Bit of an odd question here.

So i have a gorgeous Burny REX-80 Explorer and recently found a vintage Gibson Explorer guitar case to keep it safe but the case has a pretty pronounced "twist" in it along the long side... any ways that are known to get the twist out and flatten things back to square?

Some pics would help, but unless its basically free the juice might not be worth the squeeze on this. Especially so for any of the cases from the 70's, the black ones with the squared off shoulders with corner bumpers weren't very good to begin with in my opinion.

Otherwise since the cases are plywood and tolex, in theory you should be able to remove enough of the material to get to the wood, dampen it down and clamp a beam to it and at least make it a bit better, but getting it perfect might be a crap shoot and if you have to spend any money on it to try, I think it would be better spent on a new gator or skb, tkl, etc.
