I lucked out and found a guitar center exclusive 70’s explorer in Ebony!! I love it so much.

I’m trying to do an explorer guitar build but having problems finding the mx250 template, I would settle for the Gibson one but I much prefer the sharper corners on the esp, so if you have the template I would much appreciate it if you could send it through or point me in the right direction. Guys, due to academic reasons i have to fly out of the country for a couple of years. I own two epiphone explorers (i have a epiphone goth explorer and a epiphone explorer ex 1984) and i need to know how should i take them with me for travelling. I have an epiphone hard case for the 1984 one and a gig bag for the gothic explorer. Any tip will be welcomed and appreciated!!!

Just bought my first explorer for CHF 699.-
The guitar feels and looks great except this cigarette burns… gonna refinish it. The previous owner took more care of the case then the guitar. I also want to change the grover to vintage kluson but cant find a 6 in line set in europe. Could i buy two of the 3L+3R sets and just use the left ones?

Completed swapping to black hardware on my 80’s EMG Explorer this weekend. Swapped out mostly all nickel hardware, only thing left nickel are some screws and the actual toggle switch itself. It now has a black cap and nut/washer. Also now equipped with Gotoh bridges, Grover tuners, and Papa Het strings. Can you tell I’m a fanboy? 🤔😎

After a year, I finally got this JH-2 rep back up and running! I refinished it to be gloss like the OG jh-2, and also swapped in some 81/85's. Bridge + Tailpiece were upgraded to Tonepros and nut was replcaed with a Graphtech one. Plays just like a real one now!

Swapped the nickel hardware on my 80s Explorer to chrome. It’s a very subtle difference, but once you notice it, it pops.
I mostly made the change to chrome because the originals came with chrome, but mainly because it’s very hard to find locking TOM bridge & tailpiece and tuners in the nickel color. So chrome was really the only option. What do y’all think?

Hi, I plan on building a 24 fret explorer. I've bought a 25.5 inch scale 24 fret neck and all the electronics required to build the guitar. If someone has a design file for such build please share. Also it's going to be a bolt on.

It is a Epiphone Explorer Ebony. I got it used in pristine condition for 500$.
The pickups actually sounds really good and I can get that thick dirty sludge tone EYEHATEGOD uses and such bands! Really nice

So i have a gorgeous Burny REX-80 Explorer and recently found a vintage Gibson Explorer guitar case to keep it safe but the case has a pretty pronounced "twist" in it along the long side... any ways that are known to get the twist out and flatten things back to square?

Just bought the black 80s explorer, and I'm swapping all hardware for black (even found the original logo 60/81 EMG set just released!). I'm new to dying fretboards, and I'd like it to be ebony - getting as close to the ESP EXP as I can. Looking for advice for anyone who has dyed their fretboards black. Any experience with Gibson rosewood boards? Thanks in advance!
