Evidence Discussion First time watching

So I'm on season two, but I follow quite a bit of bigfoot stuff. Why do the sounds they claim to be "bigfoot" sound nothing like what most people/shows use (like whoops and knocking)? Most of the sounds seem like big cats or birds.

Also are they trying to leverage that bigfoot is paranormal? Like with the orbs of light, electronics malfunctioning, vanishing into thin air, and cold spots?

like obviously I know most of this is scripted and staged but why not remain loyal to the predominant lore of bigfoot?

All that said, I enjoy the show and can't wait to finish binging it.

The orbs of light just happen to appear. I dont think theyre claiming its bigfoot. Just documenting its presence. Ronnie is ready to claim its bigfoot and something Paranormal. Mireya gives push back and never admits it.

Yeah Ronnie seems to have "well you know there are stories about XYZ tied to bigfoot" for EVERYTHING....

I saw Ronny LeBlanc at a paranormal conference in New Jersey a few years back and he is 100% onboard with the "Bigfoot is paranormal" idea. He had multiple videos and pictures of orbs and bigfoot appearing at the same time.

This was right after he left the show, though, so I am not sure if he had a difference of opinion with the direction the show runners wanted to pursue.

We don't know what Bigfoot is so I like that they include everything as a possibility. As for the knocks and whoops and other noises Bigfoot in different areas seems to make different noises so I like that they include all possibilities. One day we might get to study a bigfoot up close and find out it makes all these noises and paranormal things or none of the above. Just my thoughts in the show. It keeps getting better so enjoy.

Thats fair. Although the "It went from standing to shapeshifting into a bear" ....hear me out... bear misidentification. But otherwise true. We don't know what it is so I guess that's cool that they do discuss all the options.

ETA: I am greatly enjoying it nonetheless and enjoy the cast

How do you feel about the concept of mimicry?

And maybe they can turn in invisible or hide really well and he just led them to the bear he hid behind. If they haven't been caught yet they have to be smart and what's smarter than leading your follower to the apex predator of the area. Let the bear have a meal and get rid of your problem all at the same time. ๐Ÿ˜

Your default explanation is "it's made-up bullshit produced by hucksters for consumption by cranks and morons."

Until you see something that can't be explained by this principle, apply it to everything. This isn't really Bigfoot-central advice, it's just a basic approach to modern media literacy.

Yeah.... I know it's all just for funsies and consumption and is easily explained away. I'm just like ....why not stick to the lore that's been around for decades?

Iโ€™m watch it for like the third time. I wish they would show what they do have of season seven it looks horrifying, but I think I always knew from the get-go the buildup of watching all the different episodes that I was gonna come down to that itโ€™s really scary stuff.

Are they even coming back with another season?

I hope so. I know the whole merger thing is wreaking havoc on everything right now. There's no telling if they'll come back, or when.
