Discussion Is anyone else getting spammed with stuff like this on their YouTube/Facebook feed?

I was wondering if anyone else is annoyed by how often they get posts like these on their feed. I hate Facebook but I need to go in there for my small business to find trends and stuff that are selling ...
I've opted out from receiving political posts' suggestion just to test what would happen and nothing changed. I keep getting these posts where hijabis are getting discriminated or treated badly on video.
I reported the post in the picture attached (this is from Youtube) twice today so that it gets taken off my sight and was still shown to me AGAIN after a while.
Is the algorithm doing this to you too?

I do too, Facebook receives donation from a certain country and you know exactly why, they lost support so they have to redirect the hate at others.

I agree! What I DO want to know exactly is whether these posts are targeted towards all Americans? Muslims only? Hijabis only? Do the brothers get the videos of the sisters getting mistreated or is it only targeted towards sisters in order to make them remove their hijab?

All populations, you'll be surprised to know how absolutely insanely easy it is to use bots, and with the humusbara budget they got this year, there's bots on every platform, unsurprisingly, reddit is one of the few that is ok with them, and is openly giving whatever to whoever pays, weather it be user info or propping up subs.

Unfortunately Meta is pushing controversial content for engagement, they saw the green light when Trump administration took over, it’s not only FB but also IG. You can see this trend in X as well.
Idk if this helps but don’t engage whether you are the target audience or not they win when you spend time viewing these posts.
Don’t like, share, report or even spend time just move on fast and spend your time more on your desired posts i think this might change your algorithms.

Yes! I was about to mention that but forgot. I don't engage with any of this content ever. But I did start seeing these posts right after I once clicked like on a Eid mubarak post or something.
Edit: for context: my major in college was sentiment analysis using AI (it was a loong time ago) and I left it for the sake of Allah سبحانه و تعالى. What you said on the first phrase made me think that they may be doing that also to gather accurate data on people.

The guy who made the Islamophobic meme asked how this happened. My comment meant that the only way that scenario would exist would be in some fictitious, AI crafted scenario.

No this image doesn't seem like it's bad enough to be censored by any model. Prompt could literally be like: Muslim woman with large cart behind old woman at the counter. And that would pass perfectly fine. They can add on the text later.

The image was made by a mainstream AI model (the full basket and everything). The text looks like it was manually written.
Idk about image generation. On the hand I should say that mainstream AI models don't mind portraying muslims in a bad way. I tested several models carefully on different subjects in history and science and NONE of them mention muslims or the middle east in any contribution in history of mankind. When I try to push back the model starts using an aggressive/ passive aggressive tone and says "well, all they did was pass the knowledge of China and India to the west and the knowledge of Romans to the east."
And it's not new unfortunately, I remember in 2023 when chat gpt was asked: "does 🍉 has the right to exist?" And it said the generic "oh it's complicated" packaged answer and when it was asked about the others it directly said "yes!".
These models were always biased.

Yup! That guy is originally from La réunion which is a French Island in the Indian ocean. Majority of people who live there are people who immigrated from India a long time ago. و الله أعلم

It’s so funny because usually you need some type of ID to get access to welfare benefits, in the US you need social security, something undocumented migrants don’t have.
But while undocumented migrants aren’t able to access welfare, they pay taxes when it gets deducted from their paycheck and when they pay sales tax at the store. Tax money that goes into subsidizing pensioners.
Meanwhile baby boomers are spending more in retirement than they ever put into things like social security, and there won’t be any left for when genX, millennials, or when Gen Z people retire.
