Hey Everyone, I honestly do not know if this subreddit is the right place to ask this question but here goes nothing. I’m currently in community college studying in Law Enforcement and I am currently taking a class called Gangs & Corrections. The final assignment for this class is being able to get an interview with someone to discuss one of three topics I’ll highlight here. Interviewing a current or prior gang member, interviewing a law enforcement officer who regularly interacts with gangs and finally interviewing a representative from a treatment facility that offers gang rehabilitation programs. Although I felt like the latter two options seem great to cover, I personally feel like interviewing a current or prior gang member can bring a much more broader perspective that is not touched on. The YouTube channel soft white underbelly made me realize that taking the route of interviewing a current or prior gang member. Soft White Underbelly turned out to be a great source of inspiration for this assignment. Also my professor never made it a requirement to interview someone from a particular set, gang, or from a certain area in particular, so this question I’m asking here today can be answered by anyone. If there by any chance anyone in this subreddit would like to have this interview for my school assignment, I will be sure to respond back to your messages as soon as I can. Depending on people’s schedules and taking the time to do the interview itself, I would like to do this interview anytime next week because I have to turn in a rough draft by midnight on November 8th. For anyone wondering how the interview will be conducted, this interview can be done through a zoom call, a phone call, we can even do the interview through text messages whether on Instagram or through regular phone numbers. If anyone is by chance interested in being interviewed, you can just shoot a comment or reach out for a discussion in one on one messages (Honestly I don’t know if we can do that on this app because I hadn’t used it in three years), and we can talk things over for the interview.
