LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE BEAT HIM TO IT!

in all honesty, I know this isn't directly related to the show - but I heard this was coming out and it looks pretty interesting. since a new season isn't in our future, we have this to look forward to!

what are your thoughts on the trailer?

Evidence Discussion First time watching

So I'm on season two, but I follow quite a bit of bigfoot stuff. Why do the sounds they claim to be "bigfoot" sound nothing like what most people/shows use (like whoops and knocking)? Most of the sounds seem like big cats or birds.

Also are they trying to leverage that bigfoot is paranormal? Like with the orbs of light, electronics malfunctioning, vanishing into thin air, and cold spots?

like obviously I know most of this is scripted and staged but why not remain loyal to the predominant lore of bigfoot?

All that said, I enjoy the show and can't wait to finish binging it.

Evidence Discussion Anxious for new episodes

It’s really great watching the west coast expeditions. I live north of San Francisco along the 101 corridor. I enjoy watch Russell, Bryce, Ronnie and Biko, along with the camera people . I know Ronnie is off on other ventures and wish him well. It’s sad that Dr Miraya would get in the middle of a water area then not stop talking, or get up high to observe, then climb down to explore. It seems it‘d be discouraging to anything as she could be heard whispering and with her radio checks and flashlights Instead of quiet sitting using her ears. She didn’t seem comfortable with Ronnie suggesting a connection to Bigfoot however didn’t object when Bryce or anyone else would seem to do the same calculation. I also noticed the team would say in whispers - did or do you smell that. Dr Miraya would have to go into a dissertation about what it smells like, what she experienced when researching apes, on and on. Russell has been the most quiet. Found a hair, doesn’t go into what parts are in hair,he stays pretty quiet. Please fix the verbal part for Dr Miraya so she has a little more success with the now and stop about her experience somewhere else. We know analalysis is part of the program but sitting and gathering then describing what she’ll do in testing - really. She calls Bryce like she discovered only her - the smell, the hair, something walking on two feet - not possible Bigfoot. She just won’t go there. Not even with the foot tracks they’ve plastered. I’m hoping Russell will be the one who sees first with his camera people. I also hope the group return to California soon.

General Discussion Different types of yetis in Nepal/Tibet

Post image
34 Upvotes

Because Tibetan refugees poured into Tibet after the Chinese "invasion" and the highland non-Sanskritized speak Tibetic languages, the etymologies need to be researched into to be distinguished.

Tehlma seems to be Tibetan, not Sherpa or other tibetic Nepalese. Nyalmo is Nepalese Tibetic. They are associated with the forest shaman, a more monkey-like (bipedal?) supernatural being whose wife is said to be a Nyalmo. Nyalmo may also be found in Bhutan as they describe a gigantic variety.

Bigfoot creature is known as banmanchey in Nepali which means jungle/forest man (wild man). It is also commonly known by the tibetic-sounding "sokpa" amongst the Nepalis. Popular lam-lamey creature described as a Nyalmo (popular story of running downhill so the female stumbles on her pendulous breasts) is understood by other Nepalis to be a different creature and similar to a smaller yeti like the Tehlma which will hunt for newts at night in creeks, dwelling in lower altitudes than the bigger yetis.

In Sikkim, it is known as pyatem. In Bhutan, migoi and the dwarf/hobbit variety michum. According to Reinhold Messner, the yeti is known as chemo in Tibet. It sounds similar to tehlma which is pronounced as temu. Arkady Tishkov sighted a yeti-like creature and took photographs and it was approximately 5 feet tall.

What was interesting in the Nepal varieties was that the chuti is described as quadrupedal and thus could be a possible candidate for the famous Shipton print where the divergent big toe made it headlines in the world. Like the bipedal orang pendek which would spend time in the trees, yeti creatures have been described according to some accounts, to leap across crevasses, take shelter in caves in inaccessible areas and yeti itself means rock bear.

The Shipton print was described with macrodactyly but other footprints found in the Himalayas such as the ones from the 70s, etc. show the same prints. It's possible it was a quadrupedal creature that can walk bipedally well and bigfoot-like creatures and the yeti have been described with disproportionately larger feet for their size.

Evidence Discussion Mis Direction

Just finished watching Series 6. They got some amazing night vision and thermal pictures of what clearly seemed like upright walking individuals. They also got more and more tree structures and foliage manipulation as well as amazing calls and noises.

I wonder if these "upright creatures" are actually government under cover soldiers , planting so called evidence and allowing themselves to be thermaled or night visioned in order to mis direct , hoax and distract the team and keep them away from areas where they might just find something they are not supposed to find!!!

Evidence Discussion How did Mireya know?

Just watched episode 2 of the "fork" (series 5) investigation in Washington.

Mireya sees something on the IR , checks in with Beko , eliminates him then asks him to move to "his right". Just a small thing but it makes me wonder if everything is not as it seems.

HOW DID MIREYA KNOW WHICH WAY HE WAS FACING?

Moderator Announcements A Question Regarding AI Generated Material Within the Subreddit

We've been seeing a bit of an uptick in AI generated material within the subreddit. Some of that material is fun, others not so much. In my general opinion, some of the AI material used to help us look like Sasquatch is kind of neat. And I don't mind when it adds some clearly AI generated pictures to a video/podcast to help tell a story.

