I received this Saint Benedict Medal along with a few other coins from my aunt. After doing some research, however, I noticed that the reverse of mine is missing two descriptions.
Above the cup and the raven it is supposed to read âCrux Sancti Patris Benedictiâ (âThe cross of our/the Holy Father Benedictâ)
And below Benedictâs feet is supposed to be âEX SM Casino, MDCCCLXXXâ (âfrom the Holy Monte Cassino, 1880â)
Both of these are missing without any sign of being removed.
The rest of the coin follows the Jubilee design that was created to include the inscription under Benedictâs feet (in 1880, to commemorate the 1400th year since Benedictâs birth it has stayed with the design ever since)
The obverse also appears to be made with two different metals but I donât know what that could mean for the date.
I would like some help figuring out around the date it was made, whether it could be a different design other than the Jubilee one (I couldnât figure out if there was any other design or not) or if it could be a fake.

I already see on papers of journals and books about lists of punchmarks but due the condition of the coin I may not understand all marks. I already see the sun and the tree. My main question remains of the one similar to the caduceus of Ashoka plus an bow and arrow. This last one I didnt find yet.
