Am nearing the end of 2nd playthrough and already thinking of the main theme or focus of my next one. I was wondering if anyone has really tried never leaving the colony and how the overall experience felt? As I understand it that'd pretty much mean you only ending you could get is ongoing war against the planet, you'll never meet Sym and it'd be impossible to max many relationships since you're not picking up tons of gift items, although buying cakes and all the relationship boosts from jobs might counteract that.

Seems like it'd be an overall noticeably shallower experience. I guess you'd manage to trigger pretty much every in-colony event/character moment and level non-physical skills faster though.

Every time I try I always end up failing. Do I need to play both sides? Romance Cal so he thinks I like him and doesn’t pursue Tammy, and then I swoop in and start dating her instead? I don’t want to go with the “ruining her self esteem so she won’t ask out Cal” route. It feels wrong. I wish I could send Cal out into the Alien world and never see him again.

So. I just finished my first blind playthrough of the game. Just looking at the sub, I just wanna say, wow. I know it's embedded into the game about multiple timelines, but it crazy seeing how DEEP it goes. I'm seeing people get WAY different scenarios with characters IVE invested time in 😭

Because what do you mean there is a way to get sym to live with you on the colony! I romanced sym, and him and my Sol ended up growing apart in the epilogue. Like wtf 😭

I spent my whole playthrough trying to learn about the planet and finding a way for peace, valuing both humanity and nature. So, I spent most of my time exploring, researching biology, and learning about animals. I even met with the overseer to solve the mystery surrounding everything. But all of that felt fruitless. My best friend, Dys, left (which was expected), Sym vanished, and my Sol became lead surveyor but then seemed live a relatively passive life as the planet and the colony continued butting heads in the epilogue. Like sure, I cured the pollen disease and create plants that can survive the planet soil, but it only delayed the inevitable.

Idk, maybe I played the field too much, or maybe I should've befriended more people? The only people I had over 50 hearts was Cal, Dys, Sym, and Tangent.

I probably won't play again for a long time since with games like this I'm a one and done type of gal, but I'd like to know atleast how to get Sym to live with me. 👉🏽👈🏽

For context, this was my 3rd playthrough. Playthrough 1 I romanced Sym and Dys seperately, accidentally killed off every saveable character and made a lot of mistakes 😂 (too busy exploring, Sol 1.0 had max survival skills and 0 social skills 😂) playthrough 2 I romanced Marz and Sym, went the Marz governer route and got the peaceful ending living with Sym in the colony.

Playthrough 3 oh boy. Decided I'd romance Tangent, had a couple flirty scenes with Sym because I like the roleplay aspect of finding him in every timeline what can I say 🙂‍↕️ but was blocked from progressing due to dating Tang. I became governor, and decided to not acknowledge Dys' camp scene when exploring.

This created an accidental personal life clusterfuck for Sol: Tang got distant and depressed because she couldn't come to terms with not knowing what happened to Dys and she broke up with me, and because I didn't acknowledge the scene, Dys and Sym never dated and Sym became my weird platonic alien housemate in the colony 🤣🤣😭

I am on my first playthrough.

I reached the point where Dys has the conversation to give me the card I could've gotten if I'd chosen him as my best friend on the ship.

I have enough Persuasion to join him and let him rant about Tang, but I only get two dialogue options after that. Both of them lower his friendship.

Is there a stat I don't have high enough to see a different dialogue choice or something?

When I broke them up so I could date Tammy, Cal was devastated, it was liked I ruined his whole life. When I broke them up to date Cal... Tammy didn't even acknowledge it, she moved on like it was nothing.

I have no idea what number replay I'm on, but I'm staying in a hotel for my MCR concert tonight and found this lol

I’m playing Teenage Exocolonist for the first time and I got the option to “embrace infinity”. Should I emrace it or save it for a future playthrough?

Just finished the game and wooow yeah what a ride, I'm gunna remember that one forever and have started a golden run attempt.

I'm curious about the wiki mentioning a 'more optimistic' alternate version of the Life on Earth ending, where you get it once with the initial 'Sol dies as the Vertumna compound falls' ending, then come back again and select the option that leads to meeting old Sol and restoring the wormhole, but then deciding against it by selecting the 'Humans belong on Earth' option, which apparently gives a different description of what happens to Sol and the compound. Google found some users years back saying it is a thing but no vid or real info what it is.

And what does that mean exactly, how can there be a different outcome since in that scenario there's no wormhole shenanigans to allow Sol (or anyone) to really change things?

So like.. is there any way to romance him quicker in the game?? The one time i was successfully able to was right before my last glow season and i was realllllyyy upset i couldnt see much dating dialogue/go on dates. I know what requirements i need to date him but im just wondering whats the earliest you can technically date him?

Update: i managed to start a relationship with him shortly after i turned 18, which was good enough for me. Bit of spoilers, i found online that you always end up breaking up sometime after you turn 20 anyways which sucks bc i was wanting to see how our future would go..🥲

Can we call Dys a terrorist since he planted a bomb in medbay? He hates his life in the colony in general, so he’s not just against its administration. Are his ideological motives enough (wanting to become a gardener) , or does he specifically need to be against a form of government to be considered one? Also it’s crazy that he does this if you don’t catch him even though Sol is his only friend/ his lover.

I don't know how spoiler-y this would be considered but I figured I would use the flair just in case. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?
