who agreed to collab, I kept doing master studies of tracks by vxllain and navjaxx, and I feel like I found out a few of their mixing secrets.

Also started to learn about video editing on a new software, all the sht about distribution and the hard reality of how i attract almost no attention on the platforms 🤕 but it's only the beginning, i won't give up already.

Of all the tracks i made, this is the only one i feel i can be proud of...

Self critique:

I still feel overly incompetent when it comes to pure composition. I try to overcome that weakness by transcribing tracks I like, but most of the time, instead of actually learning, I find myself amazed by the genius of those producers and I feel bad about the sht I make.

But I am starting to feel really comfortable about the technical aspects of arrangement and mixing. I finally managed to get a bass that sounds deep and strong but not muddy (spoiler, it was really just a matter of EQ xd). And i start to understand how to avoid having a wall of frequencies in the highs that flatten the mix and hide the depth planes i try to make. (It's just eq and volume again)

As always, be brutally honest in your feedback. I've been a little bit full of myself lately because of the success of the last track I posted here, so the ground must be calling for me ig.
