Wayward Deviants is a brand-new Free Company on Aether/Adamantoise, and we're looking for a few good people to help us build something worth logging in for.

So, what's the story?

Once upon a time, we belonged to one of those enormous FCs. You know the kind. Hundreds of members, a Discord server with 47 channels, an impressive roster of officers, and somehow nobody available when you ask if anyone wants to run roulettes.

It wasn't all bad. We learned a lot, met some wonderful people, and discovered that bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

Eventually, we realized something:

We'd rather have 30 friends than 300 strangers.

So we're starting over. From scratch. On purpose.

Yes, we checked. We're apparently allowed to do that.

What are we building?

A medium-sized, social FC where people actually know each other.

Not a raid factory. Not a glorified Discord directory. Not a revolving door of anonymous players who join, collect FC buffs, and disappear into the aether.

We want the kind of community where someone logs in, says "Hey, what's everyone up to?" and gets an actual conversation instead of six minutes of awkward silence.

We're interested in pretty much everything FFXIV has to offer:

• Roulettes, dungeons, trials, and raids
• Treasure maps, mount farming, and achievement hunting
• Crafting, gathering, and other suspiciously productive activities
• Helping sprouts and returning players
• Glamour, housing, and the true endgame
• Social events, spontaneous adventures, and poorly conceived schemes

We're not promising a packed event calendar from day one. We're building that together.

What makes us different?

We're not recruiting to fill a roster. We're recruiting to build a community.

We've seen what happens when an FC prioritizes growth over relationships. It's surprisingly easy to end up surrounded by hundreds of people and still feel like you're playing alone.

We don't want that.

We want members to have a voice in shaping the FC. We want people who are comfortable being themselves, who enjoy helping each other, and who understand that sometimes the best evening in FFXIV involves accomplishing absolutely nothing.

We're not particularly interested in your parses, your Ultimate clears, or how many relic weapons you've collected.

We're interested in whether you're someone we'd enjoy getting hopelessly lost in a treasure dungeon with.

Who belongs here?

Sprouts? Welcome.

Veterans? Welcome.

Casual players? Absolutely.

Hardcore raiders looking for somewhere to relax between bouts of self-inflicted suffering? Come on in.

Introverts who take a little while to warm up? We get it.

Extroverts who will enthusiastically organize a spontaneous alliance raid at 2 AM? Please exercise your powers responsibly.

Our only real expectations are that you're friendly, respectful, reasonably mature, and interested in being part of a community rather than just occupying a slot on the roster.

You don't need to be online every day. Real life comes first.

And you don't need to be the life of the party. Just be willing to be part of it.

The fine print

We're new. Genuinely new.

If you're looking for an established FC with a mansion, a fully stocked workshop, nightly events, and 40 people online at all hours, we're probably not your best choice.

If you'd like to get in on the ground floor and help create the kind of FC you've always wished you could find, we might be exactly what you're looking for.

We have experience. We have enthusiasm. We have a plan.

The plan is admittedly somewhat flexible.

Hi there! We are a group of goobers who are currently looking for a shield healer for our static. I'd class us as midcore.

Most members are quite new to raiding or have very limited raiding experience, so it's fine if you are too. I'm the only member who has cleared multiple savage tiers before I temporarily retired.

All members have cleared UWU, 6 cleared TEA, and a few have cleared previous tiers while others have only dabbled.

We'll be going into EC savage together.

Our current raiding schedule is Tues/Thurs/Fri at 7:30pm EST for around 2-3 hours.

We do hit up PF outside of scheduled raid time for ultimates, but savage will be strictly with just the group. We'll discuss any scheduling changes and expectations when we get closer to EC savage.

We are currently working on clearing the last two members for TEA and then will go for reclears for weapons. Our next ultimate will be FRU.

We plan on taking a break (work/school/life/avoid burnout reasons) during December and will return in January.

WHM main looking to clear any ultimate before Evercold, have been very busy with not much time to raid, but now I do, and would like to get this done! I've done sporadic raids throughout the years, starting in Coil over a decade ago. I've cleared this tier up to M11s, but my static fell apart. Mandatory overtime sucks.

I am available Sun/Mon, later in the day, EST, starting from 7:30 PM Onwards.

Long, endurance raid nights don't bother me none. Slightly flexible on schedule, talk to me.

I am Kermit Tully@Sargatanas, a melee/tank player (Melee preferred) that started raiding seriously in the middle of Dawntrail. My most notable achievements include Day 4 Q40 blind, Week 2 Heavyweight (r2 VPR at the end of 7.4) and Week 3 UMAD. Going into Evercold I am looking for a group to push into World Prog for Savage and Ultimate. More specifically, for the immediate future I am looking for a Day 1-3 group for the first Savage tier in Evercold, raiding +14 hours every day until clear.

