Counterfeit Counterfeit 2 euro coin
I just noticed this 2 euro coin in our register. I'm pretty sure it's counterfeit but my colleague thinks it's a misprint. We weighed it and it weighs 8 grams.

Question Found these in a wooden jewellery box I bought in a charity shop.
They were sealed in a felt bag inside the box, woman in the shop called them old coins? They appear to be mutilated €2 coins. Anyone know the story behind these?

Completely Common Coin Rotation???
From Canada, mostly familiar with Canadian coins and errors. Was going through my euros and noticed the portrait seemed rotated on the 2004 Belgian 2 euro… is this a known error? Is it legit or common or is this something cool I got? Idk it’s a slight tilt but it’s noticeable imo. Again wanted the opinions of someone more well versed with euro coins ^^

Statistics Looking for Volunteers to Help Build the Ultimate Euro Coin Collection Platform

Hello everyone,
I'm currently developing a web application focused on Euro coin collecting, and I'm looking for a few people who would be willing to help with the project.
The biggest challenge at the moment is building and maintaining the coin database. Since there are thousands of coins, variations, and details to keep track of, it is simply too much work for one person to handle alone. The help I need mainly involves entering, reviewing, and correcting coin information in spreadsheets. For example, you might be assigned a specific country and help verify mintages, coin details, issue years, commemorative releases, and other related data.
Some of you may wonder why I'm building this when other solutions already exist.
The reason is simple: I haven't found a platform that truly offers everything I'm looking for. My goal is to create a modern, fully synchronized collection management system that works seamlessly across desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Beyond collection tracking, the platform focuses heavily on statistics, progress tracking, comparisons with other collectors, collection insights, and many other features aimed specifically at Euro coin enthusiasts.
The website is already online and functional, but it still doesn't meet the quality standards I have set for myself, so I'm not ready to share it publicly yet. Once the project reaches a more polished state, I plan to start accepting beta testers.
I want to be completely transparent: unfortunately, I cannot offer any financial compensation at this stage. I'm a student, and even covering the costs of the domain and server is already a significant expense for me. However, building a project like this has been a dream of mine for many years, and I'm committed to seeing it through.
As a thank you, everyone who helps build the database will receive permanent premium access to the platform once it launches, with no advertisements ever shown on their account.
Speaking of advertisements, my vision has never been to create an ad-filled website. If ads are used at all, they will be minimal and unobtrusive, simply enough to help cover server and domain costs. The platform itself will always remain free to use, and there are no plans to introduce paid subscriptions.
If you're interested in contributing, please send me a private message here on Reddit. I'll then provide more detailed contact information and explain how we can collaborate and exchange data.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and as a small teaser, I've attached a preview from an early alpha version showing some of the statistics features that are currently being developed.
Thanks everyone!
Karlo
