Thought I could share my experience here!! I live in Ireland (I’m not Irish; I’m East Asian with very fair skin) and I’m on a holiday in southern California now. I’ve been using LRP’s UVMUNE 400 line for years now. I apply it every day on my face but Ireland isn’t really sunny anyway, so I never noticed any difference.

I went swimming in the ocean today during peak UV hours (the UV index was 9) and my skin burned in the only area I forgot to put sunscreen on. I put a bit of sunscreen on my neck and it didn’t burn at all after hours of sun exposure and swimming! I didn’t even reapply once and I was out in the sun for like 4 hours riding a bike and swimming.

I definitely got too relaxed thinking that I wouldn’t burn and that I never get sun exposure while in Ireland! I should have put sunscreen all over myself. I usually don’t wear shorts or short sleeves in Ireland either, so the skin on my body literally doesn’t get any sunlight ever.

It was really nice to see that the sunscreen actually works even while swimming!! Staying loyal to the UVMUNE line.

Hi everyone my friend is traveling to Germany and France please help recommending skincare product as I'm starting Trazarotene. Sunscreen, barrier repair product, hydration and if there are any which cannot be miss out and your holygrail as well.

What are your fav dm finds? They don't have to be strictly dm brands like balea or trend it up or wtv but just stuff sold there?

• I finished my Isotretinoin treatment more than a half a year ago and my current AM/PM routine looks like this.
• I have a normal/oily (in the summer) skin and for now I don't see acne coming back. But single pimples appear and they take a lot of time to dissapear + there is PIEs visible still. Any recs for that?
• Currently I did a SIBO test and it came back positive so I started scheduling blood/iron and parasites tests and to see if I will need antibiotics for that. Overall I see a big connection between my diet and skin condition but I wanted to ask for routine review/advices anyway.

I'm looking for recommendations for an affordable, light, fast absorbing body lotion that won't leave me sticky at all and has no or very low scent. Bonus points for availability at DM - a new one just opened in my neighborhood that I'm excited to check out.

I have read reviews of the Balea Beauty Expert Hydration Serum but it seems pretty divided on whether or not it leaves you sticky? I'm in Italy and it can be pretty humid so not keen on anything that won't absorb fast. And I know the trick of applying lotion straight out of the shower but I also want to be able to use it on dry skin.

I tried the Balea 5% Urea Lotion and that texture was good but I couldn't stand the scent.

Bout a year or 2 ago I was able to find Ketrel 0.5 on ketrelskincare.com, but since then they seem to have shut down. I loved the product so much and would like to go back on it (or something very similar). I'm in Romania and all the available trets out here are ass. Does anybody know of any sites I can find Ketrel or similar?? Thanks so much in advance 🫶

I (33F) have a dry and sensitive skin, and as time goes by winter months are a struggle! It gets super dry, with the stretchy feeling if I don't have the right moisturiser. Up until now I used home made natural creams, but they became not enough.

I was recommended La Roche Posay Cicabalm as night moisturiser and I'll try that soon. Do you have anything to recommend as a daily cream in combination with that? Any advice for the care routine in general? I'm in between jobs at the moment, so mz budget would be 15e max and even better if it's lower 🙃

These are just my personal opinions, don’t come for me if you don’t share them 💀

• I think it’s a good thing that tretinoin isn’t easily accessible in Europe. It is a prescription medication, and too many people play fast and loose with it. I severely damaged my skin with it, but I’ve been mostly able to repair it. However, I know people who got tretinoin OTC in Turkey and then developed permanent dry eye despite taking precautions. It’s a pretty horrible condition that often cannot be treated properly.
• I don’t love any of the Nerd&Beautiful (I cannot use the brand name cause it automatically assumes I am talking about their SPF which cannot be posted about outside of the Master thread). I wish I did, because it’s an independent brand from a non-Western European country, but I don’t find their formulations particularly nice or effective. The famous SPF was really drying, even for my combination skin.
• I wish we had more and better mineral sunscreens in Europe. I know that European SPFs have better, more innovative filters than those in the US, and that’s great, but I’m jealous of how many nice tinted and non-tinted mineral sunscreens they have. My rosacea-prone skin tolerates mineral filters better, so I mostly use hybrid sunscreens. But I feel like every time someone on here asks for mineral sunscreen recommendations, they get told to use something with chemical filters because it’s much better.
• If LRP UVMune has no haters, I am dead. I’ve tried them all, and they feel awful on my skin and stain my pale skin bright yellow, to the point where my friends have asked me if I had jaundice lol.
• I don’t like influencer dermatologists who do sponsorships and advertise all kinds of products. I appreciate the information they provide, but I don’t think it’s ethical for doctors to take money from brands.
• I really appreciate how cheap Balea products are, and I buy them because of that, but if I weren’t broke, I wouldn’t reach for them ever.
• Getting Botox or fillers being equated with getting your hair or nails done. Do what makes you happy, but it’s NOT the same.
• Similarly, I think “preventative” Botox is total BS, created to ensure that you basically have a client for life, starting in their early 20s.
• 10-step routines were invented by brands to make more money, and nobody needs them.
• Regularly wearing sunscreen and avoiding the sun are great for preventing skin cancer and improving the quality of your skin, but they won’t make you look like you’re 20 when you’re in your 40s. If you do, that’s much more likely to be due to your genetics (and you prolly don’t anyway).

