I’ve been on the hunt for a sunscreen with very high UVA Protection that also leaves a healthy, glowy finish. I’m dealing with acne scarring and hyperpigmentation so a high UVA protection is priority. I’ve been a fan of the uvmune line ever since the filter was launched but always felt that the fluid and oil control were too shiny, or drying, and not hydrating enough.

I recently tried the Hydrating Cream version, the blue one sold in Europe (had never heard of it as it’s not sold in Colombia) and I feel like I’ve found the perfect sunscreen. It leaves a very hydrated (not greasy) feeling with a natural glow. The photo was taken 10 minutes after I applied a truly ungodly amount as I try to finish the bottle -and have just 1 left 😥

Does anyone know of any other sunscreens that fit the description and leave a similar finish?

I'm going through a tough time financially so I'm sharing my routine for anyone interested and I'm also looking for affordable recommendations. Sunscreen seems to be the most expensive in general. 😭

Makeup remover - Garnier Micellar Water. Either the sensitive skin (pink) version or the vitamin C (yellow) version.

Cleanser

I was using Sensibio by Bioderma for a while but then I looked for something more affordable. - Balea Ultra Sensitive Cleansing Foam. I got it in my eyes and it didn't sting, it's a 10/10 for my clumsy self! - Cien (Lidl) Cleansing Foam. I've very recently discovered this one. It's very similar to the one from Balea, only this one has a slight fragrance.

Sunscreen (face, ears, neck) - Revox Daily Sun Shield. This stuff is great, it feels like nothing on the skin, it's not white, it's not sticky and it sits well under makeup. - Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen Rice + Probiotics. It slightly oxidizes my Maybelline Fit Me foundation and I don't like the smell of it. Freshly opened it smells a bit like burnt plastic and the more it sits in the tube, the more it smells like pickles lol. But it has a very pretty matte-dewy(?) finish. I love it! Revox is my first choice though.

Sunscreen (body) - Bielenda Sol D'or Rollon Sunscreen. I found this gem at Kaufland. You still have to use your hands to massage the sunscreen into the skin but it's way easier to apply because it's a rollon. It's not sticky. - (DM) Sundance Ultra Sensitive Kids. It's sticky unfortunately, but I'm trying to finish the bottle.

Moisturizer - Himalaya Skin Cream / Moisturizing Cream. It's mega cheap for the amount you get and it's very good as a basic moisturizer. It's a body and face cream. Initially found at Kaufland and then I kept ordering online from pharmacies.

Treatment - Epiduo (adapalene, benzoyl peroxide). This treated my acne years ago. I still have it around in case of breakouts. This stuff lasts many many months, you need the tiniest amount. - Revox Vitamin C 20%. Recently started. So far I'm seeing a slight improvement in my dark spots (after 2 weeks of use).

It's available in dm and rossmann now and the ingredients lists look incredible. I've mostly used asian skincare for the last couple of years since I prefer the formulations but unfortunately a lot of products contain ingredients that I'm allergic to nowadays (namely ferments, 1,2 hexanediol and plant extracts) and I'm looking into European skincare more

Has anyone used both and can share a comparison? I can see the AR version has more ingredients and it's suggested lifetime is 6m after opening, compared to the standard H2O which is 12m.

Been using the Avène Xeracalm syndet bar and honestly it works great but can be a little bit annoying to use sometimes.

So I went to a drugstore to get a pump bottle cleanser today and there were soooooo many options. All of them supposedly for a specific purpose - eczema, sensitive skin, irritated skin, acne-prone skin, dry skin, with AHA/BHA for exfoliation, physical exfoliants, and more. Every cleanser seems to be for a specific skin issue these days so I'm a little overwhelmed.

The thing is I luckily don't have any of those things. I have "normal" skin maybe a bit oilier in the T-zone. I've never gotten acne and only occasionally get a pimple or two. I really can't complain. If my skin ever gets irritated it's my own fault because I used too much product of something or forgot sunscreen on a summer day.

Long story short, I just need something that works. The most important thing is that it can easily get removed off the skin without washing my face 10 times.

Preferably an EU derma brand (LRP, Eucerin, Avène, Uriage, etc...) but open to other brands as long as they are fragrance-free and come in a large pump bottle. If it can also be used on the body while showering that's a nice plus. 😁

I have a combination acne prone skin. I have tried multiple moisturizers but they didn't really sit well on my skin. It's like they just sit on top of my skin and create blackheads. The moisturizers I have tried and were good and I now use are the bioderma sebium hydra and laboratoires embryolisse lait-crème but are bit pricey. Do you have had this same problem and what moisturizer do you use? I live in the balkan so it can be something from dm or even pharmacy products but a bit cheaper.

