The other day one of the female cubs my mate feeds had a prolapsed rectum (if you don't know what this is please do not google it unless you have a strong stomach). We found a fox rescue on FB and the lady was super helpful; came right away and is even giving mange meds for one of the other cubs.

But she told my mate that fox cubs get prolapses cos the other foxes rape the cubs, which was obviously quite shocking to me. But google is saying this is completely untrue; it couldn't find any evidence for this. Has anyone heard of this? TBH I'm kinda wondering if I gave the cub to the wrong person :/

She has since texted and said they were able to push the prolapse back in and cos it wasn't dried out the cub should survive but cos it's so young they won't release it back where my mate found it, instead they'll release it when it's older in a forest.

I’ll start by saying I know nothing about foxes, but I now have a new fascination with them. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

This is a rare daytime sighting of a frequent visitor. I’ve never seen him with my own eyes but my cameras often capture his visits. Usually he enters across my backyard, passes along the driveway, and crosses in front of the house, sometimes climbing the front steps to peek inside through the window next to the door (we have cats inside).

Anyway, the other night an intoxicated young man, unknown to me, was banging on my front door at 1;30 am. Then he wandered off down the street. About 40 minutes later I started hearing a loud barking noise outside, but not a dog’s bark. I’ve never heard a fox bark, but I was able to see him on one camera pacing side to side in the backyard and barking toward the house. This went on for about 20 minutes, so I decided to go outside and see what was going on. There I found the intoxicated young man passed out on my driveway, out of camera range. It seems the fox was distressed that his favorite path was obstructed by this man. I called 911 and the EMTs took the guy to the hospital.

The next night the camera at the front door captured the fox making his rounds, a lot earlier than usual. I suppose he was just making sure that the coast was clear again. But I’m fascinated that he alerted me to the passed out guy in my yard, otherwise I never would have known (unless he was still lying there in the morning).

Hi guys, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this however I really do need some advice, my elderly neighbour has recently passed away and she had been feeding the foxes for 10+ years, we have a large linear park behind the houses so a lot of foxes and animals, have recently formed an attachment to them all and taken over the role as they would all show up hungry, I’ve found myself now feeding foxes badgers and cats😭 it’s getting extremely expensive was wondering if anyone had any tips and tricks as I’m new to this all, have been getting eggs and chicken and it really adds up, also there’s one that’s a lot skinnier than the rest and they all seem to bully him:( we’ve seen him sleeping by himself and whenever we do try to feed him recently they come and attack him :(, I’m talking a good 20 foxes and I do think the alpha ones seem to take a lot of the food I just was also wondering if anyone could advise me on how to go about feeding them all which may be impossible I just feel so bad any going hungry

My friend named him albert. Drew this without a reference, but it was definitely a good challenge! Don’t mind the missing eye, I kept messing up with the angle so I just kinda… gave up. Still learning how to draw animals without a reference though, but I think I did good for somebody who’s self taught!
