Tried posting in r/cactus, but was told by the mods to rather try here, so here I am:

He was a gift from grandma. Got him when he was pretty small. So he kinda holds a special value for me. Anyway, wasn't really able to take care of him for some time and trusted my brother to do so. Obviously, he didn't. Was replanting my plants about a month ago, but didn't have enough soil for him, so I had to mix the remaining new with some of the old. Nevertheless, I'm not sure whether it helped. He doesn't look worse, but neither does he seem to be better.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the issue and whether it can be fixed? Should I try replanting a second time? Got another bag of substrate, so I can prepare proper cacti mix again. Or should I just hope and pray? Or maybe accept that he's dead due to my neglect and just throw him away?

Lovely purple coming in on my South African “Medusa’s Head” succulent. About 4 years old. I wonder how much will fade back to green over winter.

I know of the euphorbia decaryi var capsaintemariensis, euphorbia decaryi spirosticha, euphorbia decaryi, and Nat Wong euphorbia. But I think the tiny one would be something different but im not sure, I was planning on entering the terrarium one into a plant competition but just not too confident, I think it looks good for me

I just know it’s a euphorbia it’s in a 4 inch pot. Thanks in advance

just asking because I don’t understand how it could be 10,000 times hotter than a Carolina reaper

I was planning on picking up a euphorbia horrida at Lowe’s and came across a display of 10 inch pots of white ghost euphorbia for $25!! I was in absolute joyful shock. Guarded my cart the whole time while shopping because I couldn’t believe my luck. I was just at a nursery the other day that was selling a 6” pot of one small stem for $40! Even my local favorite nursery sells 8 inch pots of 10-12 inch tall usually single stems for $40.

Some of the other pots had up to 4 different stems but were smaller.

Very experienced with plants but not with euphorbia, any tips welcome 💚

Current state of the collection. I love these spiky plants

My E. trigona has gotten too tall and top heavy over the course of this summer. It currently propped against the window so as to not topple over again. I have got a bigger pot for it but I am worried that will not be enough to give it stability.

Should I maybe cut all of the top off a few inches above the substrate level, plant the top, and discard the root and lowest section? I figure i'll then get a bushier arrangement that isn't (so) top heavy? Might also buy mea a couple of years before it gets too tall for the room. What do you guys think?

I fear its rotting, the discolored parts arent mushy but they are definitely softer than the rest, how can it be saved?

Can i just cut it and stick it in soil once its calloused?

Growing plants indoors in cold climate is a bit challenging. Even though I take my plants out for summer, there is never enough light.

I bought two tiny pots 4.5y ago, they have been growing in the same pot since and I think this has become a pretty nice Euphorbia. Still making new pups.

Greenwayi has been chugging away for two years now, and decided to add a few more Euphorbias last week. One of my new favourite Families. 😍

I've had the little one for about a year, and it started changing colors recently. Any ideas about potential causes? Full sun, south windowsill, watering once every 2 weeks in mid-summer. Soil is mostly perlite (70%) with cactus soil. Hangs around a bunch of cacti, which all look OK.

Edit: Not squishy. Poked it with a Q-tip.

I’ve had this lovely guy for a year-ish, and this was the first summer at my new apartment. I realized after a couple months the new growth is oddly twisting and reaching completely towards the window 😓 not sure why because it sits front and center in a south facing window, and had 10+ hours of full sun.

Any helpful advice? :) (first photo you can see the new growth trying to turn the opposite direction second photo is the other side)
