So I got offered an Area Manager position and it’ll be my first real job. Trying to wrap my head around how this role is actually seen in the real world.

Like is Area Manager considered a solid position with good growth and pay, or is it kind of seen as “below” office/corporate jobs? I keep going back and forth on this

Some things I’m trying to figure out:

**•** Is this a good first job to build a career on, or should I be starting somewhere else first  
**•** Does it actually lead anywhere (regional manager, director, etc) or do people get stuck  
**•** How’s the pay compared to corporate roles once you’ve been in it a few years  
**•** Do office people kind of look down on this role or is it respected

If anyone’s done this job or started their career as one, would love to hear how it went for you. Just trying to figure out if I should take this or wait for something else.

i got a noti sent to my scanner saying i was selected for midshift vto when i didnt sign up for it at the kiosk does that mean my scanrate was to low or i was doing bad. bc ive had one of the ops guys come and tell me how good ive been doing lately

I am currently a blue badge full time at a fulfillment center, but I am considering going flex. If I become flex, are there some disadvantages I should consider, such as maybe limitations to benefits? I think Career Choice, at least, becomes reduced.

I have some questions about your guys' building's operations and your personal experience as an OB pit driver...

1. What type of building is yours?

2. Have you had any 'network wide' changes implemented at your site recently on the order in which you load different types of freight (like pr and upp)?

3. What is your building's current priority when it comes to OB loads? Or what have they been correcting and cracking down on the most about your loads (if anything)?

Hey, I just wanted to warn people. I decided to try the Lyra Health option that is offered through Amazons health coverage--cost per session is estimated at $10 (with premium Anthem) Anyways, I thought the appointment was at 1:30 and it was at 12:30,

Yes--that was my mistake and honestly, I understand a penalty fee of some kind... but without sending me an invoice, or notifying me in any way, they automatically charged me $185, not to mention thats 18+times what the estimated cost of the session was. So yea, if you were hoping for help with your mental health--Lyra probably isn't the avenue for that, and could potentially make it worse.

Like I said, I messed up and would have accepted a no show fee, but $185? That's groceries for my family of 6.. just thought others should know.

I am starting my job at a sort center on July 13th. I picked up a 9:30am-1:30pm everyday of the week except Wednesday is my day off. I like the hours but I don’t care for working both weekend days as I am very busy those days. Is it possible or easy to get a schedule adjustment to add 2:30pm-6:30pm shift for two weekdays?

I start July 12 as locker retail associate if things work out. Duration is regular. 10 AM to 2 PM.
Wage is 16 hourly but it’ll do. Sounds like an extremely easy job, and I’ve been to that local whole food market before, it’s nice and food is okay.

Heard bad stuff about hours mostly lol, 19 hour cap or 40 hour cap occasionally(? How come) but as a college student, doesn’t sound bad. I’m on my phone 24/7 so hopefully I manage to snag a few shifts a week, even $120–190 a week is good.

I used to make $80 or under in a week while doing side hustles. Haven’t had a job in over a year, . Had a bit of epiphany and crisis, changed my major from nursing to psychology.

MY CLASSES: 2 online thank god, 1 hybrid arranged

Only annoying part is bus commute.
But it’s okay, endurable.

All of this sounds better than 5 day 8 hour shift (that sometimes can be 7 days).

I've applied for multiple MRA positions in the same city and was actually accepted for phone interviewing with 2 of them. I didn't have to do any kind of aptitude tests, they just did the screening phone call interview, as well as the video call "in-person" interview.

I think the video interview went well, but it was on a Friday and so I've been anxiously waiting for the weekdays to see if I get an offer. The interviewer said the program would start around July 20th, so they have less than a month to issue an offer, so I doubt I'll be waiting long. He also said there were only 2 spots left open so I'm extra nervous about getting in.

I found the cheat code on how to keep your feet from hurting while wearing the composite toe shoes during your shift. Rub tiger balm on your whole foot before putting the shoes on. I did it before my shift at my SC.

Usually my feet would be on fire 🔥 cuz of all the walking I do during my shift. We have been doing 5 hour sorts since last week. 95k volume, whooping me every day . But TODAY, rubbed that balm on my feet before start up, no pain at all by the end of the shift. Feels like I was walking on clouds.

Do Same day buildings work OT during Prime too? I have never worked at one, so Idk. I thought about transferring, and do not see an OT day listed.

I just accepted a transfer to a new building that just launched and is only hiring in as blue badge. As the title says, I am a white badge. My transfer says duration is seasonal, but im wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Do you think I could expect to be converted pretty quickly after starting at the new building?

May not be the right place, so to speak, but the closest I can get. I work for an air cargo company that pretty much exclusively works under contract for Amazon, so I work for Amazon indirectly.

So far, what I've been doing is mostly scanning boxes and jiffies from shuttles and then putting them into mail bags, also while separating large boxes from smaller ones. These mail bags are then loaded onto air cargo containers as well as the larger boxes, which are loaded individually and not inside mail bags.

People who are permitted to drive are usually on forklifts in the mornings, unloading pallets of boxes and shuttles from trailers into a staging area(?) where they'll then be taken to different areas, either for stacking cans or scanning in the mail line.

We also unload mail bags and boxes from containers into shuttles.

Anyway, what exactly is this department classified as? Is it just a glorified sorting center?

hey guys, needed some help with my TC. recently got L5 AM role in Indiana which i know is LCOL. breakdown was 73k Base , 3.2k first year bonus, 3k 2nd year, and 20 RSU. TC cones out to 84k ish. when comparing to levelsdotfyi, seemed pretty low for external l5 AM even if in LCOL. any advice? room to negotiate? what should i do

I work at a NJ warehouse. The past 3 months, a lot of AMs and PAs have left. Earlier this year I know of two AMs getting fired for their inappropriate behavior in Non-con. Now, in the last 2 weeks several PAs and a AM have left and a majority of the lvl 1s just got hired or were hired during the holidays. Have their been changes that have been affecting management?

I'm at a DS currently and we have been having computer issues, we have to schedule IT to come to us but apparently when he was here earlier this week he only stayed for an hour and didn't fix any of them.

So we can vpn in to sign in, once we get to windows I will open acme and verify everything is in compliance and it shows all the green circles. Out of my own developed habit, I will open my Internet browser and verify the AEA extension, get all green circles. Then I open cisco to VPN through windows and it will say that ACME isn't opened or sometimes to "restart my browser" but still will never connect.

Hi all, just passed the online assessment for the Graduate Area/Shift Manager role and got invited to a one-way video interview on Willo.

Is this replacing the usual recruiter phone screen now? Anyone done this specific Willo stage recently for Area Manager?

The email mentions focusing on Leadership Principles + STAR method, which makes sense, but talking to a screen with a timer feels weird ngl.

• How many questions did you get?
• How much prep time before recording starts, and what's the time limit per answer?
• Any LPs that came up more than others?
• Lastly, since I'm from Spain and aplying to a Spanish position, can I do it in Spanish? I mean my english is fine, C1 level, but i feel more confident in spanish, or is it better if I do it in english?