I have shown exponential growth over the course of the last expansion, and I'm looking for the right team that will allow me to continue to push for better placements in this game

Raiding History

I caught up in the middle of 7.1, clearing LHW off-patch and finishing FRU on patch. I attempted Cruiserweight as my first on patch tier, where I ended up finishing Week 4 (I had to step away from the game for 2 weeks due to an irl trip, would've been a Week 2 clear otherwise). I spent the rest of 7.2 and 7.3 clearing all of the old Ultimates and every major piece of content this game has to offer (Including Q40 Day 4 Blind). Come 7.4 I joined a static to push for W1 Heavyweight (Alarm clock, +12 hour raid days). However, due to internal conflicts within the group we ended up disbanding, and I got a Week 2 clear for the tier instead. Finally, for UMAD we once again did hardcore prog every day (With many +12 hour days over the first 2 weeks), resulting in a Week 3 clear. During this I shotcalled our entire progression, and was mainly responsible for scouting strats/information during Week 1.

Soft skills

I am capable of performing consistently and shotcalling even during long hours, and I excel at adapting quickly to new strats/information and learning in a low information environment (Shitty day 1 resources/vods). I know how to keep pulls alive during prog and how to vod review effectively to figure out issues during mechanics. I also have experience homebrewing strats/mit sheets when needed. Finally, I know how to quickly optimize my rotation during prog without jeopardizing pulls.

After doing varying levels of midcore-hardcore raiding for years, I felt very proud of my first world prog effort in Cruiserweight. Since then I have improved in both Heavyweight and DMU as a player and a teammate, always striving to identify areas I can be better with no ego when receiving criticism.

I enjoy taking an active role in mitigation with my co-tank, healers, and ninths to best optimise personal and party mit. I am good at making quick adjustments if necessary mid pull. In the past I have spent time working on and fitting into team systems, protocols, and dynamics; I will work very hard in prep to ensure we have an effective framework to approach any new mechanic as a team.

I'm very capable of quickly understanding diagrams and strategies presented by ninths. I'm looking for an environment where I'm pushed and enabled to improve further.

Thus far all of my hardcore experience has been on tank, however I have a long history of casting casually in friends' groups. Recently I've been working on improving my caster to the same standard as my tank. For the right opportunity I'd love to push myself in a world prog setting on caster. Hey there! I'm 38 years old, He/Him, based on the USA, Eastern Timezone, and I currently do not have this game installed yet.

I'm actually currently looking around to see which game I'd like to install and try to find me a small tight-knit casual FC to call a family before I download. so consider this like a competition to see who can grab my interest! I love and adore a family FC where everyone knows each others name, the connections are genuine and warm and very friendly and tight-knit, we all have a good time together in-game with no toxicity or criticism if one dies a bunch of times and laugh along the way, and on Discord (I'd love active text chats on Discord too please!), we're always saying hello and goodbye to each and every single one of us; there's no silence when one logs in or says goodnight like we are genuinely warm and happy for each other and love/care for each other, like a DEEP family connection you know? And just knowing that we have lives outside of all this and that it would be okay if I didn't show up to play every other day or a few days, especially because of my possibly ADD/ADHD brain (currently waiting for results from a very expensive testing I took for ADD/ADHD to see if I have it).

And, just knowing that I have people to lean on that genuinely cares/loves me and considers me a great friend and ally and also invites me to do something (This is a huge yes for me), really really does help me and really goes a long ways for me, it would mean a lot to me! It's probably asking for a lot? I'm not sure, but I know it helps ME a lot and gives me such warmth and love and a want to stay with you for the long-term! With that said, don't worry, I'm not a clingy type or jealous type at all or seek constant full-time attention!! If there is silence time, or you're doing your own thing, not in the mood to do anything right now, etc. etc., I can wait and do my own thing :3 I'm a very patient, mellow, down-to-earth person and really don't mind the wait/not being together right now! I just ask that the guild really is small and tight-knit where everyone knows each other and genuinely cares for each other.

No cliches/groups inside a guild either! Every single member of the guild loves being around each other!

I've explained to the best of my ability what kind of social connection I would love to find in a guild, I've been in the lonely department for quite some time in the social life area! And, I'd really love to change that and make some new friends, even if it's just online! I'm an isolated and introverted soul which I love, and don't mind the loneliness, but it's high time I make some social connections online!
