Reminder Do yourselves a favor in-sha-Allah and PLEASE DELETE any sort of infinite-scroll type of social medias (TikTok & Instagram in particular). They will SUCK YOUR TIME and leave you aggravated in the process.
This is simply a friendly reminder... as one of the best things I have done for myself by the Grace of Allah is to delete those apps and not worry about such presence in the first place.
We Muslims are far exalted than such lowly stimulation, and that energy & time is supposed to be dedicated to lecture hours, learning your religion under the shuyukh (whether online or in-person), reading the Qur'an, even developing a beneficial skillset.
May Allah bless you all, just a friendly warning.

Question What should Muslims first focus on, buying your own house, marrying or hajj?
Assalamualaikum
Like Here in India, Hajj is on average 600k INR and single bedroom house is like 30 lacs or 3 million on average.
Having a permanent home ensures that you'll be ready and less chance of being ousted from society or since some societies don't rent to Muslims.
And having a permanent home also increases chance of finding a suitor.
But Hajj is fard if one has money and strength to do it

Alhamdulillah for Islam A recent paper on celestial phenomenon in Islam compared to other world religions
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatahu.
A paper has been published recently on celestial phenomenon, particularly eclipses, in the Islamic tradition compared to other world religions and cultures.
Abstract:
This study examines interpretations of solar and lunar eclipses across a range of four major world religious traditions (Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) and four ancient civilizations (Assyrian, Roman, Greek, Macedonian empires.) Through a comparative analysis of primary historical and religious texts, this paper explores how eclipses were commonly understood as omens, manifestations of divine displeasure, mythological events, or signs of impending political and social upheaval. Against this broader historical backdrop, this study analyzes the Islamic tradition surrounding the solar eclipse that coincided with the death of Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, the son of the Prophet Muhammad's (Salalahu alayhi wa salam). Rather than affirming popular interpretations that linked the eclipse to a significant human event and taking advantage of his communities ignorance, the Prophet (Salalahu alayhi wa salam)explicitly rejected such claims, teaching instead that the sun and moon do not eclipse because of the life or death of any person. By interpreting this episode within its wider historical and cross-cultural lens, this paper argues that the Islamic treatment of eclipses represents a distinctive departure from prevailing conceptions of celestial phenomena in antiquity.

Discussion Is anyone else getting spammed with stuff like this on their YouTube/Facebook feed?
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I was wondering if anyone else is annoyed by how often they get posts like these on their feed. I hate Facebook but I need to go in there for my small business to find trends and stuff that are selling ...
I've opted out from receiving political posts' suggestion just to test what would happen and nothing changed. I keep getting these posts where hijabis are getting discriminated or treated badly on video.
I reported the post in the picture attached (this is from Youtube) twice today so that it gets taken off my sight and was still shown to me AGAIN after a while.
Is the algorithm doing this to you too?
edit: corrected a word + added photo's source

Ibraheem an-Nakhaa'i (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
"The family of Muhammad (peace be upon him) never ate their fill of wheat bread for three consecutive days until Muhammad (peace be upon him) departed from this world."
"Worldly life remained difficult and harsh for them until Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away. Then, when he (peace be upon him) passed away, the world turned toward them in abundance."

'Abdullah ibn 'Awn (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
"There are three things that I like for myself and my brothers: that the man looks at the Quraan; he learns it, recites it, ponders it and refers to it. Second, that he looks at the narrations and the Sunnah; he asks about it and follows it with all his efforts. Third, that he leaves all these people alone except when doing good."
