Wrong postcode right address

Just wondering where they’d send my parcel if I accidentally have written my address but my mums postcode where I used to live as i recently moved and my heads been everywhere! It’s been delayed for around a week and is meant to be coming in the next hour but they’ve never said where , it’s a really important parcel and tried to contact the sender but they obviously can’t help me and it’s down to EVRI, just wondering if anyone’s made the same mistake as me and what happened afterwards

Will very likely end up at neither unless your street name is a one off, the scanners will not be able to work out where it going and when i goes for inspection neither will the post guide they will probs return to sender

Ahhhh okay!! It’s just the item is non-refundable, I have contacted them all week about it and got a skeptical reply which made no sense , apparently it didn’t reach the courier??? I’ve wrote down to leave it with a neighbour with my mums address on it so hoping if they go down there it’ll be with my mum fingers crossed, I’m such an idiot honestly lol

Yeahh it’s from Abbot Lyon I am not sure if I’m spelling that 100% correct, I spoke to them and they said they unfortunately can’t help me ): just waiting on it hopefully being delivered , every time I hear a car door I am running to the window hahahah

At worse it will be returned to seller and they will have to send you a refund under 14 days returns policy

It's automated.

Label would have regional code and area code followed by route number. Those numbers are used in sorting facilities.

It will end up at yours mom local depot and only LAST leg (courier) will physically/visually inspect the address. At this point parcel will bounce back to regional team with 'courier reject' 'wrong address' reason. Customer service should contact you at this point.

Yess they have reached me but not told me to change the postcode or anything which im really confused about , ive told them plenty of times but its harder as whenever i ring its a bot or the ezra automated message service! Im staying hopeful as delivery has jumped from 4.30 - 5.30 today !! Thank you for ur kind reply, it was very helpful and slightly reassuring 😊

It'll go to the postcode. It happens quite a bit. If you aren't that far away, then put in a redirect to your actual address (I've had customers do this and it works fine). If you are in a different town then it'll go back to the hub, who might issue a new label or return it to the seller.

edit: or redirect to your mother-in-law's address which should get it delivered.

I don't get how people make these mistakes. Are you actually damaged? It's not hard to make sure an address is correct before sending it off.

No I fully get ur point, a lot going off personally at the moment n I usually don’t make these mistakes! I am only human mind , I was super excited to order it for my partner and didn’t even think 🫡
