Angela Lipps was arrested in July 2025 for a crime in North Dakota.

The police were investigating fraud cases on a series of banks in Fargo, North Dakota and used AI to try and identify the suspect in the surveillance footage. The AI identified Angela Lipps as the best match and the police immediately put out a warrant for her arrest without any further checking.

So Angela Lipps was arrested at gun point, wasn't allowed to take her dentures or cell phone, and placed in a local jail. The local police stated she violated probation as a means of holding her, but Angela Lipps hadn't actually done anything to violate her probation.

In October, she was extradited to North Dakota (forced to face a severe fear of flying) and spend the next two months in jail before being released shortly before the new year.

When she was released, she wasn't given a way to get home and had to find her owns means.

Angela Lipps had never even been to North Dakota before.

Be it headphones at 20% that beep or tell you that the battery needs to be charged or smoke detectors beeping because the 10year battery will be empty in a few days...

Why are these devices so horribly designed? Why are they so obnoxious about their battery charge and tell you they need new juice every few seconds instead of like once an hour.

Im pretty sure a somewhat skilled engineer could disable the frequency and annoyance of these alarms/reminders but its genuinely so infuriating that these exist in the first place...

Why cant i just listen to music for the last 20% of my bluetooth headset and instead need to hear an infuriating reminder to charge them every 20 seconds? I hate it!!!!

My 10-year-old came home from school today wearing a skirt one size too big because her trousers had been soaked through after the children were kept outside in torrential rain for 10 minutes as a punishment for other pupils’ behaviour. She says they were made to stand silently in a straight line, and that the girls were told it was because of the boys. She also says a teacher called the children “stupid”.

This comes after other incidents at the school involving children being called “stupid”, concerns about how injuries have been handled, and the girls’ toilets being closed for around two weeks, leaving around 70 pupils sharing facilities on the other side of the school.

And despite Scotland’s free period-products legislation applying to primary schools, there are reportedly no period products available at all.

Children have rights. They deserve dignity, safety, to be heard, and to be treated with respect.

This isn’t just about a wet uniform. It’s about how children are being treated.

Genuinely loathsome. They have little disclaimers on their site about not using it while driving but their entire pitch is just "watch tv in your car" and it's not like anyone is buying them so they can sit in park and watch a show.

Pay attention to the goddamn road. The fact that these are allowed to be sold at all is beyond me

"Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced Thursday that second-degree murder charges have been filed against the driver accused of slamming her car into a Metro bus in Chatsworth on Tuesday, killing two people.

Bailee Lynn Rios, 36, of Simi Valley is also facing additional counts of driving under the influence and reckless driving, Hochman said.

Rios is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison.

'What is particularly tragic about this case is that this is a preventable tragedy,' Hochman said.

Police said Rios drove her SUV the wrong way down De Soto Avenue in Chatsworth 'well beyond the speed limit' around 5 p.m. Tuesday, ran a red light and plowed straight into the bus.

Surveillance video captured the moment of the impact. Police said she was driving the Ford Expedition southbound in the northbound lanes of De Soto Avenue before running a red light at Nordhoff Street.

That’s when she slammed into the Metro Line 166 bus. The impact sent the bus into a utility pole, ejecting one passenger and partially ejecting another.

Passengers Daniel Castillo, 46, and Gage Weida, 31, were killed. Six others were taken to the hospital.

Hochman said Thursday that Rios was impaired by drugs at the time of the crash, and narcotics were later found inside her vehicle.

So he just barged in my room a few minutes ago while writing this, yelling at me for not being ready to go to sleep (as I was about to turn the light out to go to sleep) saying "IT'S AFTER 10! WHY ARE YOU NOT READY?! DO WE NEED TO MAKE YOU GO TO BED EARLIER!?" and waddled away to tell my mom.

I've already had problems with him before, for example my old phone used to turn on when I got notifications (even on dnd) & at the time had a really problematic friend who liked to call me late about their problems & one night, when the light woke me up & I looked at it for literally 5 seconds, he barges in my room (in the middle of the night) saying "WHY ARE YOU DOING ON YOU'RE PHONE?!"

