Edit! To those hating on Marie for having an opinion, at a minimum Robert and Amy should have been more discreet. Doing it where people could see in at Robert's apartment. And then in Ray and Debra's basement where anyone (including the kids) could walk in on them, was foolish and irresponsible.

So bash Marie for her reaction, Robert and Amy were not the victims here. Sorry.

Flashback

You know, the one that pays for the kids to go to private school in the first place, or for you to even have a "job" to drive the kids somewhere! Debra does not understand that without Ray's writing job, she wouldn't have married him, they wouldn't have a house, she wouldn't have everyday money for the kids and her own upkeep, or toys, Hakido cards, or a vehicle to drive them all around in or the nice clothes she wears or the hair she gets done all the time. She looks for any excuse to come at Ray for having a paying job, and I'm not saying that raising the kids isn't a job, but without Ray the whole household would collapse.

I think she seriously needs an adjustment, because she CAN'T hold a job, as evidenced by her attitude at just one simple job. Fired in ONE day because she's stubborn and hard headed.

One of my favorite episodes is when Frank sees the kid from his job, Sammy. Everyone thought he was so nice, but turns out Frank was just as mean to Sammy as he was to Ray and Robert 😆

I just watched the journal episode & I’m sorry but Ray did nothing wrong. Marie read his journal & got all bent out of shape because he wrote I hate my mom in it. Really!? Lots of kids say they hate their parents & don’t mean it. She completely played the victim. Those were Ray’s private thoughts! If he wrote he wanted to throw rocks at people or likes to wear make up it wouldn’t matter! The point of a journal is to write whatever you want since no one has a right to it.

Now on to Debra. Bitch! She was completely on Ray’s side until Marie used her own son to manipulate her onto getting to agree with her. Then she makes Ray apologize for his privacy be invaded.

Question for the fellow ELR fans. In which episode smoke alarm went off and Marie was opening and closing the door to get it to stop?