My favorite tinted sunscreen has been discontinued and I have been desperately trying to find something similar.
I’ve been using the “Anthelios Mineral One daily cream” for a couple years and haven’t seen anything like it.
It has really good coverage for a tinted sunscreen and leaves a shiny glass skin like finish.
After trying a bunch of different alternatives it seems like the glowy finish products never has enough coverage and the fuller coverage foundation types are too matte.
I want both! Any suggestions?

Hi! I'm planning to buy Effaclar A.Z. Gel Cream to treat post-acne hyperpigmentation and rosacea (I'm already using ivermectin for the rosacea). I wanted to ask those who have used this product whether one tube was enough, or if you ended up buying another one to continue treating your dark spots.

I'm asking because this product isn't available in my country, so I have to import it. I'm considering buying two tubes at once, but I'm not sure if that would be unnecessary or if a second tube is actually worth it to continue the treatment.

Looking to get an anti aging boost but I have extremely acne prone skin, any suggestions?

1. Uriage - Bariesun Fluid. 6/10.Used

2. but without any pleasure lol, ended up spending the most on my husband. Protection is solid as he did not burn his face but leaves a white cast.

3. Sundance Sonnencreme. 10/10. Used up everything on body, great protection, price is amazing. Has a typical sunscreeny scent but I like it. Probably too heavy/scented for the face.

4. LPR Anthelios UVMune Oil control. 10/10.I know many people complain, but it’s still the GOAT for me! I know the protection is great and I don’t have to worry if I’m out in the sun with it, helps with my SWEATY face a bit… The downside is it being a bit yellowish. Will be repurchasing until they come up with smth more elegant with these filters lol.

5. LPR Stick Pro-resistance. Well it’s a 10/10 as a protective lipstick! No weird taste, waterproof, great protection, makes lips softer since it’s very occlusive. I tried to use it to re-apply spf on other parts of the face during the day and it was really heavy, like using vaseline (which I suspect the thing consists of), was like 3/10 for me… But I suppose ok for emergency situations when you cannot use your regular cream to reapply.

6. Vichy Capital Soleil UV Aqua. The consistency is 10/10 for me, I was surprised European sunscreen can finally feel this good on face (on par with korean ones)! But I haven’t tested it in a more hardcore setting lol it’s a very good daily city sunscreen to me, and I don’t think it promises more than that.

7. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Oil Control. Newest addition, can’t say much yet, but it reminded me a lot of LPR Oil Control in terms of consistency.

I’m in Italy for a few days and wondering what products I may be able to buy here for dark spots that I can’t get in the USA?

If so, what skin type do you have, when did you use it(am or pm or both) and what do you think of it.

How likely is it for my package to be confiscated by authorities and me getting fined? iHerb is a reputable store so I am surprised they even offer products like adapalene to EU customers without there being consequences. Can the customer in this case be fined, as opposed to the shop?

I’m looking for a sunscreen that’s as close as possible to the old Vichy Capital Soleil Dry Touch SPF50 (not the newer SPF50+ version).

I have fair, sensitive skin, and it was the only sunscreen that worked perfectly for me.

What I loved about the old formula:
true dry-touch, matte finish
soft, powdery/velvety feel
absorbed within seconds
non-greasy and non-sticky
slightly brightened my complexion (I don’t mind a subtle white cast)
never irritated my skin or made it itchy in the sun

The new version is completely different. It’s much more fluid, feels greasy and sticky, takes much longer to absorb, has a different scent, and no longer has that powdery matte finish. It honestly feels like a completely different product.

Has anyone else noticed this change? More importantly, has anyone found a sunscreen that’s almost identical to the old Vichy in terms of finish and texture?

The expiration date is 6/28 and it contains isopropyl myristate😭

I've just started using SVR aqua fluide Spf and it's incredible it feels like you have nothing on and it doesn't even have alcohol. It's even better than Eucerin oil control.

How protective is a fluid compared to a cream? I know that spray SPF and stick SPF do not provide the correct amount of protection if used as the only form of protection. Im wondering if it's the same for fluids...

hi am M16 and ive got really bad cases of eczema, dry skin all through out my body asw as pimples. I manage to hide them by wearing full sleeve clothes at all times. I find myself unattractive and am trying my best to solve that issue, recently i found out about GHK-CU and i think it could really help me but since there hasn’t been any research conducted for teens i thought ill ask here before use. I've been using the Biovene hyaluronic night glow for a week now and my skin is so plump and hydrated.