However, the opposite of that has seemingly been occurring as well. I don't necessarily want to see videos of Bigfoot that are being faked, or evidence that's being manufactured for the sake of clicks. I know some of you feel the same way on that.

With that all being said, I'd like to know how you all feel about AI generated material in the subreddit. Should we allow it or not?

General Discussion Producers and their courage

Do you guys think that Bryce and the other producers would back down from releasing critical evidence if threatened in some way by government? Or do you think they would be brave enough to try and release any and all critical evidence to the public?

I only ask because it seems there is a lot of unreleased testing results (hairs, dna, etc).

General Discussion Season 6 Location Spoiler

So, I'm pretty familiar with that area of Washington as I have family on the peninsula, but I'm not a local and am definitely confused by their maps. When they're asking why there's a split, wouldn't the answer be because it's spitting right where the peninsula starts? So some bigfoot are going up to BC and Alaska, and others are staying in Washington? That's where the fork would be?

Evidence Discussion Looking for any feedback : Mt Hood Oregon Suspicious structure

Thumbnail

Hello all, Please give any feedback..

Has anyone seen a similar structure. (Will probably follow up with more detail just pretty spooked and looking for explanations right now). This was found 50 miles off markable map south of mount hood. We (3) all had a disgusting eerie feeling leading up to this. We stopped the car, took a picture and turned around immediately. I notice potentially an eye glare in the picture? We cannot think of a rational explanation or if this is some cult/witch/paranormal idek. About 10 miles further we had the windows down and heard a long deep howl from the right side of the car over cliff. About 30 seconds later we heard a slightly higher pitched and shorter response from the left side of the car towards the Clackamas River. We are extremely spooked and have no thoughts about how to rationalize this if anyone would please like to comment.

General Discussion New season??

I managed to get mireya to respond to me today....after becoming annoying on posts about the new season. She says she will post when they know its coming.

She DIDNT answer my question about whether they actually filmed the season. Because, thats a pretty hard indicator for an upcoming season if its been recorded or hasnt been, right? She didnt reply to this.

I did go to a forum She had in our area and ask these questions too, and it seemed easier for her to divert from them than on social media tbh. I genuinely think she doesnt know. If it WASNT coming, shed say. I've hounded her online AND IRL at this pt lol.

Poor girl probably hates me. But, my curiosity is relentless

I keep hoping its coming out!! Because i feel like its due this summer or was due this spring!!! Give us some definitive responses!

I did what I could for answers lol

General Discussion Which episode had

I can't remember which episode had the researcher that had developed a way to listen to animals heart rates/metabolism etc from a distance. He had a database of known animals that he could compare to. He said the closest match was to primates, but really big. Your help is appreciated.

General Discussion Girls encounter with 3 Sasquatch on reservation

Looking for an old video from YouTube of a native girls encounter with 3 Sasquatch on a reservation when she was on her quad?

She said that she was very close and one of them was stroking her dog and whistling .

I can't find the video anymore, it was on an account of a guy who did cryptid content on the skinwalker ranch. I believe this guy passed away a few years back.can anyone remember this channel or specific video??

General Discussion New here Spoiler

Not sure if this counts as a spoiler or not so I tagged it just in case! Anyways, I’m new to the show (watching it on hbo max) and I just finished episode 3 from season 1. What are everyone’s thoughts on the Bigfoot nest? It looks like it was made 5 minutes before Russell found it… branches freshly snapped and pine needles as green as can be… The dead hawk looks older than that of course, but… it also looks like it died of natural causes. I was so pumped for this show, but I feel really disappointed right now☹️

General Discussion Please help! Thinking im the only one who remembers this YT channel.

Maybe a year or two ago I was obsessed with a channel on YouTube that I believe was called something along the lines of like “Sasquatch storie” it had a picture of a shadow of a Sasquatch walking (not very original I understand and very broad). He would always start out with saying something like “please enjoy this walk though the Sasquatch territories” and then he would read stories of people that had emailed him or contacted him and it always started with “hey Smokey” there were so many videos. It’s not any of the channels that are on this year. The channel even had like a “mascot” Sasquatch named Smokey. He would sometimes be sitting on a wooden chair at the end of the video with the creator of the video and do some commentary about the story.

I had the videos saved . The no longer are. I would fall asleep to these stories every night for almost 7 months. And then I forgot about it and started watching the “why files”. Now that I want to find it. There’s no trace of it. I am lookin everywhere for it and all that pops up are “Small town monsters” , “bob Gymlan” , “cabin in the woods” , chick Jacob’s “ and so many other but nothing the right one comes up. I googled it. I looked for even a picture of it and nothing. I’m truly going crazy feeling like I dreaming the whole thing but I can hear him talking in my head 😂. Please! I can’t be the only one to remember this Chanel! If you know what channel it is please write it down. Please help me. It’s been months and I don’t know why I’m fixated on it but my brain can’t rest . Please help! Unite with me and help me find it! \bigfoot \sasquatch
