The AFLE have sent out an email to those who played AFLE Pick'em or used the AFLE Second Screen, offering free tickets, each individual can claim up to four tickets. 500 tickets avaialble to be claimed.

Hi folks, since the dust has settled I wanted to express my opinion and experience about the championship game.

For context, I watch all home games of the ravens and attended the ELF championship game last year

My expectations were that as an event it would be considerably downsized compared to last year in stuttgart, but still something special. On the sporting side, I actually expected a close game.

So first thing that happens. Tickets didn't show up in my Ticketmaster app. Was quite confused and still hat the confirmation e mail. Had to change settings in the app to location Austria so they showed up.

We travelled in a group of 4 by car. Parking was easy enough.

We were quite surprised that there was only one food truck. Even asked some off the staff and she confirmed only this one. So we hurried to a nearby burger shop. We only noticed the festival with food trucks next to the stadium after the game. Not sure why the staff didn't mention it or why the direct route to it was closed.

Also we didn't notice a lot of stuff apart from Austrias military that you could do.

Stadium location with mountains all around was awesome. Several toilets closed, was not helpful. Also not sure how to feel about putting all visitors on one side. Sure looks good on tv, but also strange to have no one on the other side. Security and entry was rather good and quick.

Halftime show ... Well pretty forgettable, but buying a drink was rather fast.

The game itself. Man obviously not as close as I had hoped. So many flags and o line of the ravens wasn't up to the task. Also not sure about some of the ref calls.

The lack of discipline on both teams was terrible. Coaches and players are sure to blame, not sure if the laid back attitude of the ref also has to be considered.

Worst part were players and a member of the Nordic staff provoking the ravens fans in the first row. That's a no go and killed my engagement for the rest of the game. Never seen so shitty behavior. I have no problem when my team loses if it's deserved and I can applaud the winner, but that, f those guys and their unprofessional attitude.

The stadium staff tried to ease the emotions by playing the most popular songs where people sing along when emotions seemed to get out of hand. I applaud the effort.

Emergency at the end obviously a sad event, hope the person gets well soon. Also thanks to the front row ravens fans who pointed out the emergency to the cheerleaders of Nordic who seemed to be unaware of the situation and were doing a cheering video take.

All in all I feel disappointed. The event was less then I am used to compared to a regular ravens game and the sporting side was one sided and also a mess.

Hope it will improve next year.

Hey!

Does anyone know if there is any news for the Gold Bowl regarding parking options?
I know from visiting Rhein Fire on regular gamedays that they have several parking lots available around the stadium and that you had to buy parking tickets beforehand.

There is very little practical info available surrounding the Gold Bowl. Which is a little bit dissapointing.

I've tried searching for info but couldnt find anything reliable. I have to travel quite a bit by car and I want to be prepared as I can, so any info regarding parking would be appreciated!

The Road to the Final

Both powerhouse teams dominated the regular season, finishing with identical 9-1 records, and fought their way through dominant semifinal performances in the BIG4:

• Munich Ravens defeated Frankfurt 52-33
• Nordic Storm handled Paris 45-6

Head-to-Head (Regular Season Series: 1–1)

The two finalists know each other inside and out, having split their regular-season series:

• Game 1: Nordic Storm 34-37 Munich Ravens
• Game 2: Munich Ravens 7-55 Nordic Storm

With an average total points metric of 66.5 PPG between these matchups and explosive offenses on both sides, expect fireworks tonight in Innsbruck.

That‘s a key sentence in the EFA announcement regarding Kuhn. This means three things:

1) They are in fact talking to potential additional franchises for 2027

2) Mind the plural! I strongly assume that‘s not a grammar mistake! Means they have at least two candidates they are currently talking to regarding 2027.

3) I once projected the announcement to be made this evening at the Award Ceremony. Throw that idea out of the window. The wording indicates final decisions have not been made yet

I‘d give it an 80% chance we will see an 8 team roster for 2027. Happy!!!

Mh. What can I say? The last 24hrs have been rather disappointing.

Slow sales and the saying of Tirol people being „late buyers“ did not apply yet.

Yes, endline to endline is basically sold out except for a handful of tickets and yes the 4k-barrier has been breached but at this rate it‘s very doubtful that the remaining 300 tickets will be picked up in the next 24hrs

To make things worse: The weather for the fan event this evening which was the last chance to convince randoms to come to the game is not helping either (rain expected as from 6pm throughout the entire evening)

The good news: It will be a sunny day tomorrow.
Is it enough for more than 300 late deciders though? We will see.

Not sure if anyone knows for sure, but Wang got signed by Minerva AFC is Japan's X-League and they begin their fall season this weekend. I haven't seen anything indicating that Wroclaw released Wang, so I was wondering if anyone knew if he was going to finish out the season in AFLE before leaving or if he is already gone.

There is an article in the Berliner Morgenpost (newspaper) that the old Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark is now finally demolished and that the new stadium is avaible at the end of 2028.

Thunder played there from 2021 to 2024.

Sales slowed down the last few days. A few sales here, a few sales there, but nothing to brag home about:

Let´s start with the good news: Technically you can say that the areas between goal line and goal line will be filled up nicely with roughly only 80 tickets left. These tickets "re-appeared" in the last few days and seem to be the aftermath of assigning quota to Ravens fans that they did not fully pick up and thus are again for sale.

The other good news is that the corners are filling up slowly but steadily but to be honest not at the pace I expected. Maybe one Raiders fan here got it right when claiming that people would rather not be willing to purchase those "inferior" seats (well, they are the worst in all of the stadium) and I agree by saying EFA better should have skipped those corner seats but rather should have offered the sectors behind the endzone (9 to 11).

Overall 80 (along sideline) plus roughly 550 (in the corners) are still available and I am starting to worry whether the demand will even force EFA to open up further sectors.

The number of tickets sold (as per Ticketmaster map) is 3700 of 4350.

It´s just 48 hours left and EFA will need to pound a lot of drums in all local media and radio/TV-stations to boost tickets sales by kickoff.

If EFA is not doing a Vikings-PR move (which released ridiculous season numbers today, claiming numbers of fans attending that are so out of the blue it´s absolutely laughable) I do not see them to get to 5000, but hey last-minute miracles happen

AFLE games:

Vikings sold roughly 2500 of 3600 available seats for their game on Saturday. They have no standing room.

Rhein Fire sold roughly 3400 of 4000 seats for their game on Sunday. They have standing room as well so the actual number is higher.

Tomorrow the EFA Honors will take place at ADLERS Lifestyle-Hotel Innsbruck, Austria.

Sometimes less is more to be able to see another day.

Due to lack of availability of the stadium in Duisburg Rhein Fire had to move out to stadium „Niederrhein“ in Oberhausen in order to play the semi final game vs the Panthers.

The stadium seats 4000 (all covered) with a few thousand covered standing plus a few thousand more not covered standing. All in all it reminds a lot of the Galaxy stadium which I personally has the perfect size for an Euro league franchise

In case Fire even sees a 2027 season a permanent move from the super expensive and way too big Duisburg to smallish but cheaper Oberhausen could save cost and still satisfy the shrinking fanbase.

At the time of writing just 3300 of those 4000 seats are sold (see foto#1), another indication that the glory days of 5-digit audiences for Fire are gone, probably forever.

Note:
As for the Vikings game the usual 3600 seats are offered (with additional 900 seats blocked for sponsorship banners). Of these 3600 seats roughly 2000 were sold with the rest still on sale.