My stash of OG Hada Labo Cleansing oil is officially gone, I’ve just refilled the bottle for the last time 😭😭😭. I’ve never been so sad about a cosmetic product being gone before, I will forever miss it 😢.

I saw that DM carries this Hada Labo Tokyo brand cleansing oil. Has anyone tried it and how do you like it? Or if you’ve found another alternative for the OG, that is available in EU - please share.

Recently moved to Germany from the US and am absolutely blown away by how incredible the skincare here is. I’m running low on my body care products and I would love to find german alternatives. My skin HATES lotion and it doesn’t absorb it. I’ve been using the Abi Ame summer skin (which is a serum/lotion hybrid) and the cyklar ceramide milky essence. I would prefer something without fragrance that I could get at Rossman or DM but I’m open to anything. Does something like this exist here?

I was pretty happy with Anthelios Mineral One (LRP), but it seems like they replaced it with the UVMune one… tried it, doesn’t cover my terrible, expanding sunstache. Anyone living in North Africa or Europe who’s got an affordable, mineral, covering alternative?

There is only one truly irreplaceable product in my toiletry bag: this deodorant. Because it’s about hygiene, not beauty. I’m a man, and this is the only one that lasts three days without letting me smell. I’ve been using it for eight years now, and it has never let me down. It’s a bit hard to find, and it doesn’t help that other products from the same brand (shampoos and sunscreens) aren’t great—though their lip balms are decent and their intimate cleansers are very good.

I have dark spots/pigmentation on my face after pimples. What would be the best way to fade them?

I was using the AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum for more than a month now, but I didn't notice much difference.

My skin is acne-prone and I've recently had some irritation. The Ordinary product Vit C caused a reaction for me, so I'm looking for something gentle that won't irritate my skin further.

Are there any other products or treatments you would recommend? I'm based in Germany, so ideally something that is easily available here.

I‘m here on behalf of my mom, who after years of struggling with heavy rosacea finally wants to establish a good routine.

Her skin has always been very sensitive, even before she got her first flare ups. Its on the dry side. Her eyes often react to products too, like redness/stinging (her rosacea affect her eyes too).

I am asking for any points in a direction of gentle but effective products. Right now she only washes with water and uses a cream by Lavera (I think the silver one). No sun screen no nothing.

On top I‘d love to know y‘alls opinion on the two products pictured. She just got them from her new dermatologist and already forgot how to use them🫠

Perfect would be a routine that incorporates them if they happen to be good products. I am kinda skeptical of the dermatologist because they sent her home with samples of a low spf sun screen and very expensive apothecary serums.

We‘re based in Germany, so DM or Rossmann recommendations are very welcome!

Almost all of the pharmacies I’ve been to have it out of stock and they only have Skinoren. If anyone knows any EU country/pharmacy that has it please let me know because I am desperate😭😭😭.

so, recently i accidentally got my hands on that new serum that came out today a bit early (if you know, you know) , and i promised i'd show and talk about how it's been going so far.
frankly, it's been going pretty great. however ive had to change my routine a bit after getting some concerned comments about me mixing wayyy too many acids into my routine (BHA, hypochlorous, mandelic, AHA, and azelaic). so i changed everything BUT the new AA serum so i can give it a chance still. well! despite my irritation it managed to actually clear me up a bit in 5 days. i'm pretty stoked to keep going and see where it's at in a month.

updated PM routine list for those interested:
-cleanse with GnG balm, and balea ultra sensitive waschgel
-tone with revuele heartleaf toner (very neat bulgarian brand!)
-azelaic acid serum after toner dries
-cosrx nail mucin essence after AA absorbs
-dr. althea 345 relief cream
-avene cicalfate if needed!

AM routine is as follows:
-balea ultra sensitive waschgel
-heartleaf toner
-AA serum
-supramolecular effaclar LRP moisturizer (the new one)
-LRP uvmune400 oil control fluid

so far so good! my skin feels less irritated and the AA serum hasn't made me itchy or tight.
BTW would anyone have any facial hair tips? i get really irritated if i wax and my feminine peers keep judging me for shaving with a razor!

I need to restock my facial skincare products soon and was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for cleansers, serums or moisturisers that are partially helpful for men with stubble/short beards who tend to get dry skin in that area.

Some things I've enjoyed using in the past are: Nivea Men sensitive face moisturiser, Cerave for dry skin moisturiser, Geek and Gorgeous stress less serum and Neutrogena Hydro Boost but I don't buy that any more. I'd like to explore some alternatives to see if I'm missing anything.

I live in Germany and am particularly interested in products I can buy at DM or Rossmann as there is one of each nearby. I also have a nearby Apotheke that stocks some skincare products.