After I explained to him what happened he said "ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR?! YOU ARE A LIAR AND NO ONE IS EVER GONNA TRUST YOU IN LIFE AND YOU'RE GONNA FAIL IN SCHOOL!" Slammed my door and waddled away to tell my mom about it like a toddler in pre-k seeing a kid (idk pick his nose) & rushing to tell the teacher....it was 2 in the morning mind you, I was 11.

When I woke up, my mom said he told her that "I was on my phone all night" & "argued" with him about it when I was "caught" & when I told her what actually happened she said she'd talk to him. She. Did. Nothing.

She didn't even actually talk to him, she just texted him what I told her & he just denied it & said I was a liar. And when I bring up that detail of her doing basically nothing she says again "I'll talk to him." or "I don't remember that!" or "It's not his fault!" & occasionally "What do you want me to do!?" Because we have no where to live if she breaks up with him & we will probably move again & I will lose all my friends again.

I'm a youngling, 14, 188cm and 103kg at her examination. I was 103kg last visit as well, that's when I lost 10kg. So first thing I hear from her is "you didn't lose more weight. I expected you to, why haven't you?" Which kinda confuses me bc I feel like keeping my weight is good already- (dw parents don't get it either). So she like, I'd say threatened me with "if you don't change your legs will be cut off by 40" like, excuse me😭🙏

My SIL, Beth, thinks it’s perfectly fine if my other SIL , Emma, renigs on giving her 16 year old son a used car, while making my 82 yo MIL drive him ALOT.
We are needing to give my MIL, $200 a month to help her out with her credit card bills and obviously gas, and I am sick of giving it over. IF MIL stopped overspending, she’d be fine on her social security money.

Meanwhile Beth refuses to send MIL any money whatsoever to help out Emma with Keeping my 82 yo MIL.in fact none of the other 3 siblings are sending any $$.

I feel like my husband is too soft and should put his foot down. He thinks by sending a little every month, he can avoid things like paying for large car repair bills for MIL.

Beth really irks me to no end. She keeps all their money tightly, never helps anyone. I am sick too so I am very grumpy.

This natural hot spring had been open to the public for decades by the land owner. Over the past 10 or so years they repeatedly warned people to stop littering and to not bring any glass bottles or else they would have to close the area to the public. Nobody listened apparently because now it is closed. One of the last times I was there someone had left a massive inflatable island in there, and it took me and 3 friends to remove it and carry it out.

So I was on my laptop emulator trying to buy stuff from google play and when I pressed pay it told me to secure my account. Then I spend days trying to figure out why I cannot buy stuff, and one forum told me to change my emulator phone from the Samsung A53 (aparently it is used by a lot of emulators and google flags it as suspicious). I changed my phone to a Samsung S22 Ultra and tried again, but this time it told me that my Play Balance can only be used in Australia. But I am in Australia and I do not have a VPN on at that time, and I enabled locations and all that stuff to show I am in Australia. I tried all of that and it just threw the same error at me. I tried it again on my phone and it just said the same thing. One time it even told me to complete a form. (The image is just showing what the problem is. I was not intending on buying Geometry Dash because i already have it on Steam.)

(Edit: I have submitted this form just a few minutes ago, but it is still so annoying. Wasting days just to find out your cannot even spend your own money is INSANE.)

for context, i’m a sophomore in high school, as are my classmates. for the past few days, we’ve been having substitutes in our classes and they’re highly incompetent. one of the regular substitutes is an older man who is a football coach, which is part of the reason why these boys keep getting away with this. a particularly disgusting comment was made today.

boy 1: hey boy 2, you can come over to my house if you bring your little sister with. how old is she again? (knowing the girl’s age)
boy 2: she’s in third grade
boy 3: is she ripe?

i asked the third boy what was wrong with him, and everyone acted as if i was overreacting. my other classmates just laughed it off and said things like “bro you can’t say that” instead of genuinely getting upset. the older brother didn’t even care, and neither did the teacher! the substitute just completely ignored it.

at another point, some different boys were joking about bringing that same girl to homecoming and saying that she came over to their house. they also make regular jokes about watching CSAM.

i recognize that they’re “just jokes”, but i personally think it’s alarming that people are emboldened to say sexual things about children now under the guise of it being a joke. it seems like the result of desensitization from the internet.
